1:2 正如先知以賽亞〔有古卷沒有以賽亞三個字〕書上記著說：看哪，我要差遣我的使者在你前面，預備道路。 It is written in Isaiah the prophet:<<I will send my messenger ahead of you, who will prepare your way>> \f2 1:2 Mal. 3:1)-- 1:3 在曠野有人聲喊著說：預備主的道，修直他的路。 <<a voice of one calling in the desert, <Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for him.> >> \f3 1:3 Isaiah 40:3) 1:4 照這話，約翰來了，在曠野施洗，傳悔改的洗禮，使罪得赦。 And so John came, baptizing in the desert region and preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins. 1:5 猶太全地和耶路撒冷的人都出去到約翰那裏，承認他們的罪，在約旦河裏受他的洗。 The whole Judean countryside and all the people of Jerusalem went out to him. Confessing their sins, they were baptized by him in the Jordan River. 1:6 約翰穿駱駝毛的衣服，腰束皮帶，吃的是蝗蟲、野蜜。 John wore clothing made of camel's hair, with a leather belt around his waist, and he ate locusts and wild honey. 1:7 他傳道說：「有一位在我以後來的，能力比我更大，我就是彎腰給他解鞋帶也是不配的。 And this was his message: <<After me will come one more powerful than I, the thongs of whose sandals I am not worthy to stoop down and untie. 1:8 我是用水給你們施洗，他卻要用聖靈給你們施洗。」 I baptize you with (\f4 1:8 Or|i in|d)water, but he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit.>> 1:9 那時，耶穌從加利利的拿撒勒來，在約旦河裏受了約翰的洗。 At that time Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan. 1:10 他從水裏一上來，就看見天裂開了，聖靈彷彿鴿子，降在他身上。 As Jesus was coming up out of the water, he saw heaven being torn open and the Spirit descending on him like a dove. 1:11 又有聲音從天上來，說：「你是我的愛子，我喜悅你。」 And a voice came from heaven: <<You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased.>> 1:12 聖靈就把耶穌催到曠野裏去。 At once the Spirit sent him out into the desert, 1:13 他在曠野四十天，受撒但的試探，並與野獸同在一處，且有天使來伺候他。 and he was in the desert forty days, being tempted by Satan. He was with the wild animals, and angels attended him. 1:14 約翰下監以後，耶穌來到加利利，宣傳 神的福音， After John was put in prison, Jesus went into Galilee, proclaiming the good news of God. 1:15 說：「日期滿了， 神的國近了。你們當悔改，信福音！」 <<The time has come,>> he said. <<The kingdom of God is near. Repent and believe the good news!>> 1:16 耶穌順著加利利的海邊走，看見西門和西門的兄弟安得烈在海邊撒網；他們本是打魚的。 As Jesus walked beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and his brother Andrew casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. 1:17 耶穌對他們說：「來跟從我，我要叫你們得人如得魚一樣。」 <<Come, follow me,>> Jesus said, <<and I will make you fishers of men.>> 1:18 他們就立刻捨了網，跟從了他。 At once they left their nets and followed him. 1:19 耶穌稍往前走，又見西庇太的兒子雅各和雅各的兄弟約翰在船上補網。 When he had gone a little farther, he saw James son of Zebedee and his brother John in a boat, preparing their nets. 1:20 耶穌隨即招呼他們，他們就把父親西庇太和雇工人留在船上，跟從耶穌去了。 Without delay he called them, and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired men and followed him. 1:21 到了迦百農，耶穌就在安息日進了會堂教訓人。 They went to Capernaum, and when the Sabbath came, Jesus went into the synagogue and began to teach. 