1:2 亞伯拉罕生以撒;以撒生雅各;雅各生猶大和他的弟兄; Abraham was the father of Isaac, Isaac the father of Jacob, Jacob the father of Judah and his brothers, 1:3 猶大從她瑪氏生法勒斯和謝拉;法勒斯生希斯崙;希斯崙生亞蘭; Judah the father of Perez and Zerah, whose mother was Tamar, Perez the father of Hezron, Hezron the father of Ram, 1:4 亞蘭生亞米拿達;亞米拿達生拿順;拿順生撒門; Ram the father of Amminadab, Amminadab the father of Nahshon, Nahshon the father of Salmon, 1:5 撒門從喇合氏生波阿斯;波阿斯從路得氏生俄備得;俄備得生耶西; Salmon the father of Boaz, whose mother was Rahab, Boaz the father of Obed, whose mother was Ruth, Obed the father of Jesse, 1:6 耶西生大衛王。大衛從烏利亞的妻子生所羅門; and Jesse the father of King David.David was the father of Solomon, whose mother had been Uriah's wife, 1:7 所羅門生羅波安;羅波安生亞比雅;亞比雅生亞撒; Solomon the father of Rehoboam, Rehoboam the father of Abijah, Abijah the father of Asa, 1:8 亞撒生約沙法;約沙法生約蘭;約蘭生烏西雅; Asa the father of Jehoshaphat, Jehoshaphat the father of Jehoram, Jehoram the father of Uzziah, 1:9 烏西雅生約坦;約坦生亞哈斯;亞哈斯生希西家; Uzziah the father of Jotham, Jotham the father of Ahaz, Ahaz the father of Hezekiah, 1:10 希西家生瑪拿西;瑪拿西生亞們;亞們生約西亞; Hezekiah the father of Manasseh, Manasseh the father of Amon, Amon the father of Josiah, 1:11 百姓被遷到巴比倫的時候,約西亞生耶哥尼雅和他的弟兄。 and Josiah the father of Jeconiah (\f1 1:11 That is, Jehoiachin; also in verse 12) and his brothers at the time of the exile to Babylon. 1:12 遷到巴比倫以後,耶哥尼雅生撒拉鐵;撒拉鐵生所羅巴伯; After the exile to Babylon: Jeconiah was the father of Shealtiel, Shealtiel the father of Zerubbabel, 1:13 所羅巴伯生亞比玉;亞比玉生以利亞敬;以利亞敬生亞所; Zerubbabel the father of Abiud, Abiud the father of Eliakim, Eliakim the father of Azor, 1:14 亞所生撒督;撒督生亞金;亞金生以律; Azor the father of Zadok, Zadok the father of Akim, Akim the father of Eliud, 1:15 以律生以利亞撒;以利亞撒生馬但;馬但生雅各; Eliud the father of Eleazar, Eleazar the father of Matthan, Matthan the father of Jacob, 1:16 雅各生約瑟,就是馬利亞的丈夫。那稱為基督的耶穌是從馬利亞生的。 and Jacob the father of Joseph, the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ. 1:17 這樣,從亞伯拉罕到大衛共有十四代;從大衛到遷至巴比倫的時候也有十四代;從遷至巴比倫的時候到基督又有十四代。 Thus there were fourteen generations in all from Abraham to David, fourteen from David to the exile to Babylon, and fourteen from the exile to the Christ. (\f2 1:17 Or|i Messiah|d. <<The Christ>> (Greek) and <<the Messiah>>(Hebrew) both mean <<the Anointed One.>>) 1:18 耶穌基督降生的事記在下面:他母親馬利亞巳經許配了約瑟,還沒有迎娶,馬利亞就從聖靈懷了孕。 This is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be with child through the Holy Spirit. 1:19 她丈夫約瑟是個義人,不願意明明地羞辱她,想要暗暗地把她休了。 Because Joseph her husband was a righteous man and did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly. 1:20 正思念這事的時候,有主的使者向他夢中顯現,說:「大衛的子孫約瑟,不要怕!只管娶過你的妻子馬利亞來,因她所懷的孕是從聖靈來的。 But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, <<Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. 1:21 她將要生一個兒子,你要給他起名叫耶穌,因他要將自己的百姓從罪惡裏救出來。」 She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, (\f3 1:21 |iJesus|d is the Greek form of|i Joshua|d, which means|i the Lord saves|d.) because he will save his people from their sins.