耶利米哀歌, 1章

^1:1 先前滿有人民的城，現在何竟獨坐！先前在列國中為大的，現在竟如寡婦；先前在諸省中為王后的，現在成為進貢的。 How deserted lies the city, once so full of people! How like a widow is she, who once was great among the nations! She who was queen among the provinces has now become a slave.
^1:2 她夜間痛哭，淚流滿；在一切所親愛的中間沒有一個安慰她的。她的朋友都以詭詐待她，成為她的仇敵。 Bitterly she weeps at night, tears are upon her cheeks. Among all her lovers there is none to comfort her. All her friends have betrayed her; they have become her enemies.
^1:3 猶大因遭遇苦難，又因多服勞苦就遷到外邦。她住在列國中，尋不著安息；追逼她的都在狹窄之地將她追上。 After affliction and harsh labor, Judah has gone into exile. She dwells among the nations; she finds no resting place. All who pursue her have overtaken her in the midst of her distress.
^1:4 錫安的路徑因無人來守聖節就悲傷；她的城門淒涼；她的祭司歎息；她的處女受艱難，自己也愁苦。 The roads to Zion mourn, for no one comes to her appointed feasts. All her gateways are desolate, her priests groan, her maidens grieve, and she is in bitter anguish.
^1:5 她的敵人為首；她的仇敵亨通；因耶和華為她許多的罪過使她受苦；她的孩童被敵人擄去。 Her foes have become her masters; her enemies are at ease. The LORD has brought her grief because of her many sins. Her children have gone into exile, captive before the foe.
^1:6 錫安城〔原文是女子；下同〕的威榮全都失去。她的首領像找不著草場的鹿；在追趕的人前無力行走。 All the splendor has departed from the Daughter of Zion. Her princes are like deer that find no pasture; in weakness they have fled before the pursuer.
^1:7 耶路撒冷在困苦窘迫之時，就追想古時一切的樂境。她百姓落在敵人手中，無人救濟；敵人看見，就因她的荒涼嗤笑。 In the days of her affliction and wandering Jerusalem remembers all the treasures that were hers in days of old. When her people fell into enemy hands, there was no one to help her. Her enemies looked at her and laughed at her destruction.
^1:8 耶路撒冷大大犯罪，所以成為不潔之物；素來尊敬她的，見她赤露就都藐視她；她自己也歎息退後。 Jerusalem has sinned greatly and so has become unclean. All who honored her despise her, for they have seen her nakedness; she herself groans and turns away.
^1:9 她的污穢是在衣襟上；她不思想自己的結局，所以非常地敗落，無人安慰她。她說：耶和華啊，求你看我的苦難，因為仇敵誇大。 Her filthiness clung to her skirts; she did not consider her future. Her fall was astounding; there was none to comfort her. <<Look, O LORD, on my affliction, for the enemy has triumphed.>>
^1:10 敵人伸手，奪取她的美物；她眼見外邦人進入她的聖所─論這外邦人，你曾吩咐不可入你的會中。 The enemy laid hands on all her treasures; she saw pagan nations enter her sanctuary-- those you had forbidden to enter your assembly.
^1:11 她的民都歎息，尋求食物；他們用美物換糧食，要救性命。他們說：耶和華啊，求你觀看，因為我甚是卑賤。 All her people groan as they search for bread; they barter their treasures for food to keep themselves alive. <<Look, O LORD, and consider, for I am despised.>>
^1:12 你們一切過路的人哪，這事你們不介意嗎？你們要觀看：有像這臨到我的痛苦沒有─就是耶和華在他發烈怒的日子使我所受的苦？ <<Is it nothing to you, all you who pass by? Look around and see. Is any suffering like my suffering that was inflicted on me, that the LORD brought on me in the day of his fierce anger?
^1:13 他從高天使火進入我的骨頭，剋制了我；他鋪下網羅，絆我的腳，使我轉回；他使我終日淒涼發昏。 <<From on high he sent fire, sent it down into my bones. He spread a net for my feet and turned me back. He made me desolate, faint all the day long.
^1:14 我罪過的軛是他手所綁的，猶如軛繩縛在我頸項上；他使我的力量衰敗。主將我交在我所不能敵擋的人手中。 <<My sins have been bound into a yoke; 1:14 Most Hebrew manuscripts; Septuagint ((He kept watch over my sins)) by his hands they were woven together. They have come upon my neck and the Lord has sapped my strength. He has handed me over to those I cannot withstand.
^1:15 主輕棄我中間的一切勇士，招聚多人〔原文是大會〕攻擊我，要壓碎我的少年人。主將猶大居民踹下，像在酒醡中一樣。 <<The Lord has rejected all the warriors in my midst; he has summoned an army against me to 1:15 Or ((has set a time for me / when he will)) crush my young men. In his winepress the Lord has trampled the Virgin Daughter of Judah.
^1:16 我因這些事哭泣；我眼淚汪汪；因為那當安慰我、救我性命的，離我甚遠。我的兒女孤苦，因為仇敵得了勝。 <<This is why I weep and my eyes overflow with tears. No one is near to comfort me, no one to restore my spirit. My children are destitute because the enemy has prevailed.>>
^1:17 錫安舉手，無人安慰。耶和華論雅各已經出令，使四圍的人作他仇敵；耶路撒冷在他們中間像不潔之物。 Zion stretches out her hands, but there is no one to comfort her. The LORD has decreed for Jacob that his neighbors become his foes; Jerusalem has become an unclean thing among them.
^1:18 耶和華是公義的！他這樣待我，是因我違背他的命令。眾民哪，請聽我的話，看我的痛苦；我的處女和少年人都被擄去。 <<The LORD is righteous, yet I rebelled against his command. Listen, all you peoples; look upon my suffering. My young men and maidens have gone into exile.
^1:19 我招呼我所親愛的，他們卻愚弄我。我的祭司和長老正尋求食物、救性命的時候，就在城中絕氣。 <<I called to my allies but they betrayed me. My priests and my elders perished in the city while they searched for food to keep themselves alive.
^1:20 耶和華啊，求你觀看，因為我在急難中。我心腸擾亂；我心在我裏面翻轉，因我大大悖逆。在外，刀劍使人喪子；在家，猶如死亡。 <<See, O LORD, how distressed I am! I am in torment within, and in my heart I am disturbed, for I have been most rebellious. Outside, the sword bereaves; inside, there is only death.
^1:21 聽見我歎息的有人；安慰我的卻無人！我的仇敵都聽見我所遭的患難；因你做這事，他們都喜樂。你必使你報告的日子來到，他們就像我一樣。 <<People have heard my groaning, but there is no one to comfort me. All my enemies have heard of my distress; they rejoice at what you have done. May you bring the day you have announced so they may become like me.
^1:22 願他們的惡行都呈在你面前；你怎樣因我的一切罪過待我，求你照樣待他們；因我歎息甚多，心中發昏。 <<Let all their wickedness come before you; deal with them as you have dealt with me because of all my sins. My groans are many and my heart is faint.>> 2:0 This chapter is an acrostic poem, the verses of which begin with the successive letters of the Hebrew alphabet.

