1:1 亞伯拉罕的後裔,大衛的子孫〔後裔,子孫:原文是兒子;下同〕耶穌基督的家譜: A record of the genealogy of Jesus Christ the son of David, the son of Abraham:
1:2 亞伯拉罕生以撒;以撒生雅各;雅各生猶大和他的弟兄; Abraham was the father of Isaac, Isaac the father of Jacob, Jacob the father of Judah and his brothers,
1:3 猶大從她瑪氏生法勒斯和謝拉;法勒斯生希斯崙;希斯崙生亞蘭; Judah the father of Perez and Zerah, whose mother was Tamar, Perez the father of Hezron, Hezron the father of Ram,
1:4 亞蘭生亞米拿達;亞米拿達生拿順;拿順生撒門; Ram the father of Amminadab, Amminadab the father of Nahshon, Nahshon the father of Salmon,
1:5 撒門從喇合氏生波阿斯;波阿斯從路得氏生俄備得;俄備得生耶西; Salmon the father of Boaz, whose mother was Rahab, Boaz the father of Obed, whose mother was Ruth, Obed the father of Jesse,
1:6 耶西生大衛王。大衛從烏利亞的妻子生所羅門; and Jesse the father of King David.David was the father of Solomon, whose mother had been Uriah's wife,
1:7 所羅門生羅波安;羅波安生亞比雅;亞比雅生亞撒; Solomon the father of Rehoboam, Rehoboam the father of Abijah, Abijah the father of Asa,
1:8 亞撒生約沙法;約沙法生約蘭;約蘭生烏西雅; Asa the father of Jehoshaphat, Jehoshaphat the father of Jehoram, Jehoram the father of Uzziah,
1:9 烏西雅生約坦;約坦生亞哈斯;亞哈斯生希西家; Uzziah the father of Jotham, Jotham the father of Ahaz, Ahaz the father of Hezekiah,
1:10 希西家生瑪拿西;瑪拿西生亞們;亞們生約西亞; Hezekiah the father of Manasseh, Manasseh the father of Amon, Amon the father of Josiah,
1:11 百姓被遷到巴比倫的時候,約西亞生耶哥尼雅和他的弟兄。 and Josiah the father of Jeconiah (\f1 1:11 That is, Jehoiachin; also in verse 12) and his brothers at the time of the exile to Babylon.
1:12 遷到巴比倫以後,耶哥尼雅生撒拉鐵;撒拉鐵生所羅巴伯; After the exile to Babylon: Jeconiah was the father of Shealtiel, Shealtiel the father of Zerubbabel,
1:13 所羅巴伯生亞比玉;亞比玉生以利亞敬;以利亞敬生亞所; Zerubbabel the father of Abiud, Abiud the father of Eliakim, Eliakim the father of Azor,
1:14 亞所生撒督;撒督生亞金;亞金生以律; Azor the father of Zadok, Zadok the father of Akim, Akim the father of Eliud,
1:15 以律生以利亞撒;以利亞撒生馬但;馬但生雅各; Eliud the father of Eleazar, Eleazar the father of Matthan, Matthan the father of Jacob,
1:16 雅各生約瑟,就是馬利亞的丈夫。那稱為基督的耶穌是從馬利亞生的。 and Jacob the father of Joseph, the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.
1:17 這樣,從亞伯拉罕到大衛共有十四代;從大衛到遷至巴比倫的時候也有十四代;從遷至巴比倫的時候到基督又有十四代。 Thus there were fourteen generations in all from Abraham to David, fourteen from David to the exile to Babylon, and fourteen from the exile to the Christ. (\f2 1:17 Or|i Messiah|d. <<The Christ>> (Greek) and <<the Messiah>>(Hebrew) both mean <<the Anointed One.>>)
1:18 耶穌基督降生的事記在下面:他母親馬利亞巳經許配了約瑟,還沒有迎娶,馬利亞就從聖靈懷了孕。 This is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be with child through the Holy Spirit.
1:19 她丈夫約瑟是個義人,不願意明明地羞辱她,想要暗暗地把她休了。 Because Joseph her husband was a righteous man and did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly.
