1:1 大流士王第二年八月,耶和華的話臨到易多的孫子、比利家的兒子先知撒迦利亞,說: In the eighth month of the second year of Darius, the word of the LORD came to the prophet Zechariah son of Berekiah, the son of Iddo:
1:2 「耶和華曾向你們列祖大大發怒。 <<The LORD was very angry with your forefathers. 1:3 所以你要對以色列人說,萬軍之耶和華如此說:你們要轉向我,我就轉向你們。這是萬軍之耶和華說的。 Therefore tell the people: This is what the LORD Almighty says: <Return to me,> declares the LORD Almighty, <and I will return to you,> says the LORD Almighty. 1:4 不要效法你們列祖。從前的先知呼叫他們說,萬軍之耶和華如此說:『你們要回頭離開你們的惡道惡行。』他們卻不聽,也不順從我。這是耶和華說的。 Do not be like your forefathers, to whom the earlier prophets proclaimed: This is what the LORD Almighty says: <Turn from your evil ways and your evil practices.> But they would not listen or pay attention to me, declares the LORD. 1:5 你們的列祖在哪裏呢?那些先知能永遠存活嗎? Where are your forefathers now? And the prophets, do they live forever? 1:6 只是我的言語和律例,就是所吩咐我僕人眾先知的,豈不臨到你們列祖嗎?他們就回頭,說:『萬軍之耶和華定意按我們的行動作為向我們怎樣行,他已照樣行了。』」 But did not my words and my decrees, which I commanded my servants the prophets, overtake your forefathers? <<Then they repented and said, <The LORD Almighty has done to us what our ways and practices deserve, just as he determined to do.> >> 1:7 大流士第二年十一月,就是細罷特月二十四日,耶和華的話臨到易多的孫子、比利家的兒子先知撒迦利亞,說: On the twenty-fourth day of the eleventh month, the month of Shebat, in the second year of Darius, the word of the LORD came to the prophet Zechariah son of Berekiah, the son of Iddo. 1:8 「我夜間觀看,見一人騎著紅馬,站在窪地番石榴樹中間。在他身後又有紅馬、黃馬,和白馬。」 During the night I had a vision--and there before me was a man riding a red horse! He was standing among the myrtle trees in a ravine. Behind him were red, brown and white horses. 1:9 我對與我說話的天使說:「主啊,這是甚麼意思?」他說:「我要指示你這是甚麼意思。」 I asked, <<What are these, my lord?>> The angel who was talking with me answered, <<I will show you what they are.>> 1:10 那站在番石榴樹中間的人說:「這是奉耶和華差遣在遍地走來走去的。」 Then the man standing among the myrtle trees explained, <<They are the ones the LORD has sent to go throughout the earth.>> 1:11 那些騎馬的對站在番石榴樹中間耶和華的使者說:「我們已在遍地走來走去,見全地都安息平靜。」 And they reported to the angel of the LORD, who was standing among the myrtle trees, <<We have gone throughout the earth and found the whole world at rest and in peace.>> 1:12 於是,耶和華的使者說:「萬軍之耶和華啊,你惱恨耶路撒冷和猶大的城邑已經七十年,你不施憐憫要到幾時呢?」 Then the angel of the LORD said, <<LORD Almighty, how long will you withhold mercy from Jerusalem and from the towns of Judah, which you have been angry with these seventy years?>> 1:13 耶和華就用美善的安慰話回答那與我說話的天使。 So the LORD spoke kind and comforting words to the angel who talked with me. 1:14 與我說話的天使對我說:「你要宣告說,萬軍之耶和華如此說:我為耶路撒冷為錫安,心裏極其火熱。 Then the angel who was speaking to me said, <<Proclaim this word: This is what the LORD Almighty says: <I am very jealous for Jerusalem and Zion, 1:15 我甚惱怒那安逸的列國,因我從前稍微惱怒我民,他們就加害過分。 but I am very angry with the nations that feel secure. I was only a little angry, but they added to the calamity.> 1:16 所以耶和華如此說:現今我回到耶路撒冷,仍施憐憫,我的殿必重建在其中,準繩必拉在耶路撒冷之上。這是萬軍之耶和華說的。 <<Therefore, this is what the LORD says: <I will return to Jerusalem with mercy, and there my house will be rebuilt. 三月廿三日 「他們將爭戰時所奪的財物分別為聖,以備修造耶和華的殿。」歷代志上廿六章27節 物質的力量是含蓄在地裏煤中的,煤是古代的植物受壓、受燒而成的;照樣,屬靈的力量是含蓄在我們裏面靈中的,靈越經過試煉和戰爭,越加增力量。但是這種試煉和戰爭的痛苦,是我們現在所不能明白的。 有一天我們要看見:我們在試煉和戰爭時所奪的財物,能叫我們幫助帶領別的信徒,鼓勵他們經過試煉和戰爭而進入天城。 可是,我們絕不能忘記:幫助別人的條件,乃是自己先在苦難中得勝。在苦難中怨天尤人,絕不能給別人甚麼益處。 保羅帶到各處的,並不是他的墳墓,乃是他得勝的讚美;他的試煉越難,他的信靠和歡呼也越多。他說:「我若被澆奠在你們信心的祭物上,也是喜樂,並且與你們眾人一同喜樂。」(腓二17,直譯)主,求您幫助我們從一切臨到我們的事上得到力量!在試煉和戰爭中發出讚美來叫您得著快樂!叫同走天路者得著鼓勵! ─譯自屬天的日子 祂把我放進籠中, 離開了園中的樹木青蔥; 但我仍要唱出最美的歌頌, 因為是祂把我放進籠中。 這是造物主的旨意, 我絕不掙扎卻安定從容, 還要引聲高歌, 使歌聲直達天城。