1:22 眾人很希奇他的教訓；因為他教訓他們，正像有權柄的人，不像文士。 The people were amazed at his teaching, because he taught them as one who had authority, not as the teachers of the law. 1:23 在會堂裏，有一個人被污鬼附著。他喊叫說： Just then a man in their synagogue who was possessed by an evil (\f5 1:23 Greek|i unclean|d; also in verses 26 and 27)spirit cried out, 1:24 「拿撒勒人耶穌，我們與你有甚麼相干？你來滅我們嗎？我知道你是誰，乃是 神的聖者。」 <<What do you want with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are--the Holy One of God!>> 1:25 耶穌責備他說：「不要作聲！從這人身上出來吧。」 <<Be quiet!>> said Jesus sternly. <<Come out of him!>> 1:26 污鬼叫那人抽了一陣瘋，大聲喊叫，就出來了。 The evil spirit shook the man violently and came out of him with a shriek. 1:27 眾人都驚訝，以致彼此對問說：「這是甚麼事？是個新道理啊！他用權柄吩咐污鬼，連污鬼也聽從了他。」 The people were all so amazed that they asked each other, <<What is this? A new teaching--and with authority! He even gives orders to evil spirits and they obey him.>> 1:28 耶穌的名聲就傳遍了加利利的四方。 News about him spread quickly over the whole region of Galilee. 1:29 他們一出會堂，就同著雅各、約翰，進了西門和安得烈的家。 As soon as they left the synagogue, they went with James and John to the home of Simon and Andrew. 1:30 西門的岳母正害熱病躺著，就有人告訴耶穌。 Simon's mother-in-law was in bed with a fever, and they told Jesus about her. 1:31 耶穌進前拉著她的手，扶她起來，熱就退了，她就服事他們。 So he went to her, took her hand and helped her up. The fever left her and she began to wait on them. 1:32 天晚日落的時候，有人帶著一切害病的，和被鬼附的，來到耶穌跟前。 That evening after sunset the people brought to Jesus all the sick and demon-possessed. 1:33 合城的人都聚集在門前。 The whole town gathered at the door, 1:34 耶穌治好了許多害各樣病的人，又趕出許多鬼，不許鬼說話，因為鬼認識他。 and Jesus healed many who had various diseases. He also drove out many demons, but he would not let the demons speak because they knew who he was. 1:35 次日早晨，天未亮的時候，耶穌起來，到曠野地方去，在那裏禱告。 Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed. 1:36 西門和同伴追了他去， Simon and his companions went to look for him, 1:37 遇見了就對他說：「眾人都找你。」 and when they found him, they exclaimed: <<Everyone is looking for you!>> 1:38 耶穌對他們說：「我們可以往別處去，到鄰近的鄉村，我也好在那裏傳道，因為我是為這事出來的。」 Jesus replied, <<Let us go somewhere else--to the nearby villages--so I can preach there also. That is why I have come.>> 1:39 於是在加利利全地，進了會堂，傳道，趕鬼。 So he traveled throughout Galilee, preaching in their synagogues and driving out demons. 1:40 有一個長大痲瘋的來求耶穌，向他跪下，說：「你若肯，必能叫我潔淨了。」 A man with leprosy (\f6 1:40 The Greek word was used for various diseases affecting the skin--not necessarily leprosy.)came to him and begged him on his knees, <<If you are willing, you can make me clean.>> 1:41 耶穌動了慈心，就伸手摸他，說：「我肯，你潔淨了吧！」 Filled with compassion, Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. <<I am willing,>> he said. <<Be clean!>> 1:42 大痲瘋即時離開他，他就潔淨了。 Immediately the leprosy left him and he was cured. 1:43 耶穌嚴嚴的囑咐他，就打發他走， Jesus sent him away at once with a strong warning: 1:44 對他說：「你要謹慎，甚麼話都不可告訴人，只要去把身體給祭司察看，又因為你潔淨了，獻上摩西所吩咐的禮物，對眾人作證據。」 <<See that you don't tell this to anyone. But go, show yourself to the priest and offer the sacrifices that Moses commanded for your cleansing, as a testimony to them.>> 1:45 那人出去，倒說了許多的話，把這件事傳揚開了，叫耶穌以後不得再明明的進城，只好在外邊曠野地方。人從各處都就了他來。 Instead he went out and began to talk freely, spreading the news. As a result, Jesus could no longer enter a town openly but stayed outside in lonely places. Yet the people still came to him from everywhere. 二月廿七日 「只勝了雅各一人；有一個人來和他摔跤，直到黎明。」創世記卅二章24節 剩下一人！我們各人對於這四個字都有不同的感覺。有人剩下一人時感覺何等孤單、寂寞；也有人剩下一人時感覺幽靜、可得安息。總之，剩下一人而沒有神同在，是太淒涼的事；剩下一人而有主同在的話，是預嘗天上的光景！如果神的兒女能多和祂單獨接觸，我們都要變作屬靈的偉人了。 我們的主給我們作了一個榜樣。多少次數祂獨自去單獨親近神；祂吩咐我們「你禱告的時候，要進你的內屋，關上門。」（太六6）的目的，乃是要我們單獨親近神。 以利亞和以利沙最大的神蹟，乃是在他們單獨親近神的時候出現的。雅各在單獨親近神的時候，成為一個王子。（以色列的意思就是王子）。約書亞在單獨親近神的時候，得到勝利的把握。基甸和耶弗他在單獨親近神的時候，得到神的遣徵。摩西獨自在曠野中的時候，看見神的異象。哥尼流在獨自禱告的時候，看見天使。彼得獨自在房頂上與神單獨接觸的時候，受神托付到外邦人中去。施洗約翰獨自住在曠野；耶穌所愛的門徒約翰獨自在拔摩海鳥上，孤單中他最接近神，所以得到了神最大的啟示。 讓我們渴慕單獨和神親近。如果我們把這件事情忽略了，我們就要失去樹和枝子的交通、能力，以及天上各樣屬靈的福氣。這是何等大的損失呢？並且我們不但剝奪了自己的祝福，也剝奪了別人的祝福，因為在我們自己得到祝福的時候，我們纔能帶祝福給別人。單獨親近神也許要減少我們外面的工作；但是單獨親近神會給我們更大的能力；結果，我們就會「不見一人，只見耶穌在那裏。」（太十七8）

February 27 "And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day."(Gen. 32:24.) ＬEFT alone! What different sensations those words conjure up to each of us. To some they spell loneliness and desolation, to others rest and quiet. To be left alone without God, would be too awful for words, but to be left alone with Him is a foretaste of Heaven! If His followers spent more time alone with Him, we should have spiritual giants again. The Master set us an example. Note how often He went to be alone with God; and He had a mighty purpose behind the command, "When thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray." The greatest miracles of Elijah and Elisha took place when they were alone with God. It was alone with God that Jacob became a prince; and just there that we, too, may become princes─"men (aye, and women too!) wondered at" (Zech. 3:8). Joshua was alone when the Lord came to him. (Josh. 1:1.) Gideon and Jephthah were by themselves when commissioned to save Israel. (Judges 6:11 and 11:29.) Moses was by himself at the wilderness bush. (Exodus 3:1-5.) Cornelius was praying by himself when the angel came to him. (Acts 10:2.) No one was with Peter on the house top, when he was instructed to go to the Gentiles. (Acts 10:9.) John the Baptist was alone in the wilderness (Luke 1:80), and John the Beloved alone in Patmos, when nearest God. (Rev. 1:9.) Covet to get alone with God. If we neglect it, we not only rob ourselves, but others too, of blessing, since when we are blessed we are able to pass on blessing to others. It may mean less outside work; it must mean more depth and power, and the consequence, too, will be "they saw no man save Jesus only."

