耶利米哀歌, 1章

^1:1 先前滿有人民的城，現在何竟獨坐！先前在列國中為大的，現在竟如寡婦；先前在諸省中為王后的，現在成為進貢的。 How deserted lies the city, once so full of people! How like a widow is she, who once was great among the nations! She who was queen among the provinces has now become a slave.
^1:2 她夜間痛哭，淚流滿；在一切所親愛的中間沒有一個安慰她的。她的朋友都以詭詐待她，成為她的仇敵。 Bitterly she weeps at night, tears are upon her cheeks. Among all her lovers there is none to comfort her. All her friends have betrayed her; they have become her enemies.
^1:3 猶大因遭遇苦難，又因多服勞苦就遷到外邦。她住在列國中，尋不著安息；追逼她的都在狹窄之地將她追上。 After affliction and harsh labor, Judah has gone into exile. She dwells among the nations; she finds no resting place. All who pursue her have overtaken her in the midst of her distress.
^1:4 錫安的路徑因無人來守聖節就悲傷；她的城門淒涼；她的祭司歎息；她的處女受艱難，自己也愁苦。 The roads to Zion mourn, for no one comes to her appointed feasts. All her gateways are desolate, her priests groan, her maidens grieve, and she is in bitter anguish.
^1:5 她的敵人為首；她的仇敵亨通；因耶和華為她許多的罪過使她受苦；她的孩童被敵人擄去。 Her foes have become her masters; her enemies are at ease. The LORD has brought her grief because of her many sins. Her children have gone into exile, captive before the foe.
^1:6 錫安城〔原文是女子；下同〕的威榮全都失去。她的首領像找不著草場的鹿；在追趕的人前無力行走。 All the splendor has departed from the Daughter of Zion. Her princes are like deer that find no pasture; in weakness they have fled before the pursuer.
^1:7 耶路撒冷在困苦窘迫之時，就追想古時一切的樂境。她百姓落在敵人手中，無人救濟；敵人看見，就因她的荒涼嗤笑。 In the days of her affliction and wandering Jerusalem remembers all the treasures that were hers in days of old. When her people fell into enemy hands, there was no one to help her. Her enemies looked at her and laughed at her destruction.
^1:8 耶路撒冷大大犯罪，所以成為不潔之物；素來尊敬她的，見她赤露就都藐視她；她自己也歎息退後。 Jerusalem has sinned greatly and so has become unclean. All who honored her despise her, for they have seen her nakedness; she herself groans and turns away.
^1:9 她的污穢是在衣襟上；她不思想自己的結局，所以非常地敗落，無人安慰她。她說：耶和華啊，求你看我的苦難，因為仇敵誇大。 Her filthiness clung to her skirts; she did not consider her future. Her fall was astounding; there was none to comfort her. <<Look, O LORD, on my affliction, for the enemy has triumphed.>>
^1:10 敵人伸手，奪取她的美物；她眼見外邦人進入她的聖所─論這外邦人，你曾吩咐不可入你的會中。 The enemy laid hands on all her treasures; she saw pagan nations enter her sanctuary-- those you had forbidden to enter your assembly.
^1:11 她的民都歎息，尋求食物；他們用美物換糧食，要救性命。他們說：耶和華啊，求你觀看，因為我甚是卑賤。 All her people groan as they search for bread; they barter their treasures for food to keep themselves alive. <<Look, O LORD, and consider, for I am despised.>>
^1:12 你們一切過路的人哪，這事你們不介意嗎？你們要觀看：有像這臨到我的痛苦沒有─就是耶和華在他發烈怒的日子使我所受的苦？ <<Is it nothing to you, all you who pass by? Look around and see. Is any suffering like my suffering that was inflicted on me, that the LORD brought on me in the day of his fierce anger?
^1:13 他從高天使火進入我的骨頭，剋制了我；他鋪下網羅，絆我的腳，使我轉回；他使我終日淒涼發昏。 <<From on high he sent fire, sent it down into my bones. He spread a net for my feet and turned me back. He made me desolate, faint all the day long.
^1:14 我罪過的軛是他手所綁的，猶如軛繩縛在我頸項上；他使我的力量衰敗。主將我交在我所不能敵擋的人手中。 <<My sins have been bound into a yoke; 1:14 Most Hebrew manuscripts; Septuagint ((He kept watch over my sins)) by his hands they were woven together. They have come upon my neck and the Lord has sapped my strength. He has handed me over to those I cannot withstand.
^1:15 主輕棄我中間的一切勇士，招聚多人〔原文是大會〕攻擊我，要壓碎我的少年人。主將猶大居民踹下，像在酒醡中一樣。 <<The Lord has rejected all the warriors in my midst; he has summoned an army against me to 1:15 Or ((has set a time for me / when he will)) crush my young men. In his winepress the Lord has trampled the Virgin Daughter of Judah.
^1:16 我因這些事哭泣；我眼淚汪汪；因為那當安慰我、救我性命的，離我甚遠。我的兒女孤苦，因為仇敵得了勝。 <<This is why I weep and my eyes overflow with tears. No one is near to comfort me, no one to restore my spirit. My children are destitute because the enemy has prevailed.>>
^1:17 錫安舉手，無人安慰。耶和華論雅各已經出令，使四圍的人作他仇敵；耶路撒冷在他們中間像不潔之物。 Zion stretches out her hands, but there is no one to comfort her. The LORD has decreed for Jacob that his neighbors become his foes; Jerusalem has become an unclean thing among them.
^1:18 耶和華是公義的！他這樣待我，是因我違背他的命令。眾民哪，請聽我的話，看我的痛苦；我的處女和少年人都被擄去。 <<The LORD is righteous, yet I rebelled against his command. Listen, all you peoples; look upon my suffering. My young men and maidens have gone into exile.
^1:19 我招呼我所親愛的，他們卻愚弄我。我的祭司和長老正尋求食物、救性命的時候，就在城中絕氣。 <<I called to my allies but they betrayed me. My priests and my elders perished in the city while they searched for food to keep themselves alive.
^1:20 耶和華啊，求你觀看，因為我在急難中。我心腸擾亂；我心在我裏面翻轉，因我大大悖逆。在外，刀劍使人喪子；在家，猶如死亡。 <<See, O LORD, how distressed I am! I am in torment within, and in my heart I am disturbed, for I have been most rebellious. Outside, the sword bereaves; inside, there is only death.
^1:21 聽見我歎息的有人；安慰我的卻無人！我的仇敵都聽見我所遭的患難；因你做這事，他們都喜樂。你必使你報告的日子來到，他們就像我一樣。 <<People have heard my groaning, but there is no one to comfort me. All my enemies have heard of my distress; they rejoice at what you have done. May you bring the day you have announced so they may become like me.
^1:22 願他們的惡行都呈在你面前；你怎樣因我的一切罪過待我，求你照樣待他們；因我歎息甚多，心中發昏。 <<Let all their wickedness come before you; deal with them as you have dealt with me because of all my sins. My groans are many and my heart is faint.>> 2:0 This chapter is an acrostic poem, the verses of which begin with the successive letters of the Hebrew alphabet.

