1:1 俄巴底亞得了耶和華的默示。論以東說:我從耶和華那裏聽見信息,並有使者被差往列國去,說:起來吧,一同起來與以東爭戰! The vision of Obadiah.This is what the Sovereign LORD says about Edom-- We have heard a message from the LORD: An envoy was sent to the nations to say, <<Rise, and let us go against her for battle>>--
1:2 我使你─以東在列國中為最小的,被人大大藐視。 <<See, I will make you small among the nations; you will be utterly despised. 1:3 住在山穴中、居所在高處的啊,你因狂傲自欺,心裏說:誰能將我拉下地去呢? The pride of your heart has deceived you, you who live in the clefts of the rocks :3 Or ((of Sela)) and make your home on the heights, you who say to yourself, <Who can bring me down to the ground?> 1:4 你雖如大鷹高飛,在星宿之間搭窩,我必從那裏拉下你來。這是耶和華說的。 Though you soar like the eagle and make your nest among the stars, from there I will bring you down,>> r declares the LORD. 1:5 盜賊若來在你那裏,或強盜夜間而來─你何竟被剪除─豈不偷竊直到夠了呢?摘葡萄的若來到你那裏,豈不剩下些葡萄呢? <<If thieves came to you, if robbers in the night-- Oh, what a disaster awaits you-- would they not steal only as much as they wanted? But how Esau will be ransacked, his hidden treasures pillaged! 1:7 與你結盟的都送你上路,直到交界;與你和好的欺騙你,且勝過你;與你一同吃飯的設下網羅陷害你;在你心裏毫無聰明。 All your allies will force you to the border; your friends will deceive and overpower you; those who eat your bread will set a trap for you, :7 The meaning of the Hebrew for this clause is uncertain. but you will not detect it. 1:8 耶和華說:到那日,我豈不從以東除滅智慧人?從以掃山除滅聰明人? <<In that day,>> declares the LORD, <<will I not destroy the wise men of Edom, men of understanding in the mountains of Esau? 1:9 提幔哪,你的勇士必驚惶,甚至以掃山的人都被殺戮剪除。 Your warriors, O Teman, will be terrified, and everyone in Esau's mountains will be cut down in the slaughter. 1:10 因你向兄弟雅各行強暴,羞愧必遮蓋你,你也必永遠斷絕。 Because of the violence against your brother Jacob, you will be covered with shame; you will be destroyed forever. 1:11 當外人擄掠雅各的財物,外邦人進入他的城門,為耶路撒冷拈鬮的日子,你竟站在一旁,像與他們同夥。 On the day you stood aloof while strangers carried off his wealth and foreigners entered his gates and cast lots for Jerusalem, you were like one of them. 1:12 你兄弟遭難的日子,你不當瞪眼看著;猶大人被滅的日子,你不當因此歡樂;他們遭難的日子,你不當說狂傲的話。 You should not look down on your brother in the day of his misfortune, nor rejoice over the people of Judah in the day of their destruction, nor boast so much in the day of their trouble. 1:13 我民遭災的日子,你不當進他們的城門;他們遭災的日子,你不當瞪眼看著他們受苦;他們遭災的日子,你不當伸手搶他們的財物; You should not march through the gates of my people in the day of their disaster, nor look down on them in their calamity in the day of their disaster, nor seize their wealth in the day of their disaster. 1:14 你不當站在岔路口剪除他們中間逃脫的;他們遭難的日子,你不當將他們剩下的人交付仇敵。 