馬可福音, 1章

^1:1 神的兒子，耶穌基督福音的起頭。 The beginning of the gospel about Jesus Christ, the Son of God. (\f1 1:1 Some manuscripts do not have|i the Son of God|d.)
^1:2 正如先知以賽亞〔有古卷沒有以賽亞三個字〕書上記著說：看哪，我要差遣我的使者在你前面，預備道路。 It is written in Isaiah the prophet:<<I will send my messenger ahead of you, who will prepare your way>> \f2 1:2 Mal. 3:1)--
^1:3 在曠野有人聲喊著說：預備主的道，修直他的路。 <<a voice of one calling in the desert, <Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for him.> >> \f3 1:3 Isaiah 40:3)
^1:4 照這話，約翰來了，在曠野施洗，傳悔改的洗禮，使罪得赦。 And so John came, baptizing in the desert region and preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins.
^1:5 猶太全地和耶路撒冷的人都出去到約翰那裏，承認他們的罪，在約旦河裏受他的洗。 The whole Judean countryside and all the people of Jerusalem went out to him. Confessing their sins, they were baptized by him in the Jordan River.
^1:6 約翰穿駱駝毛的衣服，腰束皮帶，吃的是蝗蟲、野蜜。 John wore clothing made of camel's hair, with a leather belt around his waist, and he ate locusts and wild honey.
^1:7 他傳道說：「有一位在我以後來的，能力比我更大，我就是彎腰給他解鞋帶也是不配的。 And this was his message: <<After me will come one more powerful than I, the thongs of whose sandals I am not worthy to stoop down and untie.
^1:8 我是用水給你們施洗，他卻要用聖靈給你們施洗。」 I baptize you with (\f4 1:8 Or|i in|d)water, but he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit.>>
^1:9 那時，耶穌從加利利的拿撒勒來，在約旦河裏受了約翰的洗。 At that time Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan.
^1:10 他從水裏一上來，就看見天裂開了，聖靈彷彿鴿子，降在他身上。 As Jesus was coming up out of the water, he saw heaven being torn open and the Spirit descending on him like a dove.
^1:11 又有聲音從天上來，說：「你是我的愛子，我喜悅你。」 And a voice came from heaven: <<You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased.>>
^1:12 聖靈就把耶穌催到曠野裏去。 At once the Spirit sent him out into the desert,
^1:13 他在曠野四十天，受撒但的試探，並與野獸同在一處，且有天使來伺候他。 and he was in the desert forty days, being tempted by Satan. He was with the wild animals, and angels attended him.
^1:14 約翰下監以後，耶穌來到加利利，宣傳　神的福音， After John was put in prison, Jesus went into Galilee, proclaiming the good news of God.
^1:15 說：「日期滿了，　神的國近了。你們當悔改，信福音！」 <<The time has come,>> he said. <<The kingdom of God is near. Repent and believe the good news!>>
^1:16 耶穌順著加利利的海邊走，看見西門和西門的兄弟安得烈在海邊撒網；他們本是打魚的。 As Jesus walked beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and his brother Andrew casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen.
^1:17 耶穌對他們說：「來跟從我，我要叫你們得人如得魚一樣。」 <<Come, follow me,>> Jesus said, <<and I will make you fishers of men.>>
^1:18 他們就立刻捨了網，跟從了他。 At once they left their nets and followed him.
^1:19 耶穌稍往前走，又見西庇太的兒子雅各和雅各的兄弟約翰在船上補網。 When he had gone a little farther, he saw James son of Zebedee and his brother John in a boat, preparing their nets.
^1:20 耶穌隨即招呼他們，他們就把父親西庇太和雇工人留在船上，跟從耶穌去了。 Without delay he called them, and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired men and followed him.
^1:21 到了迦百農，耶穌就在安息日進了會堂教訓人。 They went to Capernaum, and when the Sabbath came, Jesus went into the synagogue and began to teach.
^1:22 眾人很希奇他的教訓；因為他教訓他們，正像有權柄的人，不像文士。 The people were amazed at his teaching, because he taught them as one who had authority, not as the teachers of the law.
^1:23 在會堂裏，有一個人被污鬼附著。他喊叫說： Just then a man in their synagogue who was possessed by an evil (\f5 1:23 Greek|i unclean|d; also in verses 26 and 27)spirit cried out,
^1:24 「拿撒勒人耶穌，我們與你有甚麼相干？你來滅我們嗎？我知道你是誰，乃是　神的聖者。」 <<What do you want with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are--the Holy One of God!>>
^1:25 耶穌責備他說：「不要作聲！從這人身上出來吧。」 <<Be quiet!>> said Jesus sternly. <<Come out of him!>>
^1:26 污鬼叫那人抽了一陣瘋，大聲喊叫，就出來了。 The evil spirit shook the man violently and came out of him with a shriek.
^1:27 眾人都驚訝，以致彼此對問說：「這是甚麼事？是個新道理啊！他用權柄吩咐污鬼，連污鬼也聽從了他。」 The people were all so amazed that they asked each other, <<What is this? A new teaching--and with authority! He even gives orders to evil spirits and they obey him.>>
^1:28 耶穌的名聲就傳遍了加利利的四方。 News about him spread quickly over the whole region of Galilee.
^1:29 他們一出會堂，就同著雅各、約翰，進了西門和安得烈的家。 As soon as they left the synagogue, they went with James and John to the home of Simon and Andrew.
^1:30 西門的岳母正害熱病躺著，就有人告訴耶穌。 Simon's mother-in-law was in bed with a fever, and they told Jesus about her.
^1:31 耶穌進前拉著她的手，扶她起來，熱就退了，她就服事他們。 So he went to her, took her hand and helped her up. The fever left her and she began to wait on them.
^1:32 天晚日落的時候，有人帶著一切害病的，和被鬼附的，來到耶穌跟前。 That evening after sunset the people brought to Jesus all the sick and demon-possessed.
^1:33 合城的人都聚集在門前。 The whole town gathered at the door,
^1:34 耶穌治好了許多害各樣病的人，又趕出許多鬼，不許鬼說話，因為鬼認識他。 and Jesus healed many who had various diseases. He also drove out many demons, but he would not let the demons speak because they knew who he was.
^1:35 次日早晨，天未亮的時候，耶穌起來，到曠野地方去，在那裏禱告。 Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed.
^1:36 西門和同伴追了他去， Simon and his companions went to look for him,
^1:37 遇見了就對他說：「眾人都找你。」 and when they found him, they exclaimed: <<Everyone is looking for you!>>
^1:38 耶穌對他們說：「我們可以往別處去，到鄰近的鄉村，我也好在那裏傳道，因為我是為這事出來的。」 Jesus replied, <<Let us go somewhere else--to the nearby villages--so I can preach there also. That is why I have come.>>
^1:39 於是在加利利全地，進了會堂，傳道，趕鬼。 So he traveled throughout Galilee, preaching in their synagogues and driving out demons.
^1:40 有一個長大痲瘋的來求耶穌，向他跪下，說：「你若肯，必能叫我潔淨了。」 A man with leprosy (\f6 1:40 The Greek word was used for various diseases affecting the skin--not necessarily leprosy.)came to him and begged him on his knees, <<If you are willing, you can make me clean.>>
^1:41 耶穌動了慈心，就伸手摸他，說：「我肯，你潔淨了吧！」 Filled with compassion, Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. <<I am willing,>> he said. <<Be clean!>>
^1:42 大痲瘋即時離開他，他就潔淨了。 Immediately the leprosy left him and he was cured.
^1:43 耶穌嚴嚴的囑咐他，就打發他走， Jesus sent him away at once with a strong warning:
^1:44 對他說：「你要謹慎，甚麼話都不可告訴人，只要去把身體給祭司察看，又因為你潔淨了，獻上摩西所吩咐的禮物，對眾人作證據。」 <<See that you don't tell this to anyone. But go, show yourself to the priest and offer the sacrifices that Moses commanded for your cleansing, as a testimony to them.>>
^1:45 那人出去，倒說了許多的話，把這件事傳揚開了，叫耶穌以後不得再明明的進城，只好在外邊曠野地方。人從各處都就了他來。 Instead he went out and began to talk freely, spreading the news. As a result, Jesus could no longer enter a town openly but stayed outside in lonely places. Yet the people still came to him from everywhere.