■ 中文荒漠甘泉（08月15日）

八月十五日「我們進入神的國，必須經歷許多艱難。」使徒行傳十四章22節人生最佳美的東西，都是從苦難中得來的。麥子必須磨碎，纔能做成麵包。香料必須經火，纔能發出濃郁的香氣。泥土必須耕鬆，纔能適於下種。照樣，一個破碎的心，纔會得到神的喜悅。人生最甜蜜的歡樂，都是憂傷的果子。我們必須親身經歷許多艱難，然後纔會去安慰別人。靠著我茅舍的柴扉，開著一叢美麗的花，那是可愛的野薔薇。每逢朝起和臨睡，這野薔薇放送出，沁人心肺的香味。但在雨滴摧打之下，花氣更芬芳，隨著雨水，從我腳旁徐徐流瀉。我常密密親親，撫摸那嫩綠的葉片，和它作愛的溫存。當我手指用力緊擠，壓碎了它的花瓣，另一種濃香就會騰起。主啊，願我的生命就像花香，在狂風暴風的時候，散發出更美的芬芳。假若這是您祝福的旨意，要我靈魂受壓碎的痛苦，請您用力，我決不逃避。當最後的花香溢出之時，我低聲說：「祂深深愛著祂那被壓碎的野薔薇」。如果你渴望作一個安慰使者，如果你願意有憐恤的恩賜，如果你想從你身上流出新鮮的慰語來扶持受試煉的弟兄姊妹，如果你要在日常過著光圓的生活不叫別人感到你的酸辣，你必須甘心樂意地付一筆昂貴的教育費─—你必須像主那樣受苦。　　　　　　　　　　─勞勃生

