創世紀, 1章

1:1 起初,神創造天地。 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
1:2 地是空虛混沌,淵面黑暗;神的靈運行在水面上。 Now the earth was 1:2 Or possibly ((became)) formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.
1:3 神說:要有光,就有了光。 And God said, <<Let there be light,>> and there was light.
1:4 神看光是好的,就把光暗分開了。 God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness.
1:5 神稱光為晝,稱暗為夜。有晚上,有早晨,這是頭一日。 God called the light <<day,>> and the darkness he called <<night.>> And there was evening, and there was morning--the first day.
1:6 神說:諸水之間要有空氣,將水分為上下。 And God said, <<Let there be an expanse between the waters to separate water from water.>>
1:7 神就造出空氣,將空氣以下的水、空氣以上的水分開了。事就這樣成了。 So God made the expanse and separated the water under the expanse from the water above it. And it was so.
1:8 神稱空氣為天。有晚上,有早晨,是第二日。 God called the expanse <<sky.>> And there was evening, and there was morning--the second day.
1:9 神說:天下的水要聚在一處,使旱地露出來。事就這樣成了。 And God said, <<Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear.>> And it was so.
1:10 神稱旱地為地,稱水的聚處為海。神看著是好的。 God called the dry ground <<land,>> and the gathered waters he called <<seas.>> And God saw that it was good.
1:11 神說:地要發生青草和結種子的菜蔬,並結果子的樹木,各從其類,果子都包著核。事就這樣成了。 Then God said, <<Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds.>> And it was so.
1:12 於是地發生了青草和結種子的菜蔬,各從其類;並結果子的樹木,各從其類;果子都包著核。神看著是好的。 The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.
1:13 有晚上,有早晨,是第三日。 And there was evening, and there was morning--the third day.
1:14 神說:天上要有光體,可以分晝夜,作記號,定節令、日子、年歲, And God said, <<Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark seasons and days and years,
1:15 並要發光在天空,普照在地上。事就這樣成了。 and let them be lights in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth.>> And it was so.
1:16 於是神造了兩個大光,大的管晝,小的管夜,又造眾星, God made two great lights--the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars.
1:17 就把這些光擺列在天空,普照在地上, God set them in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth,
1:18 管理晝夜,分別明暗。神看著是好的。 to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. And God saw that it was good.
1:19 有晚上,有早晨,是第四日。 And there was evening, and there was morning--the fourth day.
1:20 神說:水要多多滋生有生命的物;要有雀鳥飛在地面以上,天空之中。 And God said, <<Let the water teem with living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the expanse of the sky.>>
1:21 神就造出大魚和水中所滋生各樣有生命的動物,各從其類;又造出各樣飛鳥,各從其類。神看著是好的。 So God created the great creatures of the sea and every living and moving thing with which the water teems, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.
1:22 神就賜福給這一切,說:滋生繁多,充滿海中的水;雀鳥也要多生在地上。 God blessed them and said, <<Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the water in the seas, and let the birds increase on the earth.>>
1:23 有晚上,有早晨,是第五日。 And there was evening, and there was morning--the fifth day.
1:24 神說:地要生出活物來,各從其類;牲畜、昆蟲、野獸,各從其類。事就這樣成了。 And God said, <<Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: livestock, creatures that move along the ground, and wild animals, each according to its kind.>> And it was so.
1:25 於是神造出野獸,各從其類;牲畜,各從其類;地上一切昆蟲,各從其類。神看著是好的。 God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.
1:26 神說:我們要照著我們的形像、按著我們的樣式造人,使他們管理海裏的魚、空中的鳥、地上的牲畜,和全地,地上所爬的一切昆蟲。 Then God said, <<Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, 1:26 Hebrew; Syriac ((all the wild animals)) and over all the creatures that move along the ground.>>
1:27 神就照著自己的形像造人,乃是照著他的形像造男造女。 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.
1:28 神就賜福給他們,又對他們說:要生養眾多,遍滿地面,治理這地,也要管理海裏的魚、空中的鳥,和地上各樣動的活物。 God blessed them and said to them, <<Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground.>>
1:29 神說:看那,我將遍地上一切結種子的菜蔬和一切樹上所結有核的果子全賜給你們作食物。 Then God said, <<I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food.
1:30 至於地上的走獸和空中的飛鳥,並各樣爬在地上有生命的物,我將青草賜給他們作食物。事就這樣成了。 And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air and all the creatures that move on the ground--everything that has the breath of life in it--I give every green plant for food.>> And it was so.