■ 中文荒漠甘泉（07月04日）

七月四日「因為這默示有一定的日期，……雖然遲延，還要等候。因為必然臨到，不再遲延。」哈巴谷書二章3節有一本美麗的小書，名叫「期望所」（Expectation Corner），裏面講到斯羅門（Adam Slowman）在異象中進入神的儲藏室，在那裏他看見了許多奇異的東西。在許多奇異的東西中間，有一間「延福室」（Delayed Blessings Office），裏面藏著人們向神求告的一切東西，神將那些東西留在儲藏室內，等候相當的時日賜給人們。許多人不明白，「遲延」不是「拒絕」。他們不能領會「遲延」是神的慈愛和智慧！以賽亞卅章18節說：「耶和華必然等候，要賜恩給你們。」你遭遇的患難，祂都知道；祂必定不是叫過於你能忍受的試煉臨到你；祂必須等到你裏面的廢物都燒盡了，纔來救助你。讀者，你不要懷疑神的慈愛來傷神的慈心。你應當為著正在途中的拯救抬起頭來讚美祂；這樣，你一定會得到更豐富的報償。信心微小的信徒啊，　神何嘗把你遺棄？在一切似若黑暗無望之時，　你竟這麼快就把真理忘記。忘記了祂曾帶你前行，　溫和地為你把路開平，祂的太陽曾照透密雲，　把你的黑暗變成光明。祂既一直給你幫助，　如今決不會把你辜負，這將如何傷祂慈愛的心，　假若看到你如此煩惱。把你的前途交託給神，　不要再存懷疑之心，你過去虔誠信靠的祂，　從不改變，自古至今。　　　　　　　　　　─選

■ 英文荒漠甘泉（07月04日）

July 4 "For the vision is yet for an appointed time...thogh it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry." (Hab. 2:3.) 　ＩN the charming little booklet, Expectation Corner, Adam Slowman was led into the Lord's treasure houses, and among many other wonders there revealed to him was the "Delayed Blessings office," where God kept certain things, prayed for, until the wise time came to send them. 　It takes a long time for some pensioners to learn that delays are not denials. Ah, there are secrets of love and wisdom in the "Delayed Blessings Department," which are little dreamt of! Men would pluck their mercies green when the Lord would have them ripe. "Therefore will the Lord WAIT, that he may be gracious unto you"(Isa. 30:18). He is watching in the hard places and will not allow one trial too many; He will let the dross be consumed, and them he will come gloriously to your help. 　Do not grieve Him by doubting His love. nay, lift up your head, and begin to praise Him even now for the deliverance which is on the way to you, and you will be abundantly rewarded for the delay which has tried your faith. O Thou of little faith, God hath not failed thee yet! When all looks dark and gloomy, Thou dost so soon forget─ Forget that He has led thee, And gently cleared thy way; On clouds has poured His sunshine, And turned thy night to day. And if He's helped thee hitherto, He will not fail thee now; How it must wound His loving heart To see thy anxious brow! Oh! doubt not any longer, To Him commit thy way, whom in the past thou trusted, And is "just the same today." 　　　　　　　　　　─Selected.

