箴言, 1章

1:1 以色列王大衛兒子所羅門的箴言: The proverbs of Solomon son of David, king of Israel:
1:2 要使人曉得智慧和訓誨,分辨通達的言語, for attaining wisdom and discipline; for understanding words of insight;
1:3 使人處事領受智慧、仁義、公平、正直的訓誨, for acquiring a disciplined and prudent life, doing what is right and just and fair;
1:4 使愚人靈明,使少年人有知識和謀略, for giving prudence to the simple, knowledge and discretion to the young--
1:5 使智慧人聽見,增長學問,使聰明人得著智謀, let the wise listen and add to their learning, and let the discerning get guidance--
1:6 使人明白箴言和譬喻,懂得智慧人的言詞和謎語。 for understanding proverbs and parables, the sayings and riddles of the wise.
1:7 敬畏耶和華是知識的開端;愚妄人藐視智慧和訓誨。 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools 1:7 The Hebrew words rendered ((fool)) in Proverbs, and often elsewhere in the Old Testament, denote one who is morally deficient. despise wisdom and discipline.
1:8 我兒,要聽你父親的訓誨,不可離棄你母親的法則〔或譯:指教〕; Listen, my son, to your father's instruction and do not forsake your mother's teaching.
1:9 因為這要作你頭上的華冠,你項上的金鍊。 They will be a garland to grace your head and a chain to adorn your neck.
1:10 我兒,惡人若引誘你,你不可隨從。 My son, if sinners entice you, do not give in to them.
1:11 他們若說:你與我們同去,我們要埋伏流人之血,要蹲伏害無罪之人; If they say, <<Come along with us; let's lie in wait for someone's blood, let's waylay some harmless soul;
1:12 我們好像陰間,把他們活活吞下;他們如同下坑的人,被我們囫圇吞了; let's swallow them alive, like the grave, 1:12 Hebrew ((Sheol)) and whole, like those who go down to the pit;
1:13 我們必得各樣寶物,將所擄來的,裝滿房屋; we will get all sorts of valuable things and fill our houses with plunder;
1:14 你與我們大家同分,我們共用一個囊袋; throw in your lot with us, and we will share a common purse>>--
1:15 我兒,不要與他們同行一道,禁止你腳走他們的路。 my son, do not go along with them, do not set foot on their paths;
1:16 因為,他們的腳奔跑行惡;他們急速流人的血, for their feet rush into sin, they are swift to shed blood.
1:17 好像飛鳥,網羅設在眼前仍不躲避。 How useless to spread a net in full view of all the birds!
1:18 這些人埋伏,是為自流己血;蹲伏,是為自害己命。 These men lie in wait for their own blood; they waylay only themselves!
1:19 凡貪戀財利的,所行之路都是如此;這貪戀之心乃奪去得財者之命。 Such is the end of all who go after ill-gotten gain; it takes away the lives of those who get it.
1:20 智慧在街市上呼喊,在寬闊處發聲, Wisdom calls aloud in the street, she raises her voice in the public squares;
1:21 在熱鬧街頭喊叫,在城門口,在城中發出言語, at the head of the noisy streets 1:21 Hebrew; Septuagint ((/ on the tops of the walls)) she cries out, in the gateways of the city she makes her speech:
1:22 說:你們愚昧人喜愛愚昧,褻慢人喜歡褻慢,愚頑人恨惡知識,要到幾時呢? <<How long will you simple ones 1:22 The Hebrew word rendered ((simple)) in Proverbs generally denotes one without moral direction and inclined to evil. love your simple ways? How long will mockers delight in mockery and fools hate knowledge?
1:23 你們當因我的責備回轉;我要將我的靈澆灌你們,將我的話指示你們。 If you had responded to my rebuke, I would have poured out my heart to you and made my thoughts known to you.
1:24 我呼喚,你們不肯聽從;我伸手,無人理會; But since you rejected me when I called and no one gave heed when I stretched out my hand,
1:25 反輕棄我一切的勸戒,不肯受我的責備。 since you ignored all my advice and would not accept my rebuke,
1:26 你們遭災難,我就發笑;驚恐臨到你們,我必嗤笑。 I in turn will laugh at your disaster; I will mock when calamity overtakes you--
1:27 驚恐臨到你們,好像狂風;災難來到,如同暴風;急難痛苦臨到你們身上。 when calamity overtakes you like a storm, when disaster sweeps over you like a whirlwind, when distress and trouble overwhelm you.
1:28 那時,你們必呼求我,我卻不答應,懇切地尋找我,卻尋不見。 <<Then they will call to me but I will not answer; they will look for me but will not find me.
1:29 因為,你們恨惡知識,不喜愛敬畏耶和華, Since they hated knowledge and did not choose to fear the LORD,
1:30 不聽我的勸戒,藐視我一切的責備, since they would not accept my advice and spurned my rebuke,
1:31 所以必吃自結的果子,充滿自設的計謀。 they will eat the fruit of their ways and be filled with the fruit of their schemes.
