箴言, 1章

^1:1 以色列王大衛兒子所羅門的箴言： The proverbs of Solomon son of David, king of Israel:
^1:2 要使人曉得智慧和訓誨，分辨通達的言語， for attaining wisdom and discipline; for understanding words of insight;
^1:3 使人處事領受智慧、仁義、公平、正直的訓誨， for acquiring a disciplined and prudent life, doing what is right and just and fair;
^1:4 使愚人靈明，使少年人有知識和謀略， for giving prudence to the simple, knowledge and discretion to the young--
^1:5 使智慧人聽見，增長學問，使聰明人得著智謀， let the wise listen and add to their learning, and let the discerning get guidance--
^1:6 使人明白箴言和譬喻，懂得智慧人的言詞和謎語。 for understanding proverbs and parables, the sayings and riddles of the wise.
^1:7 敬畏耶和華是知識的開端；愚妄人藐視智慧和訓誨。 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools 1:7 The Hebrew words rendered ((fool)) in Proverbs, and often elsewhere in the Old Testament, denote one who is morally deficient. despise wisdom and discipline.
^1:8 我兒，要聽你父親的訓誨，不可離棄你母親的法則〔或譯：指教〕； Listen, my son, to your father's instruction and do not forsake your mother's teaching.
^1:9 因為這要作你頭上的華冠，你項上的金鍊。 They will be a garland to grace your head and a chain to adorn your neck.
^1:10 我兒，惡人若引誘你，你不可隨從。 My son, if sinners entice you, do not give in to them.
^1:11 他們若說：你與我們同去，我們要埋伏流人之血，要蹲伏害無罪之人； If they say, <<Come along with us; let's lie in wait for someone's blood, let's waylay some harmless soul;
^1:12 我們好像陰間，把他們活活吞下；他們如同下坑的人，被我們囫圇吞了； let's swallow them alive, like the grave, 1:12 Hebrew ((Sheol)) and whole, like those who go down to the pit;
^1:13 我們必得各樣寶物，將所擄來的，裝滿房屋； we will get all sorts of valuable things and fill our houses with plunder;
^1:14 你與我們大家同分，我們共用一個囊袋； throw in your lot with us, and we will share a common purse>>--
^1:15 我兒，不要與他們同行一道，禁止你腳走他們的路。 my son, do not go along with them, do not set foot on their paths;
^1:16 因為，他們的腳奔跑行惡；他們急速流人的血， for their feet rush into sin, they are swift to shed blood.
^1:17 好像飛鳥，網羅設在眼前仍不躲避。 How useless to spread a net in full view of all the birds!
^1:18 這些人埋伏，是為自流己血；蹲伏，是為自害己命。 These men lie in wait for their own blood; they waylay only themselves!
^1:19 凡貪戀財利的，所行之路都是如此；這貪戀之心乃奪去得財者之命。 Such is the end of all who go after ill-gotten gain; it takes away the lives of those who get it.
^1:20 智慧在街市上呼喊，在寬闊處發聲， Wisdom calls aloud in the street, she raises her voice in the public squares;
^1:21 在熱鬧街頭喊叫，在城門口，在城中發出言語， at the head of the noisy streets 1:21 Hebrew; Septuagint ((/ on the tops of the walls)) she cries out, in the gateways of the city she makes her speech:
^1:22 說：你們愚昧人喜愛愚昧，褻慢人喜歡褻慢，愚頑人恨惡知識，要到幾時呢？ <<How long will you simple ones 1:22 The Hebrew word rendered ((simple)) in Proverbs generally denotes one without moral direction and inclined to evil. love your simple ways? How long will mockers delight in mockery and fools hate knowledge?
^1:23 你們當因我的責備回轉；我要將我的靈澆灌你們，將我的話指示你們。 If you had responded to my rebuke, I would have poured out my heart to you and made my thoughts known to you.
^1:24 我呼喚，你們不肯聽從；我伸手，無人理會； But since you rejected me when I called and no one gave heed when I stretched out my hand,
^1:25 反輕棄我一切的勸戒，不肯受我的責備。 since you ignored all my advice and would not accept my rebuke,
^1:26 你們遭災難，我就發笑；驚恐臨到你們，我必嗤笑。 I in turn will laugh at your disaster; I will mock when calamity overtakes you--
^1:27 驚恐臨到你們，好像狂風；災難來到，如同暴風；急難痛苦臨到你們身上。 when calamity overtakes you like a storm, when disaster sweeps over you like a whirlwind, when distress and trouble overwhelm you.
^1:28 那時，你們必呼求我，我卻不答應，懇切地尋找我，卻尋不見。 <<Then they will call to me but I will not answer; they will look for me but will not find me.
^1:29 因為，你們恨惡知識，不喜愛敬畏耶和華， Since they hated knowledge and did not choose to fear the LORD,
^1:30 不聽我的勸戒，藐視我一切的責備， since they would not accept my advice and spurned my rebuke,
^1:31 所以必吃自結的果子，充滿自設的計謀。 they will eat the fruit of their ways and be filled with the fruit of their schemes.
^1:32 愚昧人背道，必殺己身；愚頑人安逸，必害己命。 For the waywardness of the simple will kill them, and the complacency of fools will destroy them;
^1:33 惟有聽從我的，必安然居住，得享安靜，不怕災禍。 but whoever listens to me will live in safety and be at ease, without fear of harm.>>