March 23 "Out of the spoils won in battle did they dedicate to maintain the house of the lord."(1 Chron. 26:27.) PHYSICAL force is stored in the bowels of the earth, in the coal mines, which came from the fiery heat that burned up great forests in ancient ages; and so spiritual force is stored in the depths of our being, through the very pain which we cannot understand. Some day we shall find that the spoils we have won from our trials were just preparing us to become true "Great hearts" in the Pilgrim's progress, and to lead our fellow pilgrims triumphantly through trial to the city of the King. But let us never forget that the source of helping other people must be victorious suffering. The whining, murmuring pang never does anybody any good. Paul did not carry a cemetery with him, but a chorus of victorious praise; and the harder the trial, the more he trusted and rejoiced, shouting from the very altar of sacrifice. he said, "Yea, and If I be offered upon the service and sacrifice of your faith, I joy and rejoice with you all." Lord, help me this day to draw strength from all that comes to me! ─Days of Heaven upon Earth. "He placed me in a little cage, Away from gardens fair; But I must sing the sweetest songs Because He placed me there. Not beat my wings against the cage If it's my Maker's will, But raise my voice to heaven's gate Amd sing the louder still!"

三月廿三日 不住的代禱 「……不住的禱告。」帖撒羅尼迦前書五章17節 一般的基督徒對事奉神的標準與聖經所告訴我們的,是何等的不同。他們只重於個人的平安——赦罪的恩使我們能進天堂。但聖經的標準遠超過種想法——一個真正的基督徒乃是將一切力量、時間、意念並愛,完全獻給那位救贖我們的榮耀的神,並且樂意事奉祂。天堂乃是開始於人與神的交通。 對於前者而言,「不住的禱告」不過是不必要也是不可能達到完全的生活。有誰能做得到?不這樣做也一樣可以進天堂。但對一個真實的基督徒而言則恰相反,這句話乃說出神應許於人者乃最高的喜樂,一種充滿著一切福氣的生活,藉著代禱而臨到人。因著人恆切的禱告,禱告就愈來愈成為人在地上最高的目標、最大的喜樂,也是與神之間交通的最寶貴經歷。 「不住的禱告。」但願我們以最大的信心,把這句話當做是神的聖靈在我們心內做工的一個應許。神也應許我們得以與主耶穌有密切的連合,使我們能像祂,這一切都因著祂在神的右邊,永遠為我們代禱。願禱告成為我們蒙召的主要因素之一,使我們知道,我們乃是在神恩典中做忠實的僕人與管家。當我們想起主耶穌曾說:「我在他們裡面,你在我裡面」時,我們能相信父如何做工在祂裡面,基督為大祭司,也照樣為我們禱告並做工在我們裡面。當從上面的呼召之信心充滿在我們內心的時候,我們就開始覺得,在地上沒有任何一刻、任何事物能與做神大祭司的特權相比;亳無間隔地行走在祂神聖的同在裡,把我們四周靈魂的重擔卸在祂的寶座前,從祂得著能力與祝福分賜他人。 這的確應驗古時的話說:「人是照著神的形像及樣式造的。」

三月廿三日 我是屬肉體的嗎? 「因為在你們中間,有嫉妒紛爭,這豈不是屬乎肉體麼?」哥林多前書三章3節 自然人並不感覺甚麼肉慾不肉慾。抵抗重生之靈的慾望與抵抗肉體的慾望,兩不相容。才產生這種感覺。保羅說:「你們當順著聖靈而行,就不放縱肉體的情慾了。」(加五16)肉慾便消滅不見了。 你喜歡意氣之爭麼?稍小之事也易擾亂你的心麼?「凡是這樣的人,便不是基督徒。」保羅偏說他們是基督徒,因為他把這些事情關連到肉慾的方面去了。聖經裡面有沒有一種真理,容易觸動你的怒氣?倘若如此,那便憑證你還是屬肉體的。假使成聖之工業已作成,決無如此痕跡的外露。 如果神的靈察出你裡面有甚麼不對,祂不要你糾正;祂要你接受光明,祂要來糾正。光明之子常坦白無隱,認罪於神之前;一個黑暗之子,反作種種彎曲的解釋。光明來到,錯失自覺。作光明之子而認罪,神自會對付那種錯失;如果你替自己辯護,那便證明你自己仍是黑暗之子。 離去肉慾的憑證是甚麼呢?不要自欺,當肉慾之離我而去,那是最真實不過的事。你也有許多機會,向自己證明神恩典的奇妙。實際的測驗,是唯一的證據。你說:「如果這從前發生過,我真是要生氣的!」你會稀奇神在你裡面所作的工。

三月廿三日 「若有人在基督裡,他就是新造的人……。」哥林多後書五章17節 一個人在主裡重生和個人地位的昇高,可說是有很大的差別。哲學的教導是我們正在提高人類的地位;但這不是福音的教導。相反的,十字架的教導是人必須與主同死,完全失去自我,然後在主裡重生。 重生並不是一種改進,也不是一種地位的提高;重生乃是一種新的屬靈生命,使我們從一個無價值的人進到神的裡面,並且擁有祂的性格。我們不僅成為新造的人,同時不斷地在主裡進升到更高的境界。所以讓我們拒絕接受比重生次一等的生命。 我已與耶穌同釘十字架, 十字架已完全釋放了我; 我已與耶穌一起復活了, 現在祂住在我心裡且作我的王。 這是主基督的故事: 祂藉著死在十架上得到榮耀的寶座。 就像祂一樣,我們通往榮耀的路, 心必須先經過死亡。