■ 永活之泉（07月04日）

七月四日　基督活在我裏面「我已經與基督同釘十字架，現在活著的不再是我，乃是基督在我裏面活著。」加拉太書二章20節在這節經文裏，保羅表示了三點偉大的思想。第一，「我已經與基督同釘十字架」。當基督在十字架上犧牲，就是表示所有神的子民與祂一同死在那裏，我們在亞當裏都得死，而且亞當犯罪的本性也遺傳給了我們，而我們都當與主同釘十字架；但祂勝過死亡的能力在我們心中運行，使我們向罪是死的，在基督裏向神是活的。我們與主一同釘死在十字架上的聯合，是非常重要而且十分完全的，祂勝了死亡以及與祂的能力必能運行在我們身上。保羅第二個思想是：「現在活著不再是我」。一個實際在基督的死上有分的人可以說：「現在活著的不再是我。」因為我的生命已經在基督的十字架上死了，藉著信心我可以看見我的生命不再受死的審判，它仍在身上。在肉身，我一無良善，但在基督裏我得了自由，故此我不再服事罪，而長久活在基督裏。第三個思想是：「基督在我裏面活著」，這是活著像基督的秘訣。基督不單單為我犧牲，不單單在天上為我代求。不！基督活在我裏面，祂親自告訴我們，父怎樣在祂裏面內住、運行，祂也要同樣在我們身上如此作；祂是我們真實的生命，藉祂的內住，我們才可以活著。哦！基督徒，我懇求你花點時間默想基督，向祂敬拜，讓聖靈把這些話刻在你心版上。藉此，聖靈要向你顯明基督、榮耀基督，並且以天上榮耀充滿一切事物上。除非我們向世界和自己是死的，否則基督的生命無法顯明在我們心中。你必須經歷與主同釘十字架，然後「我不再為自己而活，而是基督活在我裏面。」「感謝神，因祂有說不盡的恩賜。」（林後九15）

七月四日　神所最不許的一件「不要心懷不平，以致作惡。」詩篇卅七篇8節心懷不平就是心靈不舒坦的意思。口說「不要心懷不平，」是一件事，你有這種性質，而不心懷不平，又是一件事。容易說「默然倚靠耶和華」，「耐性等候祂」，但於巢覆卵破遭受憂患痛苦的時候，你還能默然依靠耶和華，等候耶和華麼？如果這個不心懷不平的「不」在那裡不能生效，那就無處能生效了。必要在困難的日子發生效力，如同平安日子一樣；否則，永遠不會發生效力的。如果在你特殊的情形不發生效力，則在任何別人的情形下，也不能發生效力。默然倚靠耶和華，是要完全不以外面的環境為轉移，而以你與神本身的關係為轉移。慌忙的結果總是犯罪。我們以為有一點焦慮，是表示我們多麼聰明；殊不知正是表示我們多麼惡劣。心懷不平是從求達自己的決心而起的。我們的主從不憂慮，從不焦急，因為祂不是「求」實現自己的理想，而是「求」實現神的理想。如果你是神的兒女，必以心懷不平為惡。是不是用「這種環境就是神也受不住」的觀念來支托你那愚笨的心靈呢？將「設想」放在一旁，留在萬能者的蔭下！你要進到神面前說，我不為這些事憂慮，掛慮是從不靠神而來的。

七月四日「凡住在祂裡面的，就不犯罪……」約翰一書三章六節當我們被主洗淨之後，我們的老我會變成什麼樣子呢？不少人過分擔心這個問題，他們甚至想知道是否能立刻治死老我，然後拿出一張老我死亡、埋葬的證書。然而，如果我們能明白在我們裡面的乃是基督，老我早已被逐出心門，這就已足夠了。也許老我會再出現，甚至敲我們的心門，要求我們讓它進來；但是只要我們住在基督裡，老我將永遠被摒在心門之外。然而一旦我們離開主、犯了罪，那麼我們會在恐怖的墳場中發現已死的老我，並且這老我的屍臭味將再一次地包圍、淹沒我們。所以，讓我們住在祂裡面，永不再犯罪，因為只有祂在我們裡面，我們才不致犯罪。總言之，讓我們住在神裡面，不要急著逃避祂永恆的關注，倒要求祂不斷的住在我們裡面。其實我們的道路早已舖好，神也會賜下力量讓我們奔跑其中，我們就專心來走這條窄路吧。祂不僅為我們預備了全然成聖的機會，而且祂就是我們的聖潔，無怪乎祂要我們像祂一樣聖潔。所以讓我們穿上潔白美麗的袍子，預備好與祂走聖潔的道路。
