1:1 亞伯拉罕的後裔,大衛的子孫〔後裔,子孫:原文是兒子;下同〕耶穌基督的家譜: A record of the genealogy of Jesus Christ the son of David, the son of Abraham:
1:2 亞伯拉罕生以撒;以撒生雅各;雅各生猶大和他的弟兄; Abraham was the father of Isaac, Isaac the father of Jacob, Jacob the father of Judah and his brothers,
1:3 猶大從她瑪氏生法勒斯和謝拉;法勒斯生希斯崙;希斯崙生亞蘭; Judah the father of Perez and Zerah, whose mother was Tamar, Perez the father of Hezron, Hezron the father of Ram,
1:4 亞蘭生亞米拿達;亞米拿達生拿順;拿順生撒門; Ram the father of Amminadab, Amminadab the father of Nahshon, Nahshon the father of Salmon,
1:5 撒門從喇合氏生波阿斯;波阿斯從路得氏生俄備得;俄備得生耶西; Salmon the father of Boaz, whose mother was Rahab, Boaz the father of Obed, whose mother was Ruth, Obed the father of Jesse,
1:6 耶西生大衛王。大衛從烏利亞的妻子生所羅門; and Jesse the father of King David.David was the father of Solomon, whose mother had been Uriah's wife,
1:7 所羅門生羅波安;羅波安生亞比雅;亞比雅生亞撒; Solomon the father of Rehoboam, Rehoboam the father of Abijah, Abijah the father of Asa,
1:8 亞撒生約沙法;約沙法生約蘭;約蘭生烏西雅; Asa the father of Jehoshaphat, Jehoshaphat the father of Jehoram, Jehoram the father of Uzziah,
1:9 烏西雅生約坦;約坦生亞哈斯;亞哈斯生希西家; Uzziah the father of Jotham, Jotham the father of Ahaz, Ahaz the father of Hezekiah,
1:10 希西家生瑪拿西;瑪拿西生亞們;亞們生約西亞; Hezekiah the father of Manasseh, Manasseh the father of Amon, Amon the father of Josiah,
1:11 百姓被遷到巴比倫的時候,約西亞生耶哥尼雅和他的弟兄。 and Josiah the father of Jeconiah (\f1 1:11 That is, Jehoiachin; also in verse 12) and his brothers at the time of the exile to Babylon.
1:12 遷到巴比倫以後,耶哥尼雅生撒拉鐵;撒拉鐵生所羅巴伯; After the exile to Babylon: Jeconiah was the father of Shealtiel, Shealtiel the father of Zerubbabel,
1:13 所羅巴伯生亞比玉;亞比玉生以利亞敬;以利亞敬生亞所; Zerubbabel the father of Abiud, Abiud the father of Eliakim, Eliakim the father of Azor,
1:14 亞所生撒督;撒督生亞金;亞金生以律; Azor the father of Zadok, Zadok the father of Akim, Akim the father of Eliud,
1:15 以律生以利亞撒;以利亞撒生馬但;馬但生雅各; Eliud the father of Eleazar, Eleazar the father of Matthan, Matthan the father of Jacob,
1:16 雅各生約瑟,就是馬利亞的丈夫。那稱為基督的耶穌是從馬利亞生的。 and Jacob the father of Joseph, the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.
1:17 這樣,從亞伯拉罕到大衛共有十四代;從大衛到遷至巴比倫的時候也有十四代;從遷至巴比倫的時候到基督又有十四代。 Thus there were fourteen generations in all from Abraham to David, fourteen from David to the exile to Babylon, and fourteen from the exile to the Christ. (\f2 1:17 Or|i Messiah|d. <<The Christ>> (Greek) and <<the Messiah>>(Hebrew) both mean <<the Anointed One.>>)
1:18 耶穌基督降生的事記在下面:他母親馬利亞巳經許配了約瑟,還沒有迎娶,馬利亞就從聖靈懷了孕。 This is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be with child through the Holy Spirit.
1:19 她丈夫約瑟是個義人,不願意明明地羞辱她,想要暗暗地把她休了。 Because Joseph her husband was a righteous man and did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly.
1:20 正思念這事的時候,有主的使者向他夢中顯現,說:「大衛的子孫約瑟,不要怕!只管娶過你的妻子馬利亞來,因她所懷的孕是從聖靈來的。 But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, <<Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.