荒漠甘泉五合一

三月十八日「耶穌仍不回答。」馬可福音十五章5節聖經中頂希奇的一幕，就是創造天地的主，一聲不響地站在誹謗祂的人面前受冤枉。祂可以運用祂的能力向他們一看，或者向他們出一聲責備，就使他們倒在祂的腳前。但是祂不動聲色，任憑他們作惡妄為。祂站著是表顯神鎮靜的能力─—神無聲的羔羊！我們也當有這樣的鎮靜。這樣的鎮靜可以給神機會替我們工作，給我們平安；這樣的鎮靜就是停止自己的謀劃和活動，摒除自己的智慧和成見，讓神單獨去應付人們的攻擊。多少時候，我們失敗，就是因為沒有神的鎮靜。我們頂會用自己的智慧和力量來自衛，因此失去了神愛的力量，以致落入急躁慌亂。因為這正是神所賜下的緘默和自制力量。當塵世的擾攘過去之後，人們將懷念我們，好像我們懷念露珠，曙光和太陽，那晚風和各各他的羔羊，和那至善至尊至福的天堂。　　　　　　　　　　─宣信這一天，耶穌形單影隻，體驗到人人硬如鐵石，但知道祂之降臨人世，祂緘默為了救贖眾生。他們以假見證對祂譭謗，用繩索殘酷地把祂綑綁，譏嘲祂為猶太人的王；但耶穌緘默著，不作反抗。唾沫污辱了祂的臉，把耶穌拖東拖西任意磨折，使祂受盡了屈辱與輕蔑；但耶穌保持緘默。為了遠遜於此的輕微小事，你曾否發怒，自以為理直氣壯，小小的齟齬，當作了大侮辱？救世主卻保持緘默。　　　　　　　　　　─L.S.P. 在明尼蘇達州的威波主教，眾人都稱他為印第安人的使徒，我記得他曾說過這樣一句動人的話：「卅年來，當我與人齟齬不合的時候，我總是想法從對方的臉上見到基督的聖容。」假若我們亦被這種美德所感動，我們立刻化褊狹為謙容，不致有報復的衝動，而損傷了我們為主作見證人的立場，因為祂來到塵世，不是要毀滅生命，乃是要拯救他們。　　　　　　　　　　─湯瑪士

March 18 　"He answered nothing." (Mark 15:3.) 　ＴHERE is no spectacle in all the Bible so sublime as the silent Savior answering not a word to the men who were maligning Him, and whom He could have laid prostrate at His feet by one look of Divine power, or one word of fiery rebuke. But He let them say and do their worst, and He stood in THE POWER OF STILLNESS─Gold's holy silent Lamb. 　There is a stillness that lets God work for us, and holds our peace; the stillness that ceases from its contriving and its self-vindication, and its expedients of wisdom and forethought, and lets God provide and answer the cruel blow, in His own unfailing, faithful love. 　How often we lose God's interposition by taking up our own cause, and striking for our defense. God give to us this silent power, this conquered spirit! And after the heat and strife of earth are over, men will remember us as we remember the morning dew, the gentle light and sunshine, the evening breeze, the Lamb of Calvary, and the gentle, holy heavenly Dove. 　　　　　　　　　　─A. They witnessed falsely to His word, Ｔhey bound Him with a cruel cord, And mockingly proclaimed Him Lord; 　"But Jesus held His peace." They spat upon Him in the face, they dragged Him on from place to place, they heaped upon Him all disgrace; 　"But Jesus held His peace." P. 　I remember once hearing Bishop whipple, of Minnesota, so well known as "The Apostle of the Indians," utter these beautiful words: "For thirty years I have tried to see the face of Christ in those with whom I differed." When this spirit actuates us we shall be preserved at once from a narrow bigotry and an easy-going tolerance, from passionate vindictiveness and everything that would mar or injure our testimony for Him who came not to destroy men's lives, but to save them.　　　　　　　　　　　—W. ■ 永活之泉（03月18日）

