1:1 當猶大王亞們的兒子約西亞在位的時候，耶和華的話臨到希西家的玄孫，亞瑪利雅的曾孫，基大利的孫子，古示的兒子西番雅。 The word of the LORD that came to Zephaniah son of Cushi, the son of Gedaliah, the son of Amariah, the son of Hezekiah, during the reign of Josiah son of Amon king of Judah:
1:2 耶和華說：我必從地上除滅萬類。 <<I will sweep away everything from the face of the earth,>> r declares the LORD. 1:3 我必除滅人和牲畜，與空中的鳥、海裏的魚，以及絆腳石和惡人；我必將人從地上剪除。這是耶和華說的。 <<I will sweep away both men and animals; I will sweep away the birds of the air and the fish of the sea. The wicked will have only heaps of rubble 1:3 The meaning of the Hebrew for this line is uncertain. when I cut off man from the face of the earth,>> r declares the LORD. 1:4 我必伸手攻擊猶大和耶路撒冷的一切居民，也必從這地方剪除所剩下的巴力，並基瑪林的名和祭司， <<I will stretch out my hand against Judah and against all who live in Jerusalem. Listen! The cry on the day of the LORD will be bitter, the shouting of the warrior there. 1:15 那日是忿怒的日子，是急難困苦的日子，是荒廢淒涼的日子，是黑暗幽冥、密雲烏黑的日子， That day will be a day of wrath, a day of distress and anguish, a day of trouble and ruin, a day of darkness and gloom, a day of clouds and blackness, 1:16 是吹角吶喊的日子，要攻擊堅固城和高大的城樓。 a day of trumpet and battle cry against the fortified cities and against the corner towers. 1:17 我必使災禍臨到人身上，使他們行走如同瞎眼的，因為得罪了我。他們的血必倒出如灰塵；他們的肉必拋棄如糞土。 I will bring distress on the people and they will walk like blind men, because they have sinned against the LORD. Their blood will be poured out like dust and their entrails like filth. 1:18 當耶和華發怒的日子，他們的金銀不能救他們；他的忿怒如火必燒滅全地，毀滅這地的一切居民，而且大大毀滅。 Neither their silver nor their gold will be able to save them on the day of the LORD's wrath. 一月三日 「我要量著在我面前群畜和孩子的力量慢慢的前行。」創世記卅三章14節 這真是一幅維妙維肖的圖畫，描寫雅各對群畜和孩子的慈心！他不願意他們趕走一天的路程。他不願意照粗人以掃的心意去催促他們。他乃是量著他們的力量慢慢地領他們前行。他知道他的兒女們年幼嬌嫩，牛羊正在乳養的時候。他知道他們一天能行多少路；他考慮了然後纔安排他們的行程。而且這條曠野的路程，以前他也曾走過；何處崎嶇、何處凶險、何處炎熱、何處寒冷，他都經歷過。所以他對他們說「我要慢慢地領你們前行。」「因這條路你們向來沒有走過。」（約書亞記三章4節） 前面的路程我們也向來沒有走過，可是主耶穌曾走過。我們的前途真是茫然無所知，可是主都經過。這一程使我們心慌意亂，那一程使我們筋疲力盡，另一程使我們乾渴得舌貼牙床，又一程使我們喘不過氣來─其實以前主都嚐過、走過。經上說：「耶穌因走路困乏。」（約四6）眾水沖淹祂，卻不能息滅祂的愛情。祂所經歷的苦難使祂成為最好的牧者。「祂知道我們的本體，思念我們不過是塵土。」（詩一○三14）祂每時每刻體恤我們；不讓我們走一步過於我們力量的路。前面一程雖然有些難行，但是盡可放心；因為祂不是加力量使我們得以安然過去，定是吩咐我們突然止步。 ─海弗格爾 絕非永遠是蔥綠的牧場， 有時全知全能的神指引我們走過崎嶇的道路， 黑暗茫茫。 不論是山頂的鳥語花香， 不論是深谷的陰沈淒涼， 因為祂總在那裏， 我絕不徬徨。 ─巴雷

January 3 "I will lead on softly, according as the cattle that goeth before me and the children be able to endure." (Gen. 33:14) ＷHAT a beautiful picture of Jacob's thoughtfulness for the cattle and the children! He would not allow them to be overdriven even for one day. He would not lead on according to what a strong man like Esau could do and expected them to do, but only according to what they were able to endure. He knew exactly how far they could go in a day; and he made that his only consideration in arranging the