二月廿七日 神的榮耀 「但願祂……得著榮耀，直到世世代代、永永遠遠。」以弗所書三章21節 神自己必須將祂的榮耀先啟示給我們，只有這樣，我們才能正確地認識祂並榮耀祂。 在大自然裡，沒有一種奇異的形像，比星光燦爛的天空更能述說神的榮耀。因著望遠鏡的發達，天文學家早就宣佈了神在宇宙中的各樣奇事；並且又因天文攝影的方法，發現了許多新奇的領域。一塊照相的感光片，放在天文望遠鏡底下，可以照出千萬個用最好的望遠鏡所不能看見的眾星。人必須站在一邊，讓諸天彰顯它自己的榮耀；原先不能看見的遙遠眾星，現在就能將他們的影像留在底片上了。 我們渴慕在神的話裡看見祂的榮耀，這是一個何等重要的功課。請將你自己的努力放一邊，讓你的心像照相的底片一樣，等候神來啟示祂的榮耀；而這底片必須是清潔預備好了的。讓你的心藉著神的靈，也蒙預備得潔淨：「清心的人有福了，因為他們必得見神。」底片必須不動，你的心也要安靜在神面前。底片有時為著感光要暴露七八個鐘點，以便接受最遠的星完全的印象；你的心也要多花時間安靜地等候神，祂必啟示祂的榮耀。 如果你安靜在神面前，給祂時間，祂就要將意念放在你的心裡，這對於你自己和別人，也許是不可言喻的祝福。祂要在你裡面造出渴慕和傾向祂的心，正像祂榮耀的光線，照著你一樣。 今天早晨就學習這一個。在極深的謙卑裡，獻上你的靈，並且相信神要在祂聖潔的愛裡，啟示祂自己。祂的榮耀要降臨在你的身上。你自己也要覺得需要給祂夠多的時間，以便讓祂作祝福的工作。 「惟耶和華在祂的聖殿中，全地的人都當在祂面前肅敬靜默。」（哈二20）「我的心哪，你當默默無聲，專等候神，因為我的盼望是從祂而來。」（詩六二5）「神已經照在我們心裡，叫我們得知神榮耀的光，顯在耶穌基督的面上。」（林後四6）「要休息，要知道我是神。」（詩四六10）
■ 中文屬天日子（02月27日）
二月廿七日 耶穌的事工被人限制了 「你從那裡得活水呢？」約翰福音四章11節 「井又深」──比撒瑪利亞婦人所知道的深得多！想想人性和人生的深度，想想你裡面「井」的深度。你曾經限制了耶穌的事工，叫祂不能做甚麼？設使在你心裡面有憂慮之井，而耶穌來對你說：「你們心裡不要憂愁；」你必聳聳你的肩，回答說：「但是，主啊，井又深；你不能從它取出平靜和安慰來。」不必這樣，祂能從上面帶下來。耶穌不能從人性的井裡取出甚麼來。我們根據以往的經驗說：「當然，我不能盼望神做這件事」，這便是限制了神。只有那全能者能把這事做成功。就是這件事我們為門徒者應當相信祂要做成功的。我們一忘記祂是全能的，就限制了祂的事工，這種限制是在我們，不在祂。我們肯說耶穌，把祂當為安慰者或同情者，並不肯把祂當為全能者。 我們有些人成為基督教的可憐的標本，正因為我們沒有全能的基督。我們有基督的屬性和經驗，只是沒有完全歸於耶穌基督。當我們陷於困難的境遇，我們就會這麼說──「自然，祂不能做甚麼，」還是我們自己下到深處，為自己取水吧！當心以沉入為滿足，反說：「這是做不到的。」你當知道，如果你仰望耶穌，那是能做到的。你的那口不完全的井雖深，但是致力於祂，仰望於祂是有辦法的。

二月廿七日 「……必要親自成全你們，堅固你們，賜力量給你們。」彼得前書五章10節 當我們與基督建立友誼時，首先在心理上，我們必須有足夠的知識亮光來滿足我們，使我們肯定我們有資格與主做朋友。因為我們心中若有一絲的疑問，就會使我們失去信心。我們既明白這個道理，就應該下定決心、做個選擇。而那個決心必須像樹得種在土裡，新娘必須走到證婚壇前一樣確定。當我們下決心時，我們應該堅決地、毫無保留、絕不後悔地做這個決定。 在友誼成長的過程中，難免會有一段不穩、考驗的時期，直到這友誼逐漸變得堅固，如同永恆的關係。這就像外科醫師必須使用夾板來固定病人折斷的手臂，使斷的部份不致移動，直到骨頭再度長合起來。我們的神也使用屬靈的夾板，使祂的兒女能安靜、不致動搖，直到他們走過信心的第一階段。 也許這並不容易，但是請記得「那賜諸般恩典的神，曾在基督裡召你們，得享他永遠的榮耀，等你們暫受苦難之後，必要親自成全你們，堅固你們，賜力量給你們。」(彼前五10)