1:20 正思念這事的時候,有主的使者向他夢中顯現,說:「大衛的子孫約瑟,不要怕!只管娶過你的妻子馬利亞來,因她所懷的孕是從聖靈來的。 But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, <<Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.
1:21 她將要生一個兒子,你要給他起名叫耶穌,因他要將自己的百姓從罪惡裏救出來。」 She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, (\f3 1:21 |iJesus|d is the Greek form of|i Joshua|d, which means|i the Lord saves|d.) because he will save his people from their sins.>>
1:22 這一切的事成就是要應驗主藉先知所說的話, All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet:
1:23 說:「必有童女懷孕生子;人要稱他的名為以馬內利。」(以馬內利翻出來就是「 神與我們同在」。) <<The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel>>(\f4 1:23 Isaiah 7:14)--which means, <<God with us.>>
1:24 約瑟醒了,起來,就遵著主使者的吩咐把妻子娶過來; When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took Mary home as his wife.
1:25 只是沒有和她同房,等她生了兒子〔有古卷:等她生了頭胎的兒子〕,就給他起名叫耶穌。 But he had no union with her until she gave birth to a son. And he gave him the name Jesus.

七月六日 「我們也不知道怎樣行,我們的眼目,單仰望你。」歷代志下廿章12節 以色列人中因為未奉神命,輕易用人手去扶住約櫃,以致遭了擊殺。雖然他去扶的目的頂好─—為著要按住約櫃的震動—─但是他的僭越使他喪失了生命。 信心的生活是怎樣的生活呢?就是自己一點不管,讓神去負全責。 如果我們已經將一件事情完全交託了神,我們自己就不該再去顧問;全能的神難道還需要我們的幫助嗎?祂所作的難道還不及我們嗎?詩篇卅七篇7節說:「你當默然倚靠耶和華,耐性等候祂。不要因那道路通達的,和那惡謀成就的,心懷不平。」 也許你看見事情越過越糟了,但是我們既知道,神那裏會不知道呢?如果我們真心完全託付祂,讓祂按照祂自己的方法和時間去成就,祂一定會在適當的時間起來的。在許多事情上,我們能完全不動,真是莫大的幫助;反之,如果我們自己仍不息地工作著,卻是一個極大的阻礙。           ─宣信 當感到迷惑煩惱, 我說: 「主,請你替我們把事情弄好! 對於你,陰暗等於光明, 黑夜猶如白日杲杲。 我怕接觸這些事情, 含有如許糾纏和騷擾, 我無力的手可能發抖, 你決不會錯,準把事情弄好」。 當到感到迷惑不決, 我說: 「主,請你明白吩咐; 那一條路將有收穫, 那一條路安全無誤? 我的智慧看不清路途, 也沒有把握舉步, 主啊,你既瞭如指掌, 也使我清楚,不會弄錯」。 把一團亂麻的人生,交到神的手裡,讓祂去處理,豈不是無上的安慰。

July 6 "Neither know we what to do; but our eyes are upon thee." (2 Chron. 20:12.)  A LIFE was lost in Israel because a pair of human hands were laid unbidden upon the ark of God. They were placed upon it with the best intent, to steady it when trembling and shaking as the oxen drew it along the rough way; but they touched God's work presumptuously, and they fell paralyzed and lifeless. Much of the life of faith consists in letting things alone.  If we wholly trust an interest to God, we must keep our hands off it; and He will guard it for us better than we can help Him. "Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass."  Things may seem to be going all wrong, but He knows as well as we; and he will arise in the right moment if we are really trusting Him so fully as to let Him work in His own way and time. There is nothing so masterly as inactivity in some things, and there is nothing so hurtful as restless working, for God has undertaken to work His sovereign will.           ─A. B. Simpson. "Being perplexed, I say, Lord, make it right! Night is as day to Thee, Darkness as light. I am afraid to touch things that involve so much; My trembling hand may shake, My skilless hand may break; Thine can make no mistake.' "Being in doubt i say, `Lord, make it plain; Which is the true, safe way? Which would be gain? I am not wise to know, Nor sure of foot to go; What is so clear to Thee, Lord, make it clear to me!' "  It is such a comfort to drop the tangles of life into God's hands and leave them there.
