馬可福音, 1章

^1:1 神的兒子，耶穌基督福音的起頭。 The beginning of the gospel about Jesus Christ, the Son of God. (\f1 1:1 Some manuscripts do not have|i the Son of God|d.)
^1:2 正如先知以賽亞〔有古卷沒有以賽亞三個字〕書上記著說：看哪，我要差遣我的使者在你前面，預備道路。 It is written in Isaiah the prophet:<<I will send my messenger ahead of you, who will prepare your way>> \f2 1:2 Mal. 3:1)--
^1:3 在曠野有人聲喊著說：預備主的道，修直他的路。 <<a voice of one calling in the desert, <Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for him.> >> \f3 1:3 Isaiah 40:3)
^1:4 照這話，約翰來了，在曠野施洗，傳悔改的洗禮，使罪得赦。 And so John came, baptizing in the desert region and preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins.
^1:5 猶太全地和耶路撒冷的人都出去到約翰那裏，承認他們的罪，在約旦河裏受他的洗。 The whole Judean countryside and all the people of Jerusalem went out to him. Confessing their sins, they were baptized by him in the Jordan River.
^1:6 約翰穿駱駝毛的衣服，腰束皮帶，吃的是蝗蟲、野蜜。 John wore clothing made of camel's hair, with a leather belt around his waist, and he ate locusts and wild honey.
^1:7 他傳道說：「有一位在我以後來的，能力比我更大，我就是彎腰給他解鞋帶也是不配的。 And this was his message: <<After me will come one more powerful than I, the thongs of whose sandals I am not worthy to stoop down and untie.
^1:8 我是用水給你們施洗，他卻要用聖靈給你們施洗。」 I baptize you with (\f4 1:8 Or|i in|d)water, but he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit.>>
^1:9 那時，耶穌從加利利的拿撒勒來，在約旦河裏受了約翰的洗。 At that time Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan.
^1:10 他從水裏一上來，就看見天裂開了，聖靈彷彿鴿子，降在他身上。 As Jesus was coming up out of the water, he saw heaven being torn open and the Spirit descending on him like a dove.
^1:11 又有聲音從天上來，說：「你是我的愛子，我喜悅你。」 And a voice came from heaven: <<You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased.>>
^1:12 聖靈就把耶穌催到曠野裏去。 At once the Spirit sent him out into the desert,
^1:13 他在曠野四十天，受撒但的試探，並與野獸同在一處，且有天使來伺候他。 and he was in the desert forty days, being tempted by Satan. He was with the wild animals, and angels attended him.
^1:14 約翰下監以後，耶穌來到加利利，宣傳　神的福音， After John was put in prison, Jesus went into Galilee, proclaiming the good news of God.
^1:15 說：「日期滿了，　神的國近了。你們當悔改，信福音！」 <<The time has come,>> he said. <<The kingdom of God is near. Repent and believe the good news!>>
^1:16 耶穌順著加利利的海邊走，看見西門和西門的兄弟安得烈在海邊撒網；他們本是打魚的。 As Jesus walked beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and his brother Andrew casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen.
^1:17 耶穌對他們說：「來跟從我，我要叫你們得人如得魚一樣。」 <<Come, follow me,>> Jesus said, <<and I will make you fishers of men.>>
^1:18 他們就立刻捨了網，跟從了他。 At once they left their nets and followed him.
^1:19 耶穌稍往前走，又見西庇太的兒子雅各和雅各的兄弟約翰在船上補網。 When he had gone a little farther, he saw James son of Zebedee and his brother John in a boat, preparing their nets.
^1:20 耶穌隨即招呼他們，他們就把父親西庇太和雇工人留在船上，跟從耶穌去了。 Without delay he called them, and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired men and followed him.
^1:21 到了迦百農，耶穌就在安息日進了會堂教訓人。 They went to Capernaum, and when the Sabbath came, Jesus went into the synagogue and began to teach.
^1:22 眾人很希奇他的教訓；因為他教訓他們，正像有權柄的人，不像文士。 The people were amazed at his teaching, because he taught them as one who had authority, not as the teachers of the law.
^1:23 在會堂裏，有一個人被污鬼附著。他喊叫說： Just then a man in their synagogue who was possessed by an evil (\f5 1:23 Greek|i unclean|d; also in verses 26 and 27)spirit cried out,
^1:24 「拿撒勒人耶穌，我們與你有甚麼相干？你來滅我們嗎？我知道你是誰，乃是　神的聖者。」 <<What do you want with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are--the Holy One of God!>>
^1:25 耶穌責備他說：「不要作聲！從這人身上出來吧。」 <<Be quiet!>> said Jesus sternly. <<Come out of him!>>
^1:26 污鬼叫那人抽了一陣瘋，大聲喊叫，就出來了。 The evil spirit shook the man violently and came out of him with a shriek.
^1:27 眾人都驚訝，以致彼此對問說：「這是甚麼事？是個新道理啊！他用權柄吩咐污鬼，連污鬼也聽從了他。」 The people were all so amazed that they asked each other, <<What is this? A new teaching--and with authority! He even gives orders to evil spirits and they obey him.>>
^1:28 耶穌的名聲就傳遍了加利利的四方。 News about him spread quickly over the whole region of Galilee.
^1:29 他們一出會堂，就同著雅各、約翰，進了西門和安得烈的家。 As soon as they left the synagogue, they went with James and John to the home of Simon and Andrew.
^1:30 西門的岳母正害熱病躺著，就有人告訴耶穌。 Simon's mother-in-law was in bed with a fever, and they told Jesus about her.
^1:31 耶穌進前拉著她的手，扶她起來，熱就退了，她就服事他們。 So he went to her, took her hand and helped her up. The fever left her and she began to wait on them.
^1:32 天晚日落的時候，有人帶著一切害病的，和被鬼附的，來到耶穌跟前。 That evening after sunset the people brought to Jesus all the sick and demon-possessed.
^1:33 合城的人都聚集在門前。 The whole town gathered at the door,
^1:34 耶穌治好了許多害各樣病的人，又趕出許多鬼，不許鬼說話，因為鬼認識他。 and Jesus healed many who had various diseases. He also drove out many demons, but he would not let the demons speak because they knew who he was.
^1:35 次日早晨，天未亮的時候，耶穌起來，到曠野地方去，在那裏禱告。 Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed.
^1:36 西門和同伴追了他去， Simon and his companions went to look for him,
^1:37 遇見了就對他說：「眾人都找你。」 and when they found him, they exclaimed: <<Everyone is looking for you!>>
^1:38 耶穌對他們說：「我們可以往別處去，到鄰近的鄉村，我也好在那裏傳道，因為我是為這事出來的。」 Jesus replied, <<Let us go somewhere else--to the nearby villages--so I can preach there also. That is why I have come.>>
^1:39 於是在加利利全地，進了會堂，傳道，趕鬼。 So he traveled throughout Galilee, preaching in their synagogues and driving out demons.
^1:40 有一個長大痲瘋的來求耶穌，向他跪下，說：「你若肯，必能叫我潔淨了。」 A man with leprosy (\f6 1:40 The Greek word was used for various diseases affecting the skin--not necessarily leprosy.)came to him and begged him on his knees, <<If you are willing, you can make me clean.>>
^1:41 耶穌動了慈心，就伸手摸他，說：「我肯，你潔淨了吧！」 Filled with compassion, Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. <<I am willing,>> he said. <<Be clean!>>
^1:42 大痲瘋即時離開他，他就潔淨了。 Immediately the leprosy left him and he was cured.
^1:43 耶穌嚴嚴的囑咐他，就打發他走， Jesus sent him away at once with a strong warning:
^1:44 對他說：「你要謹慎，甚麼話都不可告訴人，只要去把身體給祭司察看，又因為你潔淨了，獻上摩西所吩咐的禮物，對眾人作證據。」 <<See that you don't tell this to anyone. But go, show yourself to the priest and offer the sacrifices that Moses commanded for your cleansing, as a testimony to them.>>
^1:45 那人出去，倒說了許多的話，把這件事傳揚開了，叫耶穌以後不得再明明的進城，只好在外邊曠野地方。人從各處都就了他來。 Instead he went out and began to talk freely, spreading the news. As a result, Jesus could no longer enter a town openly but stayed outside in lonely places. Yet the people still came to him from everywhere.