marches. He had gone the same wilderness journey years before, and knew all about its roughness and heat and length, by personal experience. And so he said:"I will lead on softly." " For ye have not passed this way heretofore." (Josh.3:4) We have not passed this way heretofore, but the Lord Jesus has. It is all untrodden and unknown ground to us, but He knows it all by personal experience. The steep bits that take away our breath, the stony bits that make our feet ache so, the hot shadeless stretches that make us feel so exhausted, the rushing rivers that we have to pass through─Jesus has gone through it all before us. "He was wearied with his journey." Not some, but all the many waters went over Him, and yet did not quench His love. He was made a perfect Leader by the things which He suffered. "He knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust." Think of that when you are tempted to question the gentleness of His leading. He is remembering all the time; and not one step will He make you take beyond what your foot is able to endure. Never mind if you think it will not be able for the step that seems to come next; either He will so strengthen it that it shall be able, or He will call a sudden halt, and you shall not have to take it at all. ─Frances Ridley Havergal. ■ 永活之泉（01月03日）
一月三日 耶穌 「你要給祂起名叫耶穌；因祂要將自己的百姓從罪惡裡救出來。」馬太福音一章21節 主耶穌曾經成為人，所以祂有人的名字。雖然祂的母親、祂的門徒，和祂所有的朋友，都以這個名字——耶穌——稱呼祂，但卻可能很少想到這名字是甚麼意思。今天大多數的基督徒對於這個名字所包含的有多麼地寶貝，也知道得何等微少！這名字——耶穌——就是祂要將自己的百姓從罪惡裡救出來。 許多人想到祂十字架上的死，也想到祂在天上所作代禱者的工作，但有多少人真認識祂在天上是一位永活者，天天想念我們，並渴望將祂自己啟示給我們呢？祂實在是盼望我們每天能把我們的愛心，和我們的敬拜歸給祂。 基督徒常常祈求基督拯救他們脫離罪惡，但他們卻對這蒙福的工作是如何作成的知道的很少。這乃是永活的基督將祂自己啟示給我們，並藉著祂愛的能力，將我們戀慕罪惡的心除掉！這乃是藉著我們個人和祂之間的交通，基督拯救我們脫離了罪惡；所以我必須帶著我的心和其中所有的罪，單獨的到主耶穌這個大能的個人救主面前，神的聖潔正居住在祂裡面。正當祂和我單獨在一起有交通，表達彼此愛情和願望的時候，祂的愛就要藉著聖靈在我心中的工作，趕出並勝過所有的罪惡。 哦，基督徒啊！請學習知道每天與主耶穌有交通，乃是一個有福的享受，也是一個快樂和聖潔的秘訣，你的心要切慕禱告的時間，以此為你一天中最好的時間。當你學習每天劃出時間來單獨和祂親近的時候，你就要經歷與你同在，使你整天之中能夠全然愛祂、事奉祂，並行走在祂的道路中。藉著這樣不斷的交通，你就會找到真實敬虔生活能力的秘訣。

一月三日 雲彩與黑暗 「密雲和幽暗，在祂的四圍。」詩篇九十七篇2節 一個沒有從神之靈生過的人，會對你說：耶穌的訓誨是極其平庸、極其簡單的。但是在你受過聖靈之洗後，你會覺得「雲彩與黑暗圍繞著祂。」──這種景象，只有在我們接近耶穌訓誨的時候才會覺得；而我們也只有於內在神的靈光中，才能瞭悟耶穌的訓誨。假使我們沒有超過宗教平庸的見解，擺脫宗教習慣的形式，恐怕是還沒有真實覺悟神的觀念。未曾引到耶穌之前的人，常是粗魯輕浮的，但及至他們完全瞭解耶穌之所行以後，又有更進一步的黑雲起來，即那認識祂是誰的難關。 耶穌說：「我對你們所說的話，（不是曾經說過的）就是靈、就是生命。」（約六63）從前聖經所給予我們的，不過是一個一個的字，一團一團的雲彩與黑暗；等到耶穌基督在一種特殊的情形之下，把那些話重複地向我們述說後，這些話便在剎那之間變成了靈與生命。神不是用異象或夢幻向我們說話，而是用靈感的言語；我們和神交談的時候，也是用靈感的言語。
■ 中文上海嗎哪（01月03日）
一月三日 「儆醒禱告」馬太福音廿六章41節 我們不僅應當儆醒禱告，還必須注意我們禱告的答案。就像我們需要智慧去按神的旨意禱告，我們也需要信心來接受禱告的答案。 有個基督徒吐露出他曾多年處在黑暗的日子，他說神沒有回答他的禱告，因此他有段時間落在不信的邊緣。 然而只要花少許的時間，便可以使這個朋友瞭解，他的禱告是完全越了權的，而且讓他明白神並未應許回答那類的禱告。他禱告的那些事情，只要他稍加運用普通的智慧就可以自己處理掉。儘管之後他從不信的疑雲中被釋放出來，但他的信仰生命險些就被摧毀了。 其實，有些事情我們只要藉著神已啟示的亮光，就可以解決。很多人總是求神給他們特殊的奇蹟、印證以及超自然地啟示祂的旨意。但我們的責任是運用祂已賜給我們的亮光，如此祂會更多地賜給我們各方面的需要。
