^1:2 耶和華說：「我曾愛你們。」你們卻說：「你在何事上愛我們呢？」耶和華說：「以掃不是雅各的哥哥嗎？我卻愛雅各， <<I have loved you,>> says the LORD. <<But you ask, <How have you loved us?> <<Was not Esau Jacob's brother?>> the LORD says. <<Yet I have loved Jacob,
^1:3 惡以掃，使他的山嶺荒涼，把他的地業交給曠野的野狗。」 but Esau I have hated, and I have turned his mountains into a wasteland and left his inheritance to the desert jackals.>>
^1:4 以東人說：「我們現在雖被毀壞，卻要重建荒廢之處。」萬軍之耶和華如此說：「任他們建造，我必拆毀；人必稱他們的地為『罪惡之境』；稱他們的民為『耶和華永遠惱怒之民』。」 Edom may say, <<Though we have been crushed, we will rebuild the ruins.>> But this is what the LORD Almighty says: <<They may build, but I will demolish. They will be called the Wicked Land, a people always under the wrath of the LORD.
^1:5 你們必親眼看見，也必說：「願耶和華在以色列境界之外被尊為大！」 You will see it with your own eyes and say, <Great is the LORD--even beyond the borders of Israel!>
^1:6 「藐視我名的祭司啊，萬軍之耶和華對你們說：兒子尊敬父親，僕人敬畏主人；我既為父親，尊敬我的在哪裏呢？我既為主人，敬畏我的在哪裏呢？你們卻說：『我們在何事上藐視你的名呢？』 <<A son honors his father, and a servant his master. If I am a father, where is the honor due me? If I am a master, where is the respect due me?>> says the LORD Almighty. <<It is you, O priests, who show contempt for my name. <<But you ask, <How have we shown contempt for your name?>
^1:7 你們將污穢的食物獻在我的壇上，且說：『我們在何事上污穢你呢？』因你們說，耶和華的桌子是可藐視的。 <<You place defiled food on my altar. <<But you ask, <How have we defiled you?> <<By saying that the LORD's table is contemptible.
^1:8 你們將瞎眼的獻為祭物，這不為惡嗎？將瘸腿的、有病的獻上，這不為惡嗎？你獻給你的省長，他豈喜悅你，豈能看你的情面嗎？這是萬軍之耶和華說的。 When you bring blind animals for sacrifice, is that not wrong? When you sacrifice crippled or diseased animals, is that not wrong? Try offering them to your governor! Would he be pleased with you? Would he accept you?>> says the LORD Almighty.
^1:9 「現在我勸你們懇求　神，他好施恩與我們。這妄獻的事，既由你們經手，他豈能看你們的情面嗎？這是萬軍之耶和華說的。 <<Now implore God to be gracious to us. With such offerings from your hands, will he accept you?>>--says the LORD Almighty.
^1:10 甚願你們中間有一人關上殿門，免得你們徒然在我壇上燒火。萬軍之耶和華說：我不喜悅你們，也不從你們手中收納供物。 <<Oh, that one of you would shut the temple doors, so that you would not light useless fires on my altar! I am not pleased with you,>> says the LORD Almighty, <<and I will accept no offering from your hands.
^1:11 萬軍之耶和華說：從日出之地到日落之處，我的名在外邦中必尊為大。在各處，人必奉我的名燒香，獻潔淨的供物，因為我的名在外邦中必尊為大。 My name will be great among the nations, from the rising to the setting of the sun. In every place incense and pure offerings will be brought to my name, because my name will be great among the nations,>> says the LORD Almighty.
^1:12 你們卻褻瀆我的名，說：『耶和華的桌子是污穢的，其上的食物是可藐視的。』 <<But you profane it by saying of the Lord's table, <It is defiled,> and of its food, <It is contemptible.>
^1:13 你們又說：『這些事何等煩瑣！』並嗤之以鼻。這是萬軍之耶和華說的。你們把搶奪的、瘸腿的、有病的拿來獻上為祭。我豈能從你們手中收納呢？這是耶和華說的。 And you say, <What a burden!> and you sniff at it contemptuously,>> says the LORD Almighty. <<When you bring injured, crippled or diseased animals and offer them as sacrifices, should I accept them from your hands?>> says the LORD.
^1:14 行詭詐的在群中有公羊，他許願卻用有殘疾的獻給主，這人是可咒詛的。因為我是大君王，我的名在外邦中是可畏的。這是萬軍之耶和華說的。 <<Cursed is the cheat who has an acceptable male in his flock and vows to give it, but then sacrifices a blemished animal to the Lord. For I am a great king,>> says the LORD Almighty, <<and my name is to be feared among the nations.