1:31 神看著一切所造的都甚好。有晚上,有早晨,是第六日。 God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning--the sixth day.

■ 中文荒漠甘泉(12月26日)
十二月廿六日 「你們坐在這裏,等我到那邊去禱告。」馬太福音廿六章36節 在一個危急的時候,被遺留在後面,是一件非常難堪的事情。在客西馬尼園,十一個門徒裏面,有八個被留在後面不作甚麼。主耶穌往前去禱告;彼得、雅各、約翰在中間儆醒,其餘的在後面等候。照我想來,在後面的門徒必定會抱怨。他們雖在花園裏面卻不過只在花園裏面罷了;他們對於花園裏面花草的耕種無分無關。那時正是一個危急的時候,一個緊要的關頭;可是他們又不能擅自妄動。 你和我也常有這種經歷、這種失望。也許現在正有許多機會給基督人工作。有的弟兄姊妹已經到中間去了。只有我們仍留在後方伏著。或者因著疾病;或者因著缺乏;或者因著譭謗;無論因著甚麼,我們受到攔阻,心中非常悲痛。我們不明白為甚麼我們不能有分於主的工作。這似乎是一件非常不公平的事情─既然允許我們進了花園,又不在花園裏分派我們工作。 我的魂哪,應當安靜,事情並不照你所想的那樣悲痛!你並不是無分於主的工作。你想主的花園裏只有走的地方、立的地方麼?不,裏面還有一個地方,是專為那些不得不坐的人預備的。 一個動字,有三個位格(Voices)─施事格(Active),受事格(Passive),不及物格(Neuter),為基督活著的「活」字,也有三個位格。施事格─往前方去奮鬥。受事格─站在中間報告前方戰事的進展。不及物格——既不能打仗,又不能看仗,只能伏在後方。 如果今天你正伏在後方的話,請你記得,對你說:「你坐在這裏」的,是主。你所坐的地方並不是「摔跤處」,也不是「儆醒處」,乃是「等候處」,有許多人,神把他們放在世上,並不是要他們成功偉大的事業,也不是要他們背負重大的擔子,乃是要他們單單活著;他們是不及物動字。他們是沒有使命的花。他們用不著包紮花圈:他們用不著點綴食桌。他們雖然沒有被彼得、雅各、約翰看見,他們卻已經叫耶穌喜悅了。他們的香氣,他們的美麗,已夠叫主喜樂了。親愛的。如果你正是這樣一朵花,請你不要抱怨!           ─選
■ 英文荒漠甘泉(12月26日)
December 26 "Sit ye here while I go and pray yonder." (Matt. 26:36)  IT is a hard thing to be kept in the background at a time of crisis. In the Garden of Gethsemane eight of the eleven disciples were left to do nothing. Jesus went to the front to pray; Peter, James and John went to the middle to watch; the rest sat down in the rear to wait. Methinks that party in the rear must have murmured. They were in the garden, but that was all; they had no share in the cultivation of its flowers. It was a time of crisis, a time of storm and stress; and yet they were not suffered to work.  You and I have often felt that experience, that disappointment. There has arisen, mayhap a great opportunity for Christian service. Some are sent to the front; some are sent to the middle. But we are made to lie down in the rear. Perhaps sickness has come; perhaps poverty has come; perhaps obloquy has come; in any case we are hindered and we feel sore. we do not see why we should be excluded from a part in the Christian life. It seems like an unjust thing that, seeing we have been allowed to enter the garden, no path should be assigned to us there.  Be still, my soul, it is not as thou deemest! Thou art not excluded from a part of the Christian life. Thinkest thou that the garden of the Lord has only a place for those who walk and for those who stand! Nay, it has a spot consecrated to those who are compelled to sit. There are three voices in a verb-active, passive and neuter. So, too, there are three voices in Christ's verb "to live." There are the active, watching souls, who go to the front, and struggle till the breaking of the day. There are the passive, watching souls, who stand in the middle, and report to others the progress of the fight. But there are also the neuter souls-those who can neither fight, nor be spectators of the fight, but have simply to lie down.  When that experiecne comes to thee, remember, thou are not shunted. Remember it is Christ that says, "Sit ye here." Thy spot in the garden has also been consecrated. It has a special name. It is not "the place of wrestling," nor "the place of watching," but "the place of waiting." There are lives that come into this world neither to do great work nor to bear great burdens, but simply to be; they are the neuter verbs. They are the flowers of the garden which have had no active mission. They have wreathed no chaplet; they have graced not table; they have escaped the eye of Peter and James and John. But they have gladdened the sight of Jesus. By their mere perfume, by their mere beauty, they have brought Him joy; by the very preservation of their loveliness in the valley they have lifted the Master's heart. Thou needst not murmur shouldst thou be one of these flowers!           -Selected.