■ 中文荒漠甘泉（09月29日）

九月廿九日「我專心祈禱。」詩篇一○九篇4節我們禱告的時間常頂匆促、頂急忙。每天我們究竟花多少時間來禱告呢？豈不是很容易以分來計算─最多數分鐘，數十分鐘嗎？誰曾看見過一個靈界的偉人未曾花許多時間來禱告的呢？誰曾看見過一個被聖靈充滿的人未曾花許多時間專心在密室中的呢？華德飛（Whitefield）說：「數日數夜，甚至數星期，我平臥地上專心禱告——有時出聲，有時不出聲。」還有一位禱告有經驗的說：「雙膝跪下來，就在那裡長進。」他知道他所說的是甚麼。有人說，一個不喜愛單獨的人，決不能文學上或者科學上有所成功。屬靈的事情也是這樣，一個不常花長時間與神單獨親近的人，決不能在屬靈的事情上得到多大的長進。　　　　　　　　　　─譯自靜默的時候「來」，祂說：「苦惱和疲乏的人們」，　來到我荒漠的陰影中，體味溫存；跟著我遠離紛擾的人間，　平安像音樂似的會沁入你的靈魂。

September 29 "I will myself unto prayer." (Psalm 109:4) 　ＷE are often in a religious hurry in our devotions. How much time do we spend in them daily? Can it not be easily reckoned in minutes? Who ever knew an eminently holy man who did not spend much of his time in prayer? Did ever a man exhibit much of the spirit of prayer, who did not devote much time in his closet? 　Whitefield says, "Whole days and weeks have I spent prostrate on the ground, in silent or vocal prayer." "Fall upon your knees and grow there," is the language of another, who knew whereof he affirmed. 　It has been said that no great work in literature or science was ever wrought by a man who did not love solitude. We may lay it down as an elemental principle of religion, that no large growth in holiness was ever gained by one who did not take time to be often, and long, alone with God. 　　　　　　　　　　─The Still Hour. "`Come, come,' He saith, `O soul appressed and weary, Come to the shadows of my desert rest; Come walk with Me for from life's babbling discords, And peace shall breathe like music in thy breast.'"