八月八日「神阿，您是我的主。求您出令使雅各得勝。」詩篇四四篇4節親愛的讀者，你應當知道：當你在恩典中長進的時候，你就會遭遇到許多仇敵；但是這些仇敵都是主的戰利品。你用不著怕他們。你一碰他們，他們就會在面前逃跑。神已經允許將他們交在你手裏了。你應當剛強、勇敢！不要懼怕，也不要驚慌！神是與你同在的，大能的勇士啊—─你是大能的，因為與你同在者是大能的。前去奪取勝利罷！甚麼時候你的仇敵前來圍困你，你應當奪取勝利！甚麼時候你的肉體衰弱了，你還當仰望神來奪取勝利！你要知道：在主耶穌的勝利裏面，你也是有一份的，因為祂不是單替自己得勝，乃是替眾信徒得勝；你要記得，當祂得勝的時候，你是在祂裏面，所以在祂得勝的時候，你就已經得勝了。你應當承認：勝利已經屬於你了，起來收集戰利品罷。不論亞衲人，不論堅固城，都不足以威嚇你。你是一支戰勝的軍隊。在主的勝利裏面去奪取你的一份罷。　　　　　　　　　　─梅爾我們是君王的孩子。我們怎樣纔能加增我們至尊元首的榮譽呢？還是不敢索取我們的權利，甚至懷疑這些權利是否屬於我們的呢，還是堅持我們皇室的特權，大膽前去索取我們承繼的權利呢？

August 8 "Thou art my king, O God: Command deliverance (victories, margin) for Jacob." (Psalm 44:4, R. V.) 　ＴHERE is no foe to your growth in grace, no enemy in your Christian work, which was not included in your Savior's conquests. 　You need not be afraid of them. When you touch them, they will flee before you. God has promised to deliver them up before you. Only be strong and very courageous! Fear not, nor be dismayed! The Lord is with you, O mighty men of valor-mighty because one with the Mightiest. Claim victory! 　Whenever your enemies close in upon you, claim victory! Whenever heart and flesh fail, look up and claim VICTORY! 　Be sure that you have a share in that triumph which Jesus won, not for Himself alone, but for us all; remember that you were in Him when He won it, and claim victory! 　Reckon that it is yours, and gather spoil. Neither the Anakim nor fenced cities need daunt or abash you. You are one of the conquering legion. In which way do we most honor our Divine Sovereign, by failing to claim our rights and even doubting whether they belong to us, or by asserting our privilege as children of the Royal Family and demanding the rights which belong to our heirship?