■ 中文荒漠甘泉（10月08日）

十月八日「應當一無罣慮。」腓立比書四章6節許多基督人不斷地過著焦急罣慮的生活，有的竟煩惱得可憐。怎樣能在日常忙亂的生活中得到完全的安息是一個值得知道的祕訣。讓我們先看：罣慮究竟有甚麼用處？罣慮從來沒有使誰強壯過；從來沒有使誰遵行神旨過；也從來沒有使誰逃出困難過。罣慮只會損害有用的生命、美麗的生命。焦急、罣慮、擔憂，都是我們的主所絕對禁止的，我們的主說：「不要……憂慮，喫甚麼……穿甚麼。」（太六 25）主的意思並不是說：我們用不著預先思想，我們的生活可以毫無計劃、毫無規律；祂乃是說：我們用不著為這些事罣慮。你以為你這樣罣慮、擔憂，別人不會知道麼？我告訴你：從你臉上的愁紋，從你說話的聲調，從你生活中最微小的動作，從你缺乏喜樂的精神看來，別人早已知道了。我們應當把我們的罣慮卸給神！因為祂說：「凡勞苦擔重擔的人可以到我這裡來，我就使你們得安息。」（太十一28）　　　　　　　　　　─沙勤德煩惱、罣慮、猜疑、不信，都是基督人最大的弱點。我們究竟能不能從它們得到甚麼呢？它們不是常使我們失去活動的機會麼？它們不是常使我們失卻智慧的果斷麼？許多時候我們原可以依靠信心漂浮的，卻因為自己掙扎的緣故反沉下去了。哦，我們多麼需要安靜的能力！哦，我們當安靜，當知道耶和華是神！以色列的聖者不能不保護、拯救祂自己的子民。祂的每一句話都是有效力的；高山可以挪開，天地可以廢去，祂的話卻不能廢去。祂值得我們信任，也應得我們信任。我的魂哪，歸來罷，歸來安息罷，歸來倒在主的懷裡罷！　　　　　　　　　　─選

October 8 "Do not begin to be anxious." (Phil. 4:6, P.B.V) 　ＮOT a few Christians live in a state of unbroken anxiety, and others fret and fume terribly. To be perfectly at peace amid the hurly-burly of daily life is a secret worth knowing. What is the use of worrying? It never made anybody strong; never helped anybody to do God's will; never made a way of escape for anyone out of perplexity. Worry spoils lives which would otherwise be useful and beautiful. Restlessness, anxiety, and care are absolutely forbidden by our lord, who said: "Take no thought," that is, no anxious thourght, "saying what shall we eat, or what shall we drink, or wherewithal shall we be clothed?" He does not mean that we are not to take forethought and that our life is to be without plan or method; but that we are not to worry about these things. People know you live in the realm of anxious care by the lines on your face, the tones of your voice, the minor key in your life, and the lack of joy in your spirit. Scale the heights of a life abandoned to God, then you will look down on the clouds beneath your feet. 　　　　　　　　　　－Rev. Do we not unfit ourselves for action, and unhinge our minds for wise decision? We are sinking by our struggles when we might float by faith. 　Oh, for grace to be quiet! Oh, to be still and know that Jehovah is God! The Holy One of Israel must defend and deliver His own. We may be sure that every word of His will stand, though the mountains should depart. ■ 永活之泉（10月08日）