1:21 她將要生一個兒子,你要給他起名叫耶穌,因他要將自己的百姓從罪惡裏救出來。」 She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, (\f3 1:21 |iJesus|d is the Greek form of|i Joshua|d, which means|i the Lord saves|d.) because he will save his people from their sins.>>
1:22 這一切的事成就是要應驗主藉先知所說的話, All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet:
1:23 說:「必有童女懷孕生子;人要稱他的名為以馬內利。」(以馬內利翻出來就是「 神與我們同在」。) <<The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel>>(\f4 1:23 Isaiah 7:14)--which means, <<God with us.>>
1:24 約瑟醒了,起來,就遵著主使者的吩咐把妻子娶過來; When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took Mary home as his wife.
1:25 只是沒有和她同房,等她生了兒子〔有古卷:等她生了頭胎的兒子〕,就給他起名叫耶穌。 But he had no union with her until she gave birth to a son. And he gave him the name Jesus.

五月十五日 「現在有雲遮蔽,人不得見穹蒼的光亮。」約伯記卅七章21節 雲彩點綴了世界的美麗,天上如果永遠蔚藍一片,缺少了變幻多端的雲彩的美景。地球也會失去常態,變成一片單調。人生也時有雲彩罩上來,有時陰暗,有時燦爛宜人,有時漆黑如夜;但任何一種雲,都有它的光明面,所謂「我把虹放在雲彩中。」(創九13) 如果我們能從另一方向去觀察,這些雲彩靜伏如波濤,高聳如阿爾卑斯山的峰巒,浴於它們所遮斷的光明中,我們將驚嘆它們的燦爛與美麗。 我們在地上抬頭所看見的是它向下的一面,誰能從整個的空間,居於雲端之上,給我們描述那照耀著雲峰,雲谷的光明呢?次之,每一滴使生命滋長的水份,亦不是由雲給我們帶來的嗎? 神的孩子啊,使你痛心的遭遇,使你流淚的難處,都是你靈程中的烏雲。你若從地上望上去,果然是又黑又暗;可是你若從與基督同坐的天上望下來,如果你因此知道了它們在天堂美景與基督滿面春風的笑貌之前,如何反映出五光十色,彩虹一般的美麗,那麼它們雖在你人生的旅程中投下陰影,你也會欣然領會,不再沮喪了。你祗要知道,在神的清風之前,雲彩永遠是在來來去去的。─選 我不知為什麼大風暴, 突然圍著我狂吼怒嘯, 但我知,神一路照顧我, 因此我能信靠。 我也許沒有辦法除掉, 遮掩未來的神秘幕罩, 不知道前面是黑暗或光明, 但是我能信靠。 我的視力不能透過浪潮, 看不見彼岸的鄉郊, 但我知我永遠屬於神, 我的信絕不動搖。
■ 英文荒漠甘泉(05月15日)
May 15  "Men see not the bright light which is in the clouds." (Job 37:21.)  THE world owes much of its beauty to cloudland. The unchanging blue of the Italian sky hardly compensates for the changefulness and glory of the clouds. Earth would become a wilderness apart from their ministry. There are clouds in human life, shadowing, refreshing, and sometimes draping it in blackness of night; but there is never a cloud without its bright light. "I do set my bow in the cloud!"  If we could see the clouds from the others side where they lie in billowy glory, bathed in the light they intercept, like heaped ranges of Alps, we should be amazed at their splendid magnificence.  We look at their under side; but who shall describe the bright light that bathes their summits and searches their valleys and is reflected from every pinnacle of their expanse? Is not every drop drinking in health-giving qualities, which it will carry to the earth?  O child of God! If you could see your sorrows and troubles from the other side; if instead of looking up at them from earth, you would look down on them from the heavenly places where you sit with Christ; if you knew how they are reflecting in prismatic beauty before the gaze of Heaven, the bright light of Christ's face, you would be content that they should cast their deep shadows over the mountain slopes of existence. Only remember that clouds are always moving and passing before God's cleansing wind.            ─Selected. "I cannot know why suddenly the storm Should rage so fiercely round me in its wrath; But this I know─God watches all my path,  And I can trust. "I may not draw aside the mystic veil That hides the unknown future from my sight, Nor know if for me waits the dark or light;  But I can trust. "I have no power to look across the tide, To see while here the land beyond the river; But this I know─I shall be God's forever;  So I can trust."
