耶利米哀歌, 1章

^1:1 先前滿有人民的城，現在何竟獨坐！先前在列國中為大的，現在竟如寡婦；先前在諸省中為王后的，現在成為進貢的。 How deserted lies the city, once so full of people! How like a widow is she, who once was great among the nations! She who was queen among the provinces has now become a slave.
^1:2 她夜間痛哭，淚流滿；在一切所親愛的中間沒有一個安慰她的。她的朋友都以詭詐待她，成為她的仇敵。 Bitterly she weeps at night, tears are upon her cheeks. Among all her lovers there is none to comfort her. All her friends have betrayed her; they have become her enemies.
^1:3 猶大因遭遇苦難，又因多服勞苦就遷到外邦。她住在列國中，尋不著安息；追逼她的都在狹窄之地將她追上。 After affliction and harsh labor, Judah has gone into exile. She dwells among the nations; she finds no resting place. All who pursue her have overtaken her in the midst of her distress.
^1:4 錫安的路徑因無人來守聖節就悲傷；她的城門淒涼；她的祭司歎息；她的處女受艱難，自己也愁苦。 The roads to Zion mourn, for no one comes to her appointed feasts. All her gateways are desolate, her priests groan, her maidens grieve, and she is in bitter anguish.
^1:5 她的敵人為首；她的仇敵亨通；因耶和華為她許多的罪過使她受苦；她的孩童被敵人擄去。 Her foes have become her masters; her enemies are at ease. The LORD has brought her grief because of her many sins. Her children have gone into exile, captive before the foe.
^1:6 錫安城〔原文是女子；下同〕的威榮全都失去。她的首領像找不著草場的鹿；在追趕的人前無力行走。 All the splendor has departed from the Daughter of Zion. Her princes are like deer that find no pasture; in weakness they have fled before the pursuer.
^1:7 耶路撒冷在困苦窘迫之時，就追想古時一切的樂境。她百姓落在敵人手中，無人救濟；敵人看見，就因她的荒涼嗤笑。 In the days of her affliction and wandering Jerusalem remembers all the treasures that were hers in days of old. When her people fell into enemy hands, there was no one to help her. Her enemies looked at her and laughed at her destruction.
^1:8 耶路撒冷大大犯罪，所以成為不潔之物；素來尊敬她的，見她赤露就都藐視她；她自己也歎息退後。 Jerusalem has sinned greatly and so has become unclean. All who honored her despise her, for they have seen her nakedness; she herself groans and turns away.
^1:9 她的污穢是在衣襟上；她不思想自己的結局，所以非常地敗落，無人安慰她。她說：耶和華啊，求你看我的苦難，因為仇敵誇大。 Her filthiness clung to her skirts; she did not consider her future. Her fall was astounding; there was none to comfort her. <<Look, O LORD, on my affliction, for the enemy has triumphed.>>
^1:10 敵人伸手，奪取她的美物；她眼見外邦人進入她的聖所─論這外邦人，你曾吩咐不可入你的會中。 The enemy laid hands on all her treasures; she saw pagan nations enter her sanctuary-- those you had forbidden to enter your assembly.
^1:11 她的民都歎息，尋求食物；他們用美物換糧食，要救性命。他們說：耶和華啊，求你觀看，因為我甚是卑賤。 All her people groan as they search for bread; they barter their treasures for food to keep themselves alive. <<Look, O LORD, and consider, for I am despised.>>
^1:12 你們一切過路的人哪，這事你們不介意嗎？你們要觀看：有像這臨到我的痛苦沒有─就是耶和華在他發烈怒的日子使我所受的苦？ <<Is it nothing to you, all you who pass by? Look around and see. Is any suffering like my suffering that was inflicted on me, that the LORD brought on me in the day of his fierce anger?
^1:13 他從高天使火進入我的骨頭，剋制了我；他鋪下網羅，絆我的腳，使我轉回；他使我終日淒涼發昏。 <<From on high he sent fire, sent it down into my bones. He spread a net for my feet and turned me back. He made me desolate, faint all the day long.
^1:14 我罪過的軛是他手所綁的，猶如軛繩縛在我頸項上；他使我的力量衰敗。主將我交在我所不能敵擋的人手中。 <<My sins have been bound into a yoke; 1:14 Most Hebrew manuscripts; Septuagint ((He kept watch over my sins)) by his hands they were woven together. They have come upon my neck and the Lord has sapped my strength. He has handed me over to those I cannot withstand.
^1:15 主輕棄我中間的一切勇士，招聚多人〔原文是大會〕攻擊我，要壓碎我的少年人。主將猶大居民踹下，像在酒醡中一樣。 <<The Lord has rejected all the warriors in my midst; he has summoned an army against me to 1:15 Or ((has set a time for me / when he will)) crush my young men. In his winepress the Lord has trampled the Virgin Daughter of Judah.
^1:16 我因這些事哭泣；我眼淚汪汪；因為那當安慰我、救我性命的，離我甚遠。我的兒女孤苦，因為仇敵得了勝。 <<This is why I weep and my eyes overflow with tears. No one is near to comfort me, no one to restore my spirit. My children are destitute because the enemy has prevailed.>>
^1:17 錫安舉手，無人安慰。耶和華論雅各已經出令，使四圍的人作他仇敵；耶路撒冷在他們中間像不潔之物。 Zion stretches out her hands, but there is no one to comfort her. The LORD has decreed for Jacob that his neighbors become his foes; Jerusalem has become an unclean thing among them.
^1:18 耶和華是公義的！他這樣待我，是因我違背他的命令。眾民哪，請聽我的話，看我的痛苦；我的處女和少年人都被擄去。 <<The LORD is righteous, yet I rebelled against his command. Listen, all you peoples; look upon my suffering. My young men and maidens have gone into exile.
^1:19 我招呼我所親愛的，他們卻愚弄我。我的祭司和長老正尋求食物、救性命的時候，就在城中絕氣。 <<I called to my allies but they betrayed me. My priests and my elders perished in the city while they searched for food to keep themselves alive.
^1:20 耶和華啊，求你觀看，因為我在急難中。我心腸擾亂；我心在我裏面翻轉，因我大大悖逆。在外，刀劍使人喪子；在家，猶如死亡。 <<See, O LORD, how distressed I am! I am in torment within, and in my heart I am disturbed, for I have been most rebellious. Outside, the sword bereaves; inside, there is only death.
^1:21 聽見我歎息的有人；安慰我的卻無人！我的仇敵都聽見我所遭的患難；因你做這事，他們都喜樂。你必使你報告的日子來到，他們就像我一樣。 <<People have heard my groaning, but there is no one to comfort me. All my enemies have heard of my distress; they rejoice at what you have done. May you bring the day you have announced so they may become like me.
^1:22 願他們的惡行都呈在你面前；你怎樣因我的一切罪過待我，求你照樣待他們；因我歎息甚多，心中發昏。 <<Let all their wickedness come before you; deal with them as you have dealt with me because of all my sins. My groans are many and my heart is faint.>> 2:0 This chapter is an acrostic poem, the verses of which begin with the successive letters of the Hebrew alphabet.