You should not wait at the crossroads to cut down their fugitives, nor hand over their survivors in the day of their trouble. 1:15 耶和華降罰的日子臨近萬國。你怎樣行,他也必照樣向你行;你的報應必歸到你頭上。 <<The day of the LORD is near for all nations. As you have done, it will be done to you; your deeds will return upon your own head. 1:16 你們猶大人在我聖山怎樣喝了苦杯,萬國也必照樣常常地喝;且喝且咽,他們就歸於無有。 Just as you drank on my holy hill, so all the nations will drink continually; they will drink and drink and be as if they had never been. 1:17 在錫安山必有逃脫的人,那山也必成聖;雅各家必得原有的產業。 But on Mount Zion will be deliverance; it will be holy, and the house of Jacob will possess its inheritance. 1:18 雅各家必成為大火;約瑟家必為火焰;以掃家必如碎秸;火必將他燒著吞滅。以掃家必無餘剩的。這是耶和華說的。 The house of Jacob will be a fire and the house of Joseph a flame; the house of Esau will be stubble, and they will set it on fire and consume it. There will be no survivors from the house of Esau.>> r The LORD has spoken. 1:19 南地的人必得以掃山;高原的人必得非利士地,也得以法蓮地和撒馬利亞地;便雅憫人必得基列。 People from the Negev will occupy the mountains of Esau, and people from the foothills will possess the land of the Philistines. They will occupy the fields of Ephraim and Samaria, and Benjamin will possess Gilead. 1:20 在迦南人中被擄的以色列眾人必得地直到撒勒法;在西法拉中被擄的耶路撒冷人必得南地的城邑。 This company of Israelite exiles who are in Canaan will possess (((the land))) as far as Zarephath; the exiles from Jerusalem who are in Sepharad will possess the towns of the Negev. 1:21 必有拯救者上到錫安山,審判以掃山;國度就歸耶和華了。 Deliverers will go up on :21 Or ((from)) Mount Zion to govern the mountains of Esau. And the kingdom will be the LORD's. 四月十二日 「耶穌被聖靈充滿,從約旦河回來,聖靈將祂引到曠野,四十天受魔鬼的試探。」路加福音四章1、2節 耶穌被聖靈充滿,但是也被魔鬼試探。試探常帶著它全副力量去尋找一個最近神的人。有人說:「魔鬼有大志」,這句話實在不錯。牠曾抓住一個使徒,叫他說他不認得主。 馬丁路德(Martin Luther)所受的撒但的攻擊比任何人更多。因為馬丁路德把地獄搖了幾搖。約翰本仁(John Bunyan)也如此。 越被聖靈充滿的人,越多受到撒但的攻擊。神許可試探臨到我們,因為試探能叫我們得到益處。正如暴風使橡樹紮根更深,烈火使磁上的油彩更為耐久。 你從來不知道主怎樣護庇你,用手抓住你;直到撒但盡力引誘你離開主的時候,你纔會覺得主全能的手緊緊牽著你。 ─選 特別的苦難不一定是特別的罪惡的刑罰。有時候反是特別的祝福。神有許多銳利的器具,是用以琢磨祂心愛的寶石的;凡是祂所特別心愛的,祂就常常加以琢磨。 ─雷登 我今天願意在這裏作一個見證:我一生的轉變,全靠我主工廠裏的烈火,釘鎚,銼刀,棒杖。 ─司布真

April 12 "And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, being forty days tempted of the devil."(Luke 4:1, 2.) JESUS was full of the Holy Ghost, and yet He was tempted. Temptation often comes upon a man with its strongest power when he is nearest to God. As someone has said, "The devil aims high." He got one apostle to say he did not even know Christ. Very few men have such conflicts with the devil as Martin Luther had. Why? Because Martin Luther was going to shake the very kingdom of hell. Oh, what conflicts John Bunyan had! If a man has much of the Spirit of God, he will have great conflicts with