■ 永活之泉(05月15日)
五月十五日 神的愛在我心中 「所賜給我們的聖靈,將神的愛澆灌在我們心裏。」羅馬書五章5節 聖靈是父神澆灌在我們心中的,而神的愛又是藉著聖靈澆灌在我們心中;神澆灌聖靈是何等真實,而聖靈澆灌神的愛也是何等真實。 為何我們這麼少體驗這個真理?原因很簡單:就是不信。相信聖靈能在我們心中運行,屬靈的能力將神的愛充滿,我們自然得花費一點時間。我們要下工夫從世界退卻去接受神的愛,這永遠的愛才能佔有我們的心;假如我們深信神永遠的愛,並祂屬靈的大能會佔有我們的心,那我們就會接受我們向聖靈所求,將神愛澆灌在我們的心中。神渴望祂的兒女盡心盡力地愛祂,祂看我們何等地重要。因此,祂賜下能夠測透神奧秘事的聖靈,而這些奧秘事,是以神對祂兒子永遠的愛,充滿我們心中為根基。 假如你渴慕這種光景,常在神裏面,安靜地向祂屈膝敬拜,那你就能明白無法用屬世知識理解,神在基督裏的愛。 聖靈的要求是所有的你,祂就會指教你如何每天像小孩般地與父神常在主的愛裏,如何去愛弟兄姊妹和世上的罪人;祂要在你心中安置一直流露永恆的愛,使周圍的人因此蒙福,衷心地獻上完全的感謝。因為聖靈要將神的愛澆灌在我們心中。

五月十五日 養成不失時機的習慣 「使你們知道祂的恩召有何等指望。」以弗所書一章18節 謹記你為甚麼蒙救──好叫神的兒子彰顯在我必死的身體裡面。出全力認知你蒙召作神的兒子;無論何時不可失時機。 對於你的救贖,你無能為力,但是你必得把救贖彰顯出來。也必得將神在你裡面所行的,在外面彰顯出來。你是用你的舌頭,你的腦筋行出來麼?如果你依舊是個橫逆的人,自行其是,你說神救了你,潔淨了你,那是謊言。 神是最大的工程師,祂准許困難到來,正是要看你能否應付得當──「藉著我的神,我能跳過牆去」。神從不撤銷你做祂子女的任何條件。彼得說:「有火煉的試驗臨到你們,不要以為奇怪」。事情來了,要去對付,只要神在你身上有彰顯的機會;無論何種損失,不應顧及。 唯願神在我們裡面找不著怨訴,卻在我們裡面發現靈性的膽力,準備應付祂所頒給我們的事。我們要訓練自己,好叫神兒子彰顯在我們必死的肉體裡面。神從沒有博物院,生命的唯一目的,是彰顯神的兒子,舉凡關於神的指令都得消滅。我們的主從不命令祂的父,我們也不要命令神;我們遵從祂的旨意,好叫祂藉著我們行出祂所要行的事,當我們認知這事的時候,祂將使我們成為擘的餅奠的酒養活別的人們。

五月十五日 「向著標竿直跑」腓立比書三章14節 我們經常會想我們已經得到的一切,但現在就讓我們思想尚未得著的種種。到底有那些器皿還沒裝滿,有那些方面聖靈仍未得著我們,或是有那些事使我們能更多歸榮耀給神、並與祂同工的? 在今年所餘下的時光中,我們豈能不勤奮、自省,讓神將所剩的油抹在我們頭上(利十四17—20),使我們把祂還未得著的餘地以及事奉都交託給祂。 屬靈的生命中,我們是否已得到祂豐富的恩典?是否已經歷過祂的榮耀?在靈魂體三方面,是否已經相信祂的應許?是否知道祂在我們身體方面可能行的奇事?我們是否曾試驗過祂超自然的能力,以及改變人心和諸國的能力?祂可曾打開祂的府庫,供給我們經濟上的需要?我們已開始瞭解禱告的事工,像祂要我們那樣地操練禱告嗎?願神將所餘的油抹在我們頭上。
