1:1 俄巴底亞得了耶和華的默示。論以東說：我從耶和華那裏聽見信息，並有使者被差往列國去，說：起來吧，一同起來與以東爭戰！ The vision of Obadiah.This is what the Sovereign LORD says about Edom-- We have heard a message from the LORD: An envoy was sent to the nations to say, <<Rise, and let us go against her for battle>>--
1:2 我使你─以東在列國中為最小的，被人大大藐視。 <<See, I will make you small among the nations; you will be utterly despised. 1:3 住在山穴中、居所在高處的啊，你因狂傲自欺，心裏說：誰能將我拉下地去呢？ The pride of your heart has deceived you, you who live in the clefts of the rocks :3 Or ((of Sela)) and make your home on the heights, you who say to yourself, <Who can bring me down to the ground?> 1:4 你雖如大鷹高飛，在星宿之間搭窩，我必從那裏拉下你來。這是耶和華說的。 Though you soar like the eagle and make your nest among the stars, from there I will bring you down,>> r declares the LORD. 1:5 盜賊若來在你那裏，或強盜夜間而來─你何竟被剪除─豈不偷竊直到夠了呢？摘葡萄的若來到你那裏，豈不剩下些葡萄呢？ <<If thieves came to you, if robbers in the night-- Oh, what a disaster awaits you-- would they not steal only as much as they wanted? If grape pickers came to you, would they not leave a few grapes? 1:6 以掃的隱密處何竟被搜尋？他隱藏的寶物何竟被查出？ But how Esau will be ransacked, his hidden treasures pillaged! 1:7 與你結盟的都送你上路，直到交界；與你和好的欺騙你，且勝過你；與你一同吃飯的設下網羅陷害你；在你心裏毫無聰明。 All your allies will force you to the border; your friends will deceive and overpower you; those who eat your bread will set a trap for you, :7 The meaning of the Hebrew for this clause is uncertain. but you will not detect it. 1:8 耶和華說：到那日，我豈不從以東除滅智慧人？從以掃山除滅聰明人？ <<In that day,>> declares the LORD, <<will I not destroy the wise men of Edom, men of understanding in the mountains of Esau? 1:9 提幔哪，你的勇士必驚惶，甚至以掃山的人都被殺戮剪除。 Your warriors, O Teman, will be terrified, and everyone in Esau's mountains will be cut down in the slaughter. 1:10 因你向兄弟雅各行強暴，羞愧必遮蓋你，你也必永遠斷絕。 Because of the violence against your brother Jacob, you will be covered with shame; you will be destroyed forever. 1:11 當外人擄掠雅各的財物，外邦人進入他的城門，為耶路撒冷拈鬮的日子，你竟站在一旁，像與他們同夥。 On the day you stood aloof while strangers carried off his wealth and foreigners entered his gates and cast lots for Jerusalem, you were like one of them. 1:12 你兄弟遭難的日子，你不當瞪眼看著；猶大人被滅的日子，你不當因此歡樂；他們遭難的日子，你不當說狂傲的話。 You should not look down on your brother in the day of his misfortune, nor rejoice over the people of Judah in the day of their destruction, nor boast so much in the day of their trouble. 