■ 永活之泉（08月08日）

八月八日　不能做我的門徒「人到我這裏來，若不恨……自己的性命，就不能作我的門徒。凡不背著自己十字架跟從我的，也就不能作我的門徒。……你們無論什麼人，若不撇下一切所有的，就不能作我的門徒。」路加福音四章26—33節當基督第三次說到十字架時，祂說出其中新的意義，是恨自己的性命和撇下一切所有的。祂三次說到，若不如此就不能作祂的門徒。「人若不恨自己的性命」，為什麼基督要對門徒開出如何嚴格的條件？因為我們從亞當所繼承的生命，實在是污穢和滿了罪惡；我們的眼睛若只看到真實的本性，就能逃避令人討厭、無可救藥的惡。「肉體是與神為敵」，若不恨己，則影響全人的「舊人」就不能找到神；只有恨自己的生命才能背十字架、治死內在惡的本性。如果我們準備治死老舊的本性，必須恨惡這致命的舊生命。基督又加上若無「不撇下一切所有」的特性，「就不能做我的門徒」；基督捨棄所有的，以致滿足每位需要者，祂所捨的超過我們千百倍之上，這使我們因信心，自覺認識基督並且愛祂，從祂領受格外充足，能滿足我們不朽的靈。完全順服是何等的困難，卻也是我們最高的特權，當我們真正認識基督，就會不惜拋棄一切去認識我主耶穌基督。當我在這條跟隨祂的道路上，會使我們學會更愛祂、撇下一切，甚至捨棄生命也在所不惜，以迎接祂內住心中，因祂比萬有更多。

■ 中文屬天日子（08月08日）

八月八日　為父的尊榮祈求「所要生的聖者，必稱為神的兒子。」路加福音一章35節如果神的兒子在我的肉體裡面，祂的聖潔，天真和與父的合一性，便得著了機會彰顯在我裡面麼？神的兒子，藉著童女馬利亞誕生人間在每個聖徒裡面也是這樣。神的兒子藉著神降生在我裡面；那麼，就神兒女的資格而論，我有行使兒女的權利了，這權利就是與父面對面的權利。我常帶著驚訝的神情向我的理性說：「你為甚麼不許我做這件事呢？你豈不知我要以我的事為念麼？」無論環境如何，那聖潔無疵，永生之子必與祂的父聯合為一。我的單純足以使我與主合而為一麼？祂在我裡面獲得奇妙的進展麼？神把祂的兒子形成在我裡面呢？還是我審慎躊躇的將祂棄置一旁呢？唉！這實在是現代的哀求！人人的哀求──為著甚麼呢？為的是神的兒子處了死刑。此時此地沒有神兒子的地位，也沒有與父發生寂靜聖潔契合的地方。是神兒子在我裡面祈求，或是我自己照自己的意思祈求呢？祂是藉著我服務，像祂活在世上的日子一樣麼？是神的兒子在我裡面，為自己的目的，經歷苦難麼？一個人愈知神聖徒內心生活，愈能知道神的目的何在──「要在我肉身上補滿基督患難的缺欠。」（西一24）「補滿」的意思，是表示有所要做的事。

八月八日「……若有人在話語上沒有過失，他就是完全人，也能勒住自己的全身。」雅各書三章2節言語是人與低等動物相差最大的一點，能以有聲的言語以及有形的文字來表達思想的力量，乃是理性動物最高的特權。一個人的言語可說是他性格最大的考驗。正如雅各所說：「若有人自以為虔誠，卻不勒住他的舌頭，反欺哄自己的心，這人的虔誠是虛的。」(雅一26)因為一個無法控制得住的舌頭，乃是不聖潔的記號。相反的，「若有人在話語上沒有過失，他就是完全人，也能勒住自己的全身。」因為這表示此人乃在自己良心、意志和聖靈的管理之下。這可說是最能考驗一個人內心的方法。摩西曾因發怨言而失去了進應許之地的機會。如果他能把話吞回肚子裡去，他一定會這麼做，可是一切都太晚了。儘管他被神接到天上，他卻無法親自帶領以色列民族進入迦南美地。許多具極大潛力的人，都因為一張爛舌頭而毀了他們的一生。我們的談吐實在是決定我們性格，以及是否具影響力的一個重要要素。這也是為什麼主耶穌說：「……凡人所說的閒話，當審判的日子，必要句句供出來。因為憑你的話，定你為義，也要憑你的話，定你有罪。」(太十二36—37)