1:32 愚昧人背道,必殺己身;愚頑人安逸,必害己命。 For the waywardness of the simple will kill them, and the complacency of fools will destroy them;
1:33 惟有聽從我的,必安然居住,得享安靜,不怕災禍。 but whoever listens to me will live in safety and be at ease, without fear of harm.>>

■ 中文荒漠甘泉(03月30日)
三月卅日 「凡你們點火用火把圍繞自己的,可以行在你們的火焰裏,並你們所點的火把中。這是我手所定的;你們必躺在悲慘之中。」以賽亞書五十章11節 這是一個嚴重的警告,對付那行在黑暗中而想設法自救的人們的。神說他們好像自己點火,用火把圍繞自己。這是甚麼意思呢? 這意思說:當我們在黑暗中遭遇試煉的時候,我們總想自謀出路,不肯信神靠神。我們本該讓祂施行拯救,可是我們頂喜歡自己籌畫。我們尋求理由的結論,親友的勸告。結果,就會採納一個不出於神的方法。這些都是我們自己點的火焰和火把,凡匆促的引導,必定會把我們導入錯誤的歧途,若向這種光亮前進,結果卻是悲慘。 所以,親愛的,不要想用自己的謀算逃出黑暗,我們該等候神的時間和神的方法。受試煉是學習我們所需的功課。 不成熟的拯救會阻撓神在我們身上的工作。我們應該把一切的難處交給神。只要有祂的同在,就該甘心等在黑暗中。請記得在黑暗中與神同行,強如在光明中單獨行走。─譯自微小的聲音 我們不該干預神的計畫和旨意。甚麼時候我們摸一摸祂的事情,我們立刻會弄壞祂的工作。我們儘可以把鐘撥到我們所要的時間,但是我們不能改變實在的時間;我們儘可以擘開玫瑰的花蕾,可是我們擘壞了那花。照樣,我們儘可以自己謀算來躲避神所要我們經過的遭遇,但是於事無補。所以我們該將一切完全交給祂。讓我們住手罷。讓我們對神說:「只要照你的旨意,不要照我的旨意。」           ─麥力德   祂的道路 出林裏寒冷陰冥,  我想停步, 神卻要我前行, 我不明白為了什麼原因,  忽在意欲停步的地方, 傳出岩石崩塌的巨聲。 我要前進, 神吩咐我停止,  我說:「遵照您的意旨」。 一大清晨有人發現,  在我要去的路上, 躺著斫死的毒蟒。 我或許不明究竟,  但我不再計問, 什麼緣故, 祂指點我的路徑, 我就走去,  我雖無知, 卻有數, 總為我…選擇全安道路。
■ 英文荒漠甘泉(03月30日)
March 30  "Behold, all ye that kindle a fire, that compass yourselves about with sparks: walk in the light of your fire, and in the sparks that ye have kindled. This shall ye have of mine hand; ye shall lie down in sorrow."(Isa. 50:11.)  WHAT a solemn warning to those who walks in darkness and yet who try to help themselves out into the light. They are represented as kindling a fire, and compassing themselves with sparks. What does this mean?  Why, it means that when we are in darkness the temptation is to find a way without trusting in the Lord and relying upon Him. Instead of letting Him help us out, we try to help ourselves out. We seek the light of nature, and get the advice of our friends. We try the conclusions of our reason, and might almost be tempted to accept a way of deliverance which would not be of God at all.  All these are fires of our own kindling; rushlights that will surely lead us onto the shoals. And God will let us walk in he light of those sparks, but the end will be sorrow.  Beloved, do not try to get out of a dark place, except in God's time and in God's way. The time of trouble is meant to teach you lessons that you sorely need.  Premature deliverance may frustrate God's work of grace in your life. Just commit the whole situation to Him. Be willing to abide in darkness so long as you have His presence. Remember that it is better to walk in the dark with God than to walk alone in the light.           ─The Still small Voice.  Cease meddling with God's plans and will. You touch anything of His, and you mar the work. You may move the hands of a clock to suit you, but you do not change the time; so you may hurry the unfolding of God's will, but you harm and do not help the work. You can open a rosebud but you spoil the flower. Leave all to Him. Hands down. Thy will, not mine.           ─Stephen Merritt.         HIS WAY God bade me go when I would stay  ('Twas cool within the wood); I did not know the reason why. I heard a boulder crashing by  Across the path where I stood. He bade me stay when I would go;  "Thy will be done," I said. They found one day at early dawn, Across the way I would have gone,  A serpent with a mangled head. ■ 永活之泉(03月30日)
三月卅日 君尊榮司的職分 「你求告我,我就應允你,並將你所不知道,又大又難的事指示你。」耶利米書卅三章3節 當你向神祈求新約中更大的恩惠時,需具有以下四種思想: (一)神極其願意祝福人。祂的本性就是一個保證。祂樂於施憐憫,也等待施恩。祂的應許及聖徒的經歷也向我們證實這件事。 (二)那麼,為甚麼遲遲不祝福?當神照著祂自己的旨意造人,使人成為神的同伴,管理這地時,神限制了祂自己。祂使自己被人的作為所限制。而人又可以藉著祈求而使神不得不祝福。 (三)試想,神因著祂兒女不祈求或禱告太少是何等受阻、憂傷。教會光景下沉,生命顯得很弱,缺少使罪人悔改及教會成聖的聖靈大能,這一切都由於禱告的欠缺。但若神的兒女不止息地向神呼籲,教會的光景及外邦人的情形將是何等不同! (四)然而神仍然賜福,完全在於祂百姓的信心與熱心的程度。這並不是說人就可以滿足於此,以為神已祝福;而毋寧說:如果像我們這樣微弱的禱告,神尚且施恩,那麼我們若將全人投入代禱中,神將更施何等的恩呢! (五)我們當如何向神懊悔認罪,因著我們奉獻的不夠使神對世界的施恩受到攔阻!祂時刻等待施拯救,只是我們不願全心全意奉獻給主、服事祂。 神的兒女們哪!神指望你們在祂寶座前作代禱者。我求你們能醒悟過來,知道你們蒙神聖召乃是要作君尊的祭司。巴望你們重新有一個新的生活,真知道你們的代禱正如主耶穌在高天之上為我們代求一樣,乃是人類所指望的一種最高特權。帶著這樣的靈,在指望中抓住神的話:「你求告我,我就應允你,並將你所不知道,又大又難的事指示你。」 凡是讀到這裡的人,還能說不願意也不希望答應神這個蒙福的呼召——在主耶穌基督的大能裡,為著神對教會的施恩,為著這將滅亡的世界,把代禱當成生活唯一的目標嗎?難道這個要求太過嗎?為著那為我們捨命的主,我們獻身於此神聖的祭司職分,一生服事祂,會覺得太多嗎?
■ 中文屬天日子(03月30日)
三月卅日 是崇拜呢?還是要挾呢? 「祂見無人代求,甚為詫異。」以賽亞書五九章16節 我們中有許多人,其所向神剛硬而不禱告的緣故,是因為我們在禱告方面,只有一種表面的情感和興趣。有人以為禱告,是體面的事,並且瀏覽指導禱告的書籍,以為禱告的時候我們的心可以安靜,我們的靈可以超昇;但是以賽亞謂神對於這種禱告,有詫異之感。 崇拜和代求是分不開的,沒有代求便不能有崇拜了。代求的意思,是激動我們自己得到基督的心,替人祈禱。我們太注意祈禱的措詞,而忽略了敬拜神的事實。我們是敬拜神,或是與神辯論呢?──「我不知道您是怎樣能如此做的。」這是我們不敬拜神的明證。當我們離開神的時候,我們便硬心,便武斷起來。我們將請求拋到神的寶座前,強迫祂替我們做所想望的事。我們不敬拜神,也不追求基督的旨意。如果我們對於神硬心,對於人也必硬心。 我們是激動自己去握住神,與祂心心相印,替別人禱告麼?是以這種方式去敬拜神麼?我們生活是與神有聖潔的關係呢?抑或是硬著心武斷起來呢? 「但是沒有一種正式的代求人」──你就做個正式的代求人吧!你就做個崇拜神,生活在祂聖潔關係中的人吧!努力代求的真實工作,不但是一種工作,而且是運用全力的工作,沒有陷阱的工作。傳福音也許有陷阱;代求的工作是絕然沒有的。

三月三十日 「……我願你凡事興盛,身體健壯,正如你的靈魂興盛一樣。」約翰三書2節 箴言十二章28節說:「在公義的道上有生命,其路之中,並無死亡。」這正是得到醫治的秘訣。與神和好,以祂為中心地活著,那麼你就可以免得任何傷害。當惡魔的箭碰到公義的盾牌時,箭會立刻落地,也因此信心在每一次強烈的攻擊之後,會變得更堅強。彼得前書三章13節所說:「你們若是熱心行善,有誰害你們呢?」是何等真實啊!提摩太前書一章19節說:「常存信心和無虧的良心,有人丟棄良心,就在真道上如同船破壞了一般。」也是真言。 出埃及記十五章26節則說:「……你若留意聽耶和華你神的話,又行我眼中看為正的事,留心聽我的誡命,守我一切的律例,我就不能將所加與埃及人的疾病加在你身上,因為我耶和華是醫治你的。」所以讓我們行神眼中看為正的事。 有一個問題是神逢人就問的, 祂要我們自省, 看看我們是否與神完全和好。