■ 中文荒漠甘泉（10月05日）

十月五日「過了些日子，溪水就乾了。」列王紀上十七章7節如果我們不知道損失是祝福，失敗是成功，空虛是禮物的話，我們所受的信心教育還不完全。物質的缺乏常是靈力的建設。以利亞坐在基立溪旁注視那日漸乾涸的溪水，正是我們生活的寫真。「過了些日子，溪水就乾了」——這是我們昨天的歷史，明天的豫言。有一天我們總會知道信靠恩賜和信靠賜恩者有甚麼不同。恩賜也許有一時好用，可是賜恩者是永久的愛。以利亞在未到撒勒法之前，基立對於他是一個難題。等他到了撒勒法之後，他就清楚明白了。神嚴厲的對付並不是最後的對付。生活中的災禍、沙漠、眼淚，都是一些插入的音樂，並不是最後的精采。因為他在基立過的是信心的生活。在你我的生活中，甚麼時候屬地的泉源乾了，屬人的方法完了，我們就該知道我們的希望和幫助是在乎創造天地的神。　　　　　　　　　　─梅爾你可能也曾露營歇息。在這樣美好的溪水之旁，消除了你的疲倦，滋潤了你的靈魂，可是後來溪水枯乾，不再有當日的風光。安慰和福祐，曾經鼓舞你的心，無窮的愛，無限的歡欣，可是隨著時光消逝，一切變了，沒有了溫情，一片冷冷清清。靈魂啊，假若曾使你欣喜的溪水乾枯，不能再給你解渴，你將如何？祗要你投入神的懷抱，你無需煩惱。祂不會使你失望，更不會對你譏笑，祂的安慰不隨時光流逝而改變，擦去你的眼淚，把你的創傷醫好。　　　　　　　　　　─司密斯

■ 英文荒漠甘泉（10月05日）

October 5 "It come to pass...that the brookdried up."(1 King2 17:7) 　ＴHE education of our faith is incomplete if we have not learned that there is a providence of loss, a ministry of failing and of fading things, a gift of emptiness. The material insecurities of life make for its spiritual establishment. The dwindling stream by which Elijah sat and mused is a true picture of the life of each of us. "It came to pass... that the brook dried up"--that is the history of our yesterday, and a prophecy of our morrows. 　In some way or other we will have to learn the difference between trusting in the gift and trusting in the Giver. The gift may be good for a while, but the Giver is the Eternal Love. 　Cherith was a difficult problem to Elijah until he got to Zarephath, and then it was all as clear as daylight. God's hard words are never His last words. The woe and the waste and the tears of life belong to the interlude and not to the finale. 　Had Elijah been led straight to Zarephath he would have missed something that helped to make him a wiser prophet and a better man. He lived by faith at Cherith. And whensoever in your life and mine some spring of earthly and outward resource has dried up, it has been that we might learn that our hope and help are in God who made Heaven and earth. 　　　　　　　　　　－F. ■ 永活之泉（10月05日）