三月十八日　為著神的僕人們代禱「……也為著我祈求。」以弗所書六章19節「……也為我們禱告。」歌羅西書四章3節「弟兄們，我還有話說，請你們為我們禱告。」帖撒羅尼迦後書三章1節以上保羅的這些話，說出了他信心的力量，必須是基督徒從神而來的能力，且他們的禱告確能使他在所行的事上重新得力。他深深地感覺到基督身體合一的實際，及聖徒彼此間的互賴；即使是那些願以生命供應整個身體的人，也是為了眾聖徒與他們自己，並神國度的緣故，尋求神，以激勵聖徒。他呼求他們：「繼續不斷的禱告、儆醒、感恩，同時也為我們祈求。」教會依賴職事到一個地步，非你我所能領會。一個事奉神的人在神面前的地位是很高的，他為神奧秘事的管家，也為神所差遣的一位使者，奉著主的名使人與神和好。他若不忠或懶散，定規會給他所服事的教會予以嚴重的破壞。如果一個靠著神的權能講過廿年道的保羅尚且需要教會為他禱告，何況我們呢？神的僕人需要百姓為他禱告。他不僅有權如此要求，事實上他有賴於他人的代求。他的職事就是訓練基督徒如何為了教會以及整個世界代禱。他必須訓練他們先為自己禱告，也許遠在這之前，他早已先為自己及他們禱告。願所有有心尋求能更深入有份於此蒙福代禱。工作的人，更多把自己擺在這個服事裡面，不論是為了他們所在的教會，或是其他的教會。願他們為著個別的靈魂或某一班特殊的人，向神呼籲，並願他們繼續禱告並儆醒，使所有事奉主的人，都成為有能力的人、禱告的人，並且是滿有聖靈的人。弟兄們，為著這個職事禱告！禱告：我們在天上的父，我們謙卑求您喚醒信徒，使他們的呼召，乃是在信心的靈魂裡，為福音職事禱告。阿們！

■ 中文屬天日子（03月18日）

三月十八日　力求聖潔「敬畏神，得以成聖。」哥林多後書七章1節「既有這等應許」，我當使祂的應許實現，不錯，但是這是人的一方面；至於神的方面，便是藉著應許，承認神對於我的要求。例如我是感覺我的身體是聖靈的殿嗎？或是我的身體有種習慣，受不住神之光的照射嗎？因著成聖，神的兒子形成在我的裡面；那麼我應當改變我自然的生命，成為服從祂的靈的生命。神要把我們教育到極精微的地步。所以祂糾正的時候不要與肉體妥協，只要潔淨自己，日日不斷的潔淨自己。我要「除去身體靈魂一切的污穢」，直到與神的本性無異，我的心靈已與神的兒子在我裡面的生命有絕對的和諧呢？抑或我在智力上不服從祂呢？我正在創造基督的心麼？因為祂從不用自己的權柄向自己說話，卻保持內心的儆醒，常將自己的靈魂去服從祂的父。所以我們的責任也是使我的靈，去與祂的靈趨於一致，那麼耶穌便逐漸把我提高到祂生活的地步──完全依從祂父的旨意，不注意別的事。因敬畏神，我完成了這種聖潔的形式麼？神使我依從祂的方法，叫人多多的看見我生命中有神麼？用莊重來對付生命，將其餘的事拋開，絕對將神放在最前面吧！

三月十八日「禍患必不臨到你……」詩篇九十一篇10節我們瞭解防火或防水的意思，但是能夠防罪那就更勝一級了。若是我們充滿了耶穌的靈，撒但的箭將無法射透我們屬天的軍裝。如果我們時刻有耶穌的同在，那麼所有生長在路邊上的荊薊和野棘將難以刺入我們屬天的袍子。因為聖靈能使一切從地獄來的有毒氣體消失，使我們即使行過死蔭的幽谷，仍然能很歡喜地生活著。燒紅的鐵能使水無法接近，使人的手指不敢接觸。所以假使我們為聖靈的火所點燃，撒但不僅無法傷害我們，而且就會像水在燒紅的鐵上一樣很快地滑溜不見。約翰曾說：「我們知道凡從神生的必不犯罪，從神生的必保守自己，那惡者也就無法害他。」(約壹五18)正是這個道理。所以我們天天都得汲取、充滿基督的生命，好讓惡者沒有空隙侵入。