■ 永活之泉(07月06日)
七月六日 永遠同在的生命 「父要另外賜給你們一位保惠師,叫他永遠與你們同在……因他常與你們同在,也要在你們裏面。」約翰福音十四章16、17節 我們通常想到主耶穌內住的應許,因基督清清楚楚地說:「你們要常在我裏面,我也常在你們裏面。」「常在我的愛裏。」(約十五章)這些「常在」、內住之意的應許,為聖靈在我們心中證明及實現。我們再看一次這段經文,基督內住在我們心裏,我們在祂裏面——「你們在我裏面,我也在你們裏面」——一同依靠在聖靈的內住,所以我們領悟聖靈永遠內住是最重要的課題。 我們唯一能做的,就是每天在永遠內住的聖靈裏,藉著更新、無罪的信心來朝見神,這位保惠師是當耶穌無法以肉身與門徒同在時來遞補祂的地位,在任何時候以屬天的安慰來安慰我們。藉著聖靈,耶穌住在我們心裏,賜給我們生活有力量,教導我們使我們靠祂行事;這是屬於我們的應許。自然我們天天在基督裏與神親近,如此就能重新得力,去影響並賜福別人。 哦!我的弟兄!把今天獻給三而一的神,花時間去敬拜父神和基督,把自己完全交託給聖靈,讓他管理,讓祂在你身上完成那大工,使基督內住在你裏面。

七月六日 異象與真實 「乾渴之地,要變為泉源。」以賽亞書卅五章7節 異象是事件未有實現之前而有的,雖然我們感覺得異象是真實的,而它未在我們身上成為真實,撒但還得要來試探我們說,這個異象是不能成為事實的。不但異象未變成真實,反而陷於失敗於悲慘。 生命不像露出土面的礦石, 是從地心掘出來的生鐵, 因命運之坎坷的錘打, 變成熟鐵以致用。 神給與我們異象,而後領我們下到谷中,把我們錘合異象之形。惟其我們陷入了深谷,因此我們之中有許多人灰心而喪志。如果我們具有忍耐之心,無論甚麼異象都得以實現。想想神的閒暇悠餘!祂從不慌忙。我們總是慌忙的,我們要藉著異象的光榮,出去工作。但是異象在我們裡頭還未實現;神要領我們到深谷之中,使我們經過水火,錘成物形,直到我們達到祂能將真實交託我們的地步。自我們有異象以來,神曾經工作過,把我們造成理想的物形,但是我們屢想逃出祂的掌握,把自己錘成自己所喜歡的樣式。 異象不是空洞的幻象,是神要你達到的理想。惟願你讓神將你放在祂的模型之中,隨祂的意思轉動你,把你鑄成異象一樣的模形,可是在過程中,不要喪膽,如果你曾見過神的異象,必樂於在較低的平線上求滿足,可是神絕不許你如此。

七月六日 「若是一家的人太少,喫不了一隻羊羔,本人就要和他隔壁的鄰舍共取一隻……要按著人數……計算。」出埃及記十二章4節 「若是一家的人太少,喫不了一隻羊羔。」這對我們這些已經得贖的人來說,有什麼意義呢?這表示我們沒有權利獨佔救主的寶血。而如果我們自私、不誠實、不感恩;只滿足於已有的救恩,卻不為失去永生的靈魂著想,那麼我們就有罪了。我們是否已經瞭解這個真理,是否能與他人分享主耶穌——我們的代罪羔羊? 到底哪些人是我們應該分享神羔羊的鄰居呢?經上是說隔壁的鄰居,也就是與我們接觸最多的人。有時神會讓我們遇到某些人,為要使我們成為祂恩典的管家。所以我們家中的親人、旅行的夥伴、社交圈子裡的朋友以及同事,都是我們的鄰居,我們對他們都有屬靈的責任。試問:我們是否已經盡心竭力了呢? 主啊!您既然愛我, 又為我這個罪人釘死, 我真應該為那些失喪的靈魂多想想。 只要是為您的緣故,我願作福音的使者。