>> 1:22 這一切的事成就是要應驗主藉先知所說的話, All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: 1:23 說:「必有童女懷孕生子;人要稱他的名為以馬內利。」(以馬內利翻出來就是「 神與我們同在」。) <<The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel>>(\f4 1:23 Isaiah 7:14)--which means, <<God with us.>> 1:24 約瑟醒了,起來,就遵著主使者的吩咐把妻子娶過來; When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took Mary home as his wife. 1:25 只是沒有和她同房,等她生了兒子〔有古卷:等她生了頭胎的兒子〕,就給他起名叫耶穌。 But he had no union with her until she gave birth to a son. 六月廿七日 「以色列的能力,是神所賜的。」詩篇六八篇28節 神給我們的力量原是豐豐富富的,總叫我們無論在工作上、生活上,都有彀用的能力和決心去應付。以弗所三章16節說:「藉著祂的靈,叫你們心裏的力量剛強起來。」所以我們看見:我們的力量後面,乃是聖靈;我們的力量是從來不會止息的,因為我們後面的貯藏是取之不竭、用之不盡的。哈利路亞! 「你的日子如何,你的力量也必如何。」(申卅三25)這裏所說的力量,包括意志的力量,愛的力量,判斷的力量,理想與成功的力量。 「耶和華是我的力量」——前進的力量。祂給我力量踐踏死亡的平地,行走永不轉彎的長巷,忍受長期苦悶的單調生活。 「耶和華是我的力量」——往上的力量。祂是我攀登的力量。有了祂,我攀登的時候,一點懼怕也沒有。 「耶和華是我的力量」——往下的力量。當我們離開涼風習習的山頂,開始下到沉悶酷熱的地區去的時候,我們的心最容易沮喪。所以當我們往下走的時候,我們更需要神的力量。有一位身體日趨孱弱的人,曾經說:「每況愈下,最使人難於支持」。 「耶和華是我的力量」——靜止的力量。不要想靜止是一件容易的事!當我們不得不安靜的時候,常會對人說:「讓我作點事,多好呢!」 當一個孩子病得非常沉重的時候,作母親的無能為力地站在旁邊,這是多麼難堪的一回事!一點也不能作甚麼;只能靜靜地守著、望著、等著、待著;這種時候,我們就需要神給我們靜止的力量。感謝主!「我所能承擔的,乃是出於神。」(林後三5) ─譯自銀襯

June 27 "The Lord hath sent strength for thee."(Psa. 68:28, P. B. V.) THE Lord imparts unto us that primary strength of character which makes everything in life work with intensity and desicion. We are "strengthened with might by His Spirit in the inner man." And the strength is continuous; reserves of power come to us which we cannot exhaust. "As thy days, so shall thy strength be"─strength of will, strength of affection, strength of judgment, strength of ideals and achievement. "The Lord is my strength" to go on. He gives us power to tread the dead level, to walk the long lane that seems never to have a turning, to go through those long reaches of life which afford no pleasant surprise, and which depress the spirits in the sameness of a terrible drudgery. "The Lord is my strength" to go up. He is to me the power by which I can climb the Hill Difficulty and not be afraid. "The Lord is my strength" to go down. It is when we leave the bracing heights, where the wind and the sun have been about us, and when we begin to come down the hill into closer and more sultry spheres, that the heart is apt to grow faint. I heard a man say the other day concerning his growing physical frailty, "It is the coming down that tires me!" "The Lord is my strength" to sit still. And how difficult is the attainment! Do we not often say to one another, in seasons when we are compelled to be quiet, "If only I could do something!" When the child is ill, and the mother stands by in comparative impotence, how severs is the test! But to do nothing, just to sit still and wait, requires tremendous strength. "The Lord is my strength!" "Our sufficiency is of God." ─The Silver Lining.

