三月十七日 為個別的靈魂代禱 「……你們……的將被收集,啊!以色列人哪……。」以賽亞書廿七章12節 我們身體裡面的每一肢體,都有它固定的位置;在社會上或在教會中也是如此。工作是整體的利益及完善的目標,但目標之達成,卻是藉著每一個肢體的配搭工作。 在教會中有一種普遍的想法,就是人們的得救乃是神僕人的事。由於他通常都是與群眾接觸,卻少有機會接觸到個人。這就造成雙重的虧損。信徒本身不明白他該對他四周的人作見證—─這可使他自己的屬靈生命活潑剛強,又可使人蒙恩。由於不信的人所接觸到的信徒沒有把基督個別的傳給他,他就受到說不出的虧損。我們極少發現有人想到該為著四周的人代禱。基督徒的生活需要恢復代禱應佔的地位——那對教會及其中一切事奉是多麼重要! 哦!基督徒甚麼時候認清這個偉大的事實,神在天上渴望要作的需要地上的禱告,這是不可或缺的。只要認識這件事時,我們才看見代禱是使靈魂得救的主要因素。若沒有聖靈的能力顯出在禱告的事工上,一切努力都是徒然;只有當神的僕人與子民在禱告與見證上合一時,教會才會興旺,每個信徒才明白他們該作的是甚麼。 我們如何能激發起代禱的靈?答案是兩面的。一面要每一個基督徒當他一開始領悟到代禱的能力及需要時,就開始為著個別的靈魂從事實際的代禱事工。為著你的兒女、親人、朋友、及所有神在你四周所安排的人代禱。如果你感覺代禱缺乏能力時,謙卑俯伏在施恩座前,神要每一個蒙救贖的兒女為那些將滅亡的人代禱。禱告乃如正常基督徒生活的呼吸一般重要——證明那是從上面來的。 然後迫切不斷地禱告神將聖靈的能力賜給你,及所有你四周所有神的兒女們,使代禱之能顯在蒙神尊重的地位中。

三月十七日 工人之支配慾 「我們立了志向要得主的喜悅。」哥林多後書五章9節 「我們立了志向……」要把主的鴻圖放在前面,跟著不離,那是艱苦的工作。那便是說一年一年的勉強自己達到最高的理想。不是要感動甚麼人,建設甚麼教會,開甚麼奮興會,僅僅是企圖「得主的喜悅」。不是缺少靈性經驗而失敗,乃是缺乏努力保持正當的理想。至少要每禮拜一次把我們所行的拿到神面前,看我們的生活是否遵照神所期望的標準。保羅像一位音樂家,他所要求的是教他的人的讚賞,不問聽眾的讚賞。 任何企圖稍微偏離「求悅於神」的中心,其結果或是我們成為撇棄的人。習於辨別志向所達到的歸結,你就明白為甚麼要仰望耶穌基督而生活的緣故。保羅說:「我是攻克己身,叫身服我,恐怕我傳福音給別人,自己反被棄絕了。」(林前九27) 我要習於將各種事件去與主要的企圖發生關係,保持而不間斷。我對社會顯明的價值,就是以我私人的價值為標準。我主要的企圖是討祂的歡心,要得祂的喜悅呢?抑是次一等的好呢?

三月十七日 「祂記念祂的約,直到永遠……」詩篇一百零五篇8節 我們若是在律法中靠自己的能力掙扎,我們會一直在罪的控制下。但當我們走出西乃山的陰影,欣然地接受基督的恩典和祂白白賜予的全然救恩,一切的掙扎就會成為歷史。因祂曾應許作我們思想上和感情上的公義主,我們能藉著祂稱義,並且求祂保守我們,在遇到任何敵對的情況時,仍然能在祂完全的旨意和平安之中。 我們真的知道且相信這的確是福音的應許,以及新約的本質嗎?我們是否相信基督已保證將祂的律放在我們心中,使我們能按著祂的命令行事,並且遵守祂的旨意?我們確實瞭解神曾向亞伯拉罕所起的誓:叫他既從仇敵手中被救出來,就可以終身在神面前坦然無懼的用聖潔、公義事奉祂(路一74、75)。神也曾向我們起誓祂會像對待亞伯拉罕一樣待我們,祂會實現祂的應許,因為祂是信實的,讓我們完全依靠祂。