■ 英文荒漠甘泉（08月15日）

August 15 "Through many tribulations we must enter the kingdom of God." (Acts 14:22.) 　ＴHE best things of life come out of wounding. Wheat is crushed before it becomes bread. Incense must be cast upon the fire before its odors are set free. The ground must be broken with the sharp plough before it is ready to receive the seed. It is the broken heart that pleases God. The sweetest joys in life are the fruits of sorrow. Human nature seems to need suffering to fit it for being a blessing to the world. "Beside my cottage door it grows, The loveliest, daintiest flower that blows. A sweetbriar rose. "At dewy morn or twilight's close, The rarest perfume from is flows, This strange wild rose. "But when the rain-drops on it beat, Ah, then, its odors grow more sweet, About my feet. "Ofttimes with loving tenderness, Its soft green leaves I gently press, In sweet caress. "A still more wondrous fragrance flows The more my fingers close And crush the rose. "Dear Lord, oh, let my life be so Its perfume when tempests blow, The sweeter flow. "And should it be Thy blessed will With crushing grief my soul to fill, Press harder still. "And while its dying fragrance flows I'll whisper low, `He loves and knows His crushed briar rose.'" 　If you aspire to be a son of consolation; if you would partake of the priestly gift of sympathy; if you would pour something beyond commonplace consolation into a tempted heart; if you would pass through the intercourse of daily life with the delicate tact that never inflicts pain; you must be content to pay the price of a costly education-like Him, you must suffer. 　　　　　　　　　　─F. ■ 永活之泉（08月15日）

八月十五日　成了耶穌嘗了那醋就說：「成了。」約翰福音十九章30節主在十字架所說的七句話，向我們啟示出祂的心意和性情。在主一開始出來工作時，祂說：「我的食物就是遵行差我來者的旨意作成祂的工。」（約四34）在任何的事上無論大小，總要成就神的工作，當祂作了三年的事工，祂從事大祭司的禱告說：「我在地上已經榮耀您，您所託付我的工作，我已成全了。」（約十七4），而在十字架上犧牲以致於死時纔能無愧的說：「成了。」這句話表示祂捨棄了自己的生命，當祂受完十字架極重的痛苦之後，就用剩下的力量說出這句話，以表示工作的完成。這句話也把救贖的福音表示得淋漓盡致，因為祂在十字架上已完成了全部人類救恩所需要的一切。每位跟隨耶穌的人也應該有這種性情，我們必須有這種心志，以盡力遵行主的旨意，做成祂的工為食物；無論是我們不放在心上的小事，不可使它妨礙我們做成神的工；或在大事上，我們必須付出更大犧牲，都要盡力做得最好，使我們可以傚法基督說：「成了。」祂完成了工作，也勝過一切仇敵；當我們與基督的死交通時，祂這臨死前的話可做我們日常生活的力量。神的兒子應學習支取「成了」這句話作為財產，憑信心使你在日常生活中，因主在十字架上所成就的有背十字架的精神。

■ 中文屬天日子（08月15日）

八月十五日　重生的標記「你們必須重生。」約翰福音三章7節「人已經老了，如何能重生呢？」（約三4）這問題的答案是肯死與不肯死。肯將權利、德行、宗教，以及世事一一死去，然後接受一種從來沒有的生命，就是重生。新生命在有意識的悔改裡和無意識的聖潔裡，將自己顯示出來。「凡接待祂的。」（約一12）我之認識耶穌是從內心靈性知覺而生的，或只是因聽別人之所說而學知的呢？我的生命裡有甚麼東西，使我與主耶穌聯合，以祂為我的救主麼？各種靈性的經驗必以個人的知識為根基。重生的意思是我看見耶穌。「人若不重生，就不能見神的國。」（約三3）我是尋求天國的標記呢？還是我尋神的統治麼？重生給與靈見的新能力，我藉此得以辨別神的統治。祂的統治永遠如是，與祂的本性真實無二，我現在接受了祂的本性，我能明白祂的統治。「凡從神生的，就不犯罪。」（約壹三9）我要停止犯罪或我已停止犯罪呢？從神生的，是有神超然的能力，不再犯罪的意思。聖經裡從不問一個基督徒應該犯罪麼？聖經很著重的說，一個基督徒必定不犯罪。新生命在我裡面的功效，是我們不犯罪，不僅我有力量不犯罪，卻是我們已停止犯罪。約翰一書三章9節並不是指著我們不能犯罪，乃是指我們如果服從神在我們裡面的生命，我們必不犯罪。

■ 中文上海嗎哪（08月15日）

八月十五日「……祂要引導你們明白一切的真理……」約翰福音十六章13節聖靈來並非是要給我們普通的常識，祂乃是要賜給我們生命以及屬靈的亮光；我們越是靠近祂，祂的亮光和引導就越顯得清楚。因為聖靈要引導我們進入一切真理，祂把真理的亮光照在我們心中，又啟示我們認識基督，使我們能明白聖經。因祂要我們能毫無疑問地理解屬靈的事實。聖靈是智慧的靈，能幫助我們得著基督的教訓。祂照明我們心中的眼睛，使我們知道祂的恩召有何等指望。「祂在聖徒中得的基業，有何等豐富的榮耀；並知道祂向我們這信的人所顯的能力，是何等浩大。」(弗一18—19) 帶有能力，如同火焰的聖靈，願您使我們滿有耐性，又賜我當說的話。願您伸出您強壯的手，使我們再次用五旬節的恩賜。願您奇妙的能力重新彰顯於全地。