十月五日　釘十字架的基督「我斷不以別的誇口，只誇我們主耶穌基督的十字架；因這十字架就我而論，世界已經釘在十字架上；就世界而論，我已經釘在十字架上。」加拉太書六章14節基督最高的榮耀是在十字架，在那兒祂榮耀了父神，父神也榮耀了祂；祂是寶座中被殺的羔羊，啟示錄五章提到祂接受得救贖的人、天使和一切受造之物的敬拜，並且因著十字架，祂的僕人必須學習說：「我斷不以別的誇口，只誇我們主耶穌基督的十字架；這十字架就我而論，世界已釘在十字架上。」基督既在十字架上得了最高的榮耀，而我們又何能不以這為我們唯一誇口的對象。這位說：「我永遠與你同在」的，就是釘十字架的耶穌，而當時祂一邊指著手腳的釘痕，一邊說出這應許。所以我們這些尋求這應許的人首先要認清，這應許的是釘十字架的耶穌，祂每天為我捨己。有何理由使我們如此艱難期望，而享受祂的同在？因我們沒有向世界將自己釘在十字架上，來榮耀祂的十字架。我們已經與基督同釘十字架，這指著「舊人已與祂同死」，「肉體和肉體的邪情私慾都與基督同釘十字架」——世界何其少的時候對我們是釘在十字架上，我們可自由擺脫其權勢；我們又何其少自己與基督同釘十字架，否認自我，並要以基督的心為心。祂取了奴僕的樣子，存心謙卑，完全順服，以致於死，且死在十字架上。哦！讓我們學習此一功課，每天傚法釘十字架的基督行事為人，就會有能力，因為「我已經與基督同釘十字架」，「基督活在我裏面。」

十月五日　敗壞的傾向「這就如罪是從一人入了世界，死又是從罪來的；就是死就臨到眾人，因為眾人都犯了罪。」羅馬書五章12節聖經沒有說神因一人犯罪，懲罰人類；但是罪性例如自我主權之伸張，卻因一人進入了人類，可是另有一人擔負人類的罪，將它除掉（來九26）──一種豐富的啟示。罪性不是不道德和錯行的傾向，卻是自我的實現性──我是我自己的偶像。這種性質有時在道德的形式上表示出來，有時在道德的反面表現出來，但根基是一個，就是要求自我主權之擴張。當我們的主對付溺於罪惡的人和生活於純正的人的時候，祂不注意這人的道德墮落，或那人的道德造詣；祂能見到我們所未見到的「罪性」。我生下來就有罪，我自己不能解除；神解除罪的方法是救贖。神藉著耶穌基督的十字架，拯救全人類脫離那因遺傳的罪所致的罪罰。神絕不叫人負遺傳的罪的責任。罪罰不因我生來就有遺傳的罪而有，卻因我感覺耶穌基督來救我脫離罪，而我不肯依從，從那時起，我就獲了罪罰的印證。「光來到世間，世人不愛光，倒愛黑暗，定他們的罪，就是在此。」

十月五日「……我要向耶和華歌唱，因祂大大戰勝……」出埃及記十五章1節神呼召我們得勝，但是我們是否已把衝突交託給祂，並且降服在祂的面前？我們可曾抱怨：「這件事太過份了。」或是說：「我能捨棄一切，惟獨這件事不行！」如果我們曾說過這些話，那麼我們就還未進入應許之地。神盼望我們接納生活中的每一個困難，祂既然已經在我們的生命中動工，且知道我們的處境，所以只要我們敢讓祂掌權，祂不僅使我們能以勝利者的姿態成就一切事，並且會使我們「得勝有餘。」(羅八37) 我們是否拭目以待地，等著神使我們在所有的事上得勝？神總是給我們足夠的力量迎戰，然後祂會興奮地保護我們的一舉一動。祂渴慕緊緊地抱著我們，輕輕地對我們說：「我已看到你的爭戰，以及你的試煉；我更在你的勝利中得到了喜樂和榮耀。」讓我們記住神在起初對約書亞所說的話：「你平生的日子，必無一人能在你面前站立得住，我怎樣與摩西同在；也必照樣與你同在，我必不撇下你，也不丟棄你。」(書一5)今天祂仍然對我們說：「你不要害怕，因為我與你同在……我必幫助你……。」(賽四一10)