六月廿七日 基督對世人的愛 「你們若有彼此相愛的心,眾人就因此認出你們是我的門徒了。」約翰福音十三章35節 「使他們都合而為一,正如你父在我裏面,我在你裏面,使他們也在我們裏面,叫世人可以信你差了我來……叫世人知道你愛他們正如愛我一樣。」約翰福音十七章21—23節 在這兩處經文中,我們的主明確地表示祂以普世的人為念,祂盼望全人類都能得救,這種期望是建立在不同種族與國家中得救的人彼此相愛、合而為一所產生的能力。因為這樣,那些異教徒會說:「看哪!這些基督徒是多麼的彼此相愛!!」 主的救贖不僅要使我們快樂,這只是一個開始;祂最大的目標是要我們每位蒙恩的人去領人歸主。祂不只命令要成為世人的見證,還將屬天相愛的能力賜給這些自私的人,本來他們「恨自己,也恨別人」;但得著了像主耶穌的新生命,有無私的愛,使所有的門徒合而為一。 你願從人們因為這些講道,得著一種改變的能力,而開始去實行嗎?世人會問:基督教和其他宗教比起來,有什麼優越之處?答案是基督能真正改變自私的人們,成為無私、彼此相愛,這個有關教會和世人深奧的道理,就是基督要彰顯屬天的愛;因為父神怎樣愛基督,也要怎樣愛他們,基督也有這種相同的愛心。 現在世人最大的需要什麼?那就是藉著聖靈在人心中有彼此相愛的復興,信徒、全教會以及願意愛神,並向祂降服的人,會因此得到無限的福份。

六月廿七日 個人得救的徵兆 「我與你同在,要拯救你,這是耶和華說的。」耶利米書一章8節 神應許耶利米,親身拯救他──「我要以你的命為掠物」。這是神對祂兒女們一種普遍的應許,不是專為耶利米的。神無論差我們到那裡,祂要保護我們,我們私自的財產是無關緊要的,我們不要重看這些東西;如其不然,就免不了恐慌,傷心,痛苦。這是個人得救之徵兆內在性。 山上寶訓所指示我們的,是我們於領受耶穌基督使命的時候,不容許替自己打算。因此,耶穌說,你們不要顧慮所受的待遇公道不公道,找尋公道就是離去順服祂的標記。在這個世界,切不要希望得著公道,但仍不可以不公道行事。如果我們希望得著公道,我們就要抱怨,就要縱情於自憐──「我為甚麼受這種待遇呢?」如果我們順服耶穌基督,我們所遇的,無論公道不公道,不能叫我們介懷。耶穌說──「我吩咐你做的,按部就班的做,我必保護你的生命,如果你自己想保護它,你就不能得到我的保護」。我們之中最虔敬的人,在這個方面,不免無神派之嫌;我們不信神,我們奉了理論為王,加上神的徽號。我們偏向自己的理解,而不專心倚靠神。

六月廿七日 「……要被聖靈充滿」以弗所書五章18節 被聖靈充滿的人,會衍生出許多的影響: 一、在心裡及生活中聖潔:這不是人天性中的完美,而是屬神的性格內住在我們裡面的聖潔。 二、充滿喜樂,內心能不斷地發射出光輝:這種情形不是靠環境,乃是藉著聖靈的喜樂,使其在最難堪的環境中,仍然有歡笑。 三、充滿智慧與屬靈的亮光和知識,能像神一樣地來看週遭的事物。 四、有一個提昇、進步和活潑的心,且能接受應許的實現。因為有聖靈充滿的人,是滿有基督的心了(林前二16)。 五、在身體上也同樣變得有生氣,因為身體和靈、魂,都是為聖靈所造。 六、有能力為聖靈所要禱告的事代求。如果聖靈在其裡面,神就能藉著他,奇妙地在周圍的世界中工作。