1:13 我民遭災的日子，你不當進他們的城門；他們遭災的日子，你不當瞪眼看著他們受苦；他們遭災的日子，你不當伸手搶他們的財物； You should not march through the gates of my people in the day of their disaster, nor look down on them in their calamity in the day of their disaster, nor seize their wealth in the day of their disaster. 1:14 你不當站在岔路口剪除他們中間逃脫的；他們遭難的日子，你不當將他們剩下的人交付仇敵。 You should not wait at the crossroads to cut down their fugitives, nor hand over their survivors in the day of their trouble. 1:15 耶和華降罰的日子臨近萬國。你怎樣行，他也必照樣向你行；你的報應必歸到你頭上。 <<The day of the LORD is near for all nations. As you have done, it will be done to you; your deeds will return upon your own head. 1:16 你們猶大人在我聖山怎樣喝了苦杯，萬國也必照樣常常地喝；且喝且咽，他們就歸於無有。 Just as you drank on my holy hill, so all the nations will drink continually; they will drink and drink and be as if they had never been. 1:17 在錫安山必有逃脫的人，那山也必成聖；雅各家必得原有的產業。 But on Mount Zion will be deliverance; it will be holy, and the house of Jacob will possess its inheritance. 1:18 雅各家必成為大火；約瑟家必為火焰；以掃家必如碎秸；火必將他燒著吞滅。以掃家必無餘剩的。這是耶和華說的。 The house of Jacob will be a fire and the house of Joseph a flame; the house of Esau will be stubble, and they will set it on fire and consume it. 三月十五日 「你這蟲雅各……不要害怕……我要使你成為有快齒打糧的新器具。」以賽亞書四一章14、15節（直譯） 蟲與快齒的器具怎樣可以相比呢？蟲是多麼軟弱，給我們石頭或車輪一壓，就會壓得稀爛；快齒的器具是多麼堅強；甚至能「把山嶺打得粉碎，使岡陵如同糠秕。」（賽四一15）但是全能的神能使蟲成為有快齒的器具。神能使個人或民族，藉著祂的靈，從蟲的軟弱到快齒器具的剛強，在歷史上留著很深的痕跡。 所以我們這些蟲不要喪膽。全能的神能使我們在四圍患難的環境中變成剛強。靠著祂的力量，我們能叫我們的環境向我們屈服，向我們進貢。我們甚至能隨便抓住一個黑色的失望，把牠劈開來，從其中抽出恩典的寶石來。神也能給我們像鐵那般的意志，所有的難處都能迎刃而解，猶如堅土遇到鐵犁那樣鬆散。神既說：「我要使你……」祂豈會不如此行呢？ ─喬懷德 基督建造祂的國度，都是用地上破碎的東西建造的。人們所要的是強健的、成功的、勝利的、不碎的；但是神所要的乃是在地上不成功的、失敗的、傷心的、軟弱的。天上充滿著地上破碎的生命，沒有一根壓傷的蘆葦是基督所不能恢復的。祂能使一個被痛苦、憂愁所壓傷的生命，變成一架彈出讚美的音樂來的古琴。祂能把地上的失敗變成天上的榮耀。 ─密勒 跟從我，我要範鑄你們， 有力地傳佈我的福音， 成為流出慈恩的溝洫， 使你們成為有用之人。 跟從我， 我要範鑄你們， 脫胎換骨， 重新做人， 有信， 有愛， 忠實虔誠， 不愧為神的子民。

March 15 "Fear not, thou worm Jacob....I will make thee a threshing instrument with teeth." (Isa. 41:14, 15.) ＣOULD any two things be in greater contrast than a worm and an instrument with teeth? The worm is delicate, bruised by a stone, crushed beneath the passing wheel; an instrument with teeth can break and not be broken; it can grave its mark upon the rock. And the mighty God can convert the one into the other. He can take a man or a nation, who has all the impotence of the worm, and by the invigoration of His own Spirit, He can endow with strength by which a noble mark is left upon the history of the time. And so the "worm" may take heart. The mighty God can make us stronger than our circumstances. He can bend them all to our good. In God's strengthwe can make them all pay