■ 永活之泉（09月29日）

九月廿九日　愛「祂（耶穌）既然愛世間屬自己的人，就愛他們到底。」約翰福音十三章1節這句話是記載耶穌在往客西馬尼園之前，曾對門徒講出一段聖潔而極具深度的演講，（約十三－十七章）開始的一句話，把主彰顯在十字架上的大愛完全啟示出來。祂開始說出新命令：「你們要彼此相愛」（十三34），接著又說：「你們若愛我就必遵守我的命令……愛我的必蒙我父愛他，我也要愛他，並且要向他顯現……我們要到他那裏去與他同住。」（十四15、21、23）新生命就是在基督耶穌裏之屬天的生命，是要彰顯神在基督裏的愛。再下去，耶穌又說道：「我愛你們，正如父愛我一樣，你們要常在我的愛裏……你們要彼此相愛，像我愛你們一樣，這就是我的命令。人為朋友捨命，人的愛心沒有比這個大的。」（十五9－13）「叫世人知道您差了我來，也知道您愛他們如同愛我一樣……我已將您的名指示他們……使您所愛我的愛也在他們裏面，我也在他們裏面。」（十七23、26）如果這些神對基督的愛成為我們生活的經驗，那就更容易明白；然而在此將父神對聖子的愛放在我們心中，假如主耶穌親自向我們顯現，必是帶著愛心。我們每天享受祂的同在，必是在祂與我之間有永遠相愛的關係，這種愛紮根在相信主耶穌進入我的心，並向祂顯明順服愛別人的命令。我們看到初期教會是如何失落起初的愛心，但其他活動仍能照常前行。（啟二2－4）。只有在聖潔的空氣之中，才能明瞭基督內住活潑的愛，也因這具有深度的大愛，才能解釋基督「我永遠與你們同在」的應許。

九月廿九日　召喚的意識「因為我是不得已的，若不傳福音，我便有禍了。」哥林多前書九章16節我們容易忘卻神神祕超然的指點。神的召喚，如果你指得出，說得出，我倒有些懷疑。神的召喚，未必像這樣的來到，是超然得多，神祕得多。神的召喚，也許霹靂一聲的來到，也許如黎明放曉的來到，但無論如何到來，是與超然的暗流同來，是不能以言語形容的，常是忽焉蒞止的事。要隨時感覺這種不能預料，握住你的生命超然的召喚，──「我揀選了你們」。神的召喚，是與救恩和成聖無關。不是因為你成聖，所以你蒙召傳福音。蒙召傳福音絕對不是因為成聖。保羅說，我若不傳福音就有禍了。如果你曾消滅神在你生活中所給與的超然選召，你就回想你的情景，看在甚麼地方沒有將神放在最前面，反將你服從的觀念或你的天才放在最前面。保羅說：「我若不傳福音，我便有禍了！」他曾察覺神的召喚，也再不為別事耗費他的力量。若是一個男人或女人蒙了神的選召，無須顧慮他或她的環境怎樣，萬事都替神的旨意效力。如果你同意神的旨意，祂不但叫你意識的生命和諧一致，而且叫你生命的深處，就是你所探測不到的深處，諧和起來。

九月廿九日「……神所潔淨的，你不可當作俗物」使徒行傳十章15節「我憑著主耶穌確知深信，凡物本來沒有不潔淨的……」羅馬書十四章14節就像我們可以讓基督參與我們屬靈的事奉，我們也可以請基督參與我們生命中每一件平常無比的事。因為把神的恩典用到日常生活中最普通的事，似乎是最高且最難的，所以神甚至能在這些事上，比其他特別神聖的事上，得著更多的榮耀。羅馬書十二章可說是獻身給主之人的手冊。保羅在談完肢體中事奉的大事後，立刻說到我們應該在普通、社交、屬世的事上，也運用獻身的原則。他說：「愛弟兄，要彼此親熱；恭敬人，要彼此推讓。慇勤不可懶惰，要心裡火熱，常常服事主。」(羅十二10—11) 神不僅要利未人住在以色列的各城市中彰顯祂，也要我們在研習會中、工廠、廚房、托兒所、編輯室、印刷場等各處，就如我們站在講壇，或是在禱告室中一樣地榮耀祂。祂總是盼望我們在一個星期中的任何一個時刻，都彷彿週日處在祂的聖殿中那樣聖潔。