the tempter. God permits tempatation because it does for us what the storms do for the oaks─it roots us; and what the fire does for the paintings on the porcelain─it makes them permanent. You never know that you have a grip on Christ, or that He has a grip on you, as well as when the devil is using all his force to attract you from Him; then you feel the pull of Christ's right hand. ─Selected. Extraordinary afflictions are not always the punishment of extraordinary sins, but sometimes the trial of extraordinary graces. God hath many sharp-cutting instruments, and rough files for the polishing of His jewels; and those He especially loves, and means to make the most resplendent, He hath oftenest His tools upon. ─Archbishop Leighton. I bear my willing witness that I owe more to the fire, and the hammer, and the file, than to anything else in my Lord's workshop. ■ 永活之泉(04月12日)
四月十二日 在我們裏面基督的生命 「因為我活著,你們也要活著。」約翰福音十四章19節 前三本福音書裏的教訓和約翰福音有極大的不同。約翰乃是耶穌胸懷中的朋友。他比其他門徒們更能懂得主的心意,並且他所記的基督的教訓,是別的門徒們有很多所未曾提到的。這就使約翰十三至十七章成了新約中最裏面的聖所。其他門徒們說到悔改和罪得赦免,這乃是新約第一個偉大的恩典;但是他們很少論到新約所帶我們的新生命,以及要把律法放在我們的新心裏,成為一個活的能力。約翰所記載的乃是:基督告訴我們,祂自己的生命要實實在在的成為我們的生命;並且我們要與祂聯合,正如祂與父聯合一樣。其他的福音書說到基督是牧者,來尋找拯救失喪的人;約翰則說到祂是牧者,祂為羊捨命,使祂自己的生命成他們的生命。「我來了,是要叫羊得生命,並且得的更豐盛。」(約十10) 所以基督在這裏說:「我活著,你們也要活著。」門徒們從祂所要接受的,不是祂在地上時的生命,乃是復活的生命;這生命帶著勝過死亡的大能,並且也帶著被高舉超過一切而達到神右邊的能力。從此祂就一直住在他們裏面,這是一個新的、屬天的、永遠的生命;耶穌自己的生命要充滿他們。這個應許乃是賜給一切因信而接受的人。 何等可惜,有許多基督徒都僅僅滿意於基督徒生命的開端,而從不渴慕得著生命的豐滿,就是那更豐盛的生命!他們不相信能得著這豐滿的生命;他們也不準備為了完全被耶穌的生命所充滿而有所犧牲。神的兒女啊!這個信息現在再次臨到你們:「在人所不能的事,在神卻能。」(路十八27)我求你們一定要敞開自己,讓基督奇妙的應許佔有你們的心。除非你得到一個完滿的救恩,否則就不要滿足。那就是基督活在你裏面,你也活在基督裏面。切記這乃是對所有願意放下自己來聽基督應許之人說的,他們也相信神的大能大力,要在他們裏面作成祂恩典奇妙的神蹟,就是基督因信住在他們心裏。

四月十二日 道德的權力 「死也不再作祂的主了……祂活是向神活著,這樣,你們向罪也當是死的,向神在基督耶穌裡,卻當看自己是活的。」羅馬書六章9—11節 同有永生──永生是耶穌基督在人類的平面上所陳列的生命,這生命是在我們從神生時,與我們血肉裡所表現的生命無異;並不是它的副樣。永生不是從神來的恩賜,是神自己。在我們一旦對於罪表現道德的決斷,藉著神的特恩,耶穌裡所表現的精力和權能,在我們裡面也要表現出來。 「你們要領受聖靈的能力」──不是聖靈所賜的能力,就是聖靈本身,不是祂所分賜的東西。在耶穌裡頭的生命,於我們一決定與祂合而為一的時候,就藉著十字架成為我們的。如果我們不易與神和好,那是因為我們對於罪,沒有十分決定的緣故。我們一經決定,神豐富的生命,就進來了。耶穌來給與我們生命無限的供給:「使你們滿有神的豐富。」永生與時間是沒有關係的,那為的是要得到耶穌來到人世的生活。生命的唯一來源是主耶穌基督。 最軟弱的聖徒,如果一旦願意放下心來,完全順從,也能經驗神兒子神性的能力。我們信靠自身的任何能力,就必須毀耶穌的生命。我們能放下心來完全順從,神的偉大而豐富的生命,必逐漸穩定地侵入我們的各部份,而人也必定認知我們是追隨耶穌的。

四月十二日 「眾百姓發怨言,他們的惡語達到耶和華的耳中,耶和華聽見了就怒氣發作……」民數記十一章1節 在民數記中有一個很值得注意的句子,因為那記載了以色列子民在曠野中的光景:以色列人又發怨言。這短短的句子就像註釋一樣,比正文更清楚說明以色列人的不信,而且其中含了很深的真理。 有許多人不敢公開、明目張膽地犯罪,但我們不難想像,這些人常背地裡做些見不得人的事。他們雖不敢公然說謊,可是卻常慌張得閃爍其詞,或是藉模稜兩可的話、暗示不實的言詞,以逃避面對良心的審判。儘管他們不會坦白地說神是不仁慈、不信實的,卻總是抱怨別人或神的不是,使世人對神產生不好的印象。他們不是怨尤環境,就是責怪別人。每當一些神所允許但卻不順心的事發生時,他們必然發怨言。毫無疑問,他們是無法藉抱怨解決任何事情的,然而他們還是覺得非說些氣話不可。如果他們能夠定神的罪,或許他們會認為神是不智的。 親愛的朋友,這些經文的記載乃是為警告我們而寫的。