tribute to our souls. We can even take hold of a black disappointment, break it open, and extract some jewel of grace. When God gives us wills like iron, we can drive through difficulties as the iron share cuts through the toughest soil. "I will make thee," and shall He not do it? ─Dr. Jowett. Christ is building His kingdom with earth's broken things. Men want only the strong, the successful, the victorious, the unbroken, in building their kingdoms; but God is the God of the unsuccessful, of those who have failed. Heaven is filling with earth's broken lives, and there is no bruised reed that Christ cannot take and restore to glorious blessedness and beauty. He can take the life crushed by pain or sorrow and make it into a harp whose music shall be all praise. he can lift earth's saddest failure up to heaven's glory. ─J. R. Miller. 三月十五日 保羅為代禱者 「我在父面前屈膝，……藉著祂的靈，叫你們心裡的力量剛強起來。」以弗所書三章14—16節 我們每逢想到保羅，就說他是偉大的傳道人、佈道家、大作家，及「格外勞苦」的大使徒；然而，我們卻不夠認識他是一位代禱者。他藉著祈求、尋求，並得著生活的能力，且能為他所服事的教會代求，帶下祝福。 我們看他上面寫給以弗所人的話，再想想他寫給帖撒羅尼迦人的話：「我們晝夜切切地祈求，以……補滿你們信心的不足；好使你們……心裡堅固，成為聖潔，無可責備。」（帖三10—13）在他寫給羅馬人書中說：「我怎樣不住的題到你們，在禱告之間。」（羅一9）寫給腓立比人書中說：「每逢為你們眾人祈求的時候，常是歡歡喜喜的祈求。」還有他寫給歌羅西人說：「我們為你們不住的禱告、祈求……」「我願意你們曉得，我為你們是何等盡心竭力。」（西一9；二1）保羅晝夜在神面前為他們呼籲，求聖靈的光與能力進入他們心內。他深信他的代求是大有功效的，照樣地，他也相信他們的代求會帶給他祝福。「我勸你們與我一同竭力，為我祈求神。」（羅十五30）「神現在仍要救我們……你們以祈禱幫助我們。」（林後一10—11）「也為我祈求，使我能放膽開口……」（弗六18—19；西四3；帖後三1）「藉著你們的禱告，終必叫我得救。」（腓一19） 神的僕人與百姓間的關係，完全基於同心合意恆切地禱告。他們之間的關係完全是屬天的、屬靈的、神聖的，只有靠恆切的禱告來維持。唯有當神的僕人與百姓能醒悟過來，知道聖靈的權能與祝福有賴於他們同心合意恆切的禱告時，教會才能真實地明白，甚麼是五旬節使徒時期的教會。 禱告： 永遠可稱頌的父啊，我們俯伏懇求您施恩，恢復教會懇求與代禱的靈——奉主的名。阿們。
■ 中文屬天日子（03月15日）
三月十五日 膽怯的訓練 「跟從的人也害怕。」馬可福音十章32節 先時，我們雖然知道一些關於耶穌基督的事，樂於變賣一切所有，出於愛的去撇棄自己；但是現在卻有些恍惚。耶穌在前面，看來有些異樣。「耶穌在前頭走，門徒就希奇。」 耶穌的態度使門徒心冷，使全部靈性生活喘息不寧。祂的面容帶著鐵石的表情；而祂勇往直前的決心，尤令我感覺恐怖。祂不是導師，也不是同志；祂別有見解，我絕然不知道，徒增我的感慨與驚訝。先時我自信瞭解了祂，但是現在卻有不少的疑慮。我開始感覺耶穌基督和我之間有了阻隔，不像先前那麼熟識。祂在我前頭走，也不回頭；不知道往那裡去，祂奔赴的目標更是遙遠難知。 耶穌要探知人類所能經驗的一切罪惡與憂愁，那就是祂奇特的所在。當我們看見祂在這種情形中，不認知祂，也未瞭解祂生命的特點，更不知怎樣的追隨祂。祂在前面，像是一位奇特的領袖，與我們沒有同志的關係。 膽怯的訓練，在作門徒的訓練中，有根本的必要。最危險的是轉身依靠我們自己的小火（參賽五十10─11）。當喪膽的黑暗臨到時，耐心等待其過去，因為經過以後，我們就會覺 得追隨耶穌，有說不出的快樂。

三月十五日 「……你們要常在我的愛裡。」約翰福音十五章9節 我們能生活在很多不同的氣氛之下，有些人終日若有所思，他們的臉像個哲學家，他們也很有智慧。這些人生活在自己的感覺當中；他們對真理有主見、更有欣賞能力和審美觀念。有些人則活得像禽獸，他們生活在肉慾、眼睛的情慾之中；他們處在粗俗、下流、感官享受的氣氛之下。還有些人則生活在盡責任的壓力下，終日受良心斥責，使他們總是在恐懼的陰影之下，剝奪他們生命中的自由和生活裡的樂趣。不可否認的，這最後一種人的目的仍是誠實、正直、嚴謹的，他們的行為既不可忽視更不容置疑。 然而主基督要我們生活在愛的氣氛中。祂曾說：我愛你們，正如父愛我一樣，你們也要常在我的愛裡。在原文的版本中，祂的意思是要我們住或是生活在祂的愛裡。換言之，祂要我們永遠地活在祂的愛中，相信祂會一直愛我們，並且捉住祂的應許、享受祂的關心。這才真正是愛的生活。