十月八日　基督親自啟示「有了我的命令又遵守的，這人就是愛我的；愛我的必蒙我父愛他，我也要愛他，並且要向他顯現。」約翰福音十四章21節基督曾應許祂的門徒，聖靈要向他們啟示祂的同在；而聖靈降臨時，祂藉著聖靈親自向他們顯現，他們就會對祂有更新、神聖而屬靈的認識，即使是祂仍在地上，祂仍要與他們有永不止息而親密的關係。祂和他關係的情況只用一個字即可表示——愛。「遵守我命令的就是愛我的，愛我的必蒙我父愛他，我也愛他。」這是神與人相會的愛，基督已經愛他，並且取得其心的歡欣，使他以完全順服來顯示其愛。父神看清這點，祂的愛要停留在那人的心靈上；基督衷心發出特別的愛，藉著基督親自更新而有福的啟示，將屬天的愛澆灌在我們心裏。但這並非全貌，「顯現的條件是什麼？」回答是：「人若愛我，就當遵守我的命令。」接著說：「我父愛他，我們要到他那裏，內住他裏面。」因著這篇文章將天描寫得淋漓盡致，我們又遵行少，如要天國降臨人間，必須要讓神在人間掌權就如天國在天堂，神也在那裏掌權一樣。「這是天國的真理降到人間，人天生就有選擇：活於亞當所傳下來天然的靈，有屬世的智慧或行都聽命於在我們面運行神的靈。」

■ 中文屬天日子（10月08日）

十月八日　獨佔基督「可以到我這裡來。」馬太福音十一章28節我們聽到必要到耶穌基督那裡來的話，豈不是一種屈辱呢！想想，我們不到耶穌基督那裡來的這回事。如果你要知道你真實的程度，最好是用這話──「可以到我這裡來，」來測驗自己。你的情意只要有一點不真實，你必辯白而不肯來，閃避而不肯來，也許寧願經過痛苦而不肯來；寧願去做無論甚麼事而不肯來，也自然不會說出這種謙虛的話──「我主耶穌，我來。」你只要有一點靈性的傲慢，你就要盼望神命你做大事，而祂所命你所做的就是「來」。「可以到我這裡來，」當你聽聞那句話的時候，你必知道，在你未來以前，必有甚麼事要做，聖靈也必指示你要做的事，就是把你的斧子放在那些阻止你通過到祂那裡去的事的根上。你若不願意聖靈的指示，絕不能前進一步的。聖靈能找出你裡面不能通過的事在那裡，但是祂不移動它，除非你願意祂這樣做。你曾有幾次到神面前祈求，而回去時也有這種感覺──「啊，這次我已祈求了」！在你祈求的時候，神已經站著伸出手來，不但要抱你，而且希望你抱祂，然而你還是空空地走開了。想想耶穌不可克服而無倦容的忍耐──「可以到我這裡來。」

十月八日「耶和華應許賜福給以色列家的話，一句也沒有落空，都應驗了。」約書亞記廿一章45節終有一天，即使是向來膽怯、口齒不清的人，都可能站在約書亞所經歷過的屬靈高處上。當我們回頭看自己的經歷，那些驚險萬分的事，以及所有祂帶領我們渡過的危險，並在我們跌倒時扶起我們，又拯救我們脫離罪惡，我們將會「大聲喊著說，願救恩歸與坐在寶座上我們的神，也歸與羔羊！」(啟七10)而且那時，我們對此經文將更瞭解其中涵意。當我們與主同坐在那榮耀的家中時，我們會有無限的時間來瞭解發生在我們生命中的故事。然後，神會與我們一起讀我們畫得紅紅綠綠的舊聖經，祂不僅會指出祂如何守住一切應許，並且還會解釋那些我們現在不明白的奧秘，告訴我們所有成就了的事情。那時我們會大叫：「神聖的基督，您既信實又良善；除您以外，沒有人能有您這樣的大愛。」而天上的大合唱團則會不斷地高唱：「耶和華應許賜福給以色列家的話，一句也沒有落空，都應驗了。」