■ 永活之泉(12月26日)
十二月廿六日 完全的愛(根據約翰壹書的記錄) 「這是神真實的話。」啟示錄十九章9節 「愛弟兄的,就是住在光明中。」約翰壹書二章10節 「凡不行義的就不屬神,不愛弟兄的也是如此,我們應當彼此相愛,這就是你們從起初所聽見的命令。」(三10、11)「我們因為愛弟兄,就曉得是已經出死入生了」(三14)「主為我們捨命,我們從此就知道何為愛,我們也當為弟兄捨命」(三16)「神的命令就是叫我們信祂兒子耶穌基督的名,且照祂所賜給我們的命令彼此相愛。」(三23) 「我們應當彼此相愛,因為愛是從神來的。」(四7)「親愛的弟兄啊!神既是這樣愛我們,我們也當彼此相愛,……我們若彼此相愛,神就住在我們裏面,愛祂的心在我們裏面得以完全了;神愛我們的心,我們也知道,也信。神就是愛,住在愛裏面的就是住在神裏面,神也住在祂裏面。」(四11、12、16) 「人若說我愛神,卻恨他的弟兄,就是說謊的;不愛所看見的弟兄,就不能愛沒有看見的神;愛神的,也當愛弟兄,這是我們從神所受的命令。」(四20、21)這些話讓我們活生生地看到有屬靈的能力,能在我們心中紮根、生長並結實;但這種子如要生長,必須種在無荊棘的好土中,除非我們完全順服事奉神,否則無法由此道的種子結出屬天的果子。再來看三章23節,相信對救恩是必須的,愛弟兄也是必須的,四章21節,愛神的也當愛弟兄。
■ 中文屬天日子(12月26日)
十二月廿六日 在光明中 「我們若在光明中行,如同神在光明中……祂兒子耶穌的血也洗淨我們一切的罪。」約翰一書一章7節 感覺從罪得到自由,與因贖罪而獲罪之拯救,是當分辨的,不可誤認的。一個沒有重生的人,是不知道罪是甚麼的。罪是耶穌在髑髏地所對抗的仇敵。我明瞭了罪在我裡面的性質,便是我脫離罪惡的憑證?耶穌基督絕對的完全,使人知道罪是甚麼,這是祂的贖價所最後達到的。 聖靈將贖價用在我們身上,不但在我們意識的範圍裡,也在我們潛意識的範圍裡。我們不能把握靈的大能在我們的裡面,我們不能瞭解約翰一書一章7節「耶穌基督的血洗淨我們一切的罪」這句經文的意思。不僅指著一種罪的感覺,卻是指著罪之完全瞭解,也只有在我裡面的聖靈才能完全瞭解。 我若在光明中行,如同神在光明中,並不是我良心的光,卻是神的光──我若行在光中而無掩蓋的事,就有奇妙的啟示來到──耶穌的血洗淨我一切的罪,因此全能的神不能在我裡面看見甚麼可指責的事。在我的良心裡,必要發生一種罪是甚麼的敏銳感覺。神的愛在我裡面工作,使我與聖靈一同恨惡凡不與神聖潔一致的事。在光明中行,意思就是任何屬於黑暗的事,反逼著我趨近光明的中心。
■ 中文上海嗎哪(12月26日)
十二月廿六日 「……神所賜住在我們裡面的靈,是戀愛至於嫉妒……」雅各書四章5節 雖然這一段美麗的經節,不幸被翻譯為神的靈是戀愛至於嫉妒。但是其真意乃是「神所賜住在我們裡面的靈,愛我們甚至到嫉妒的境界。」因為神對我們的愛之深,所以祂不能忍受我們不專心愛祂。 聖靈極渴望在我們生命中完成神所賜給我們的最高旨意。祂盼望我們對屬天的新郎——基督耶穌有最真的愛,所以當我們令祂失望,或是只給祂部份的愛時,祂變得有嫉妒的心。無怪乎在這經節之前,神會說:「你們這些淫亂的人哪,豈不知與世俗為友,就是與神為敵嗎?」(雅四4) 我們豈能傷了我們這位慈仁救主的心呢?我們豈能令這位愛我們的新郎失望呢?難道我們不能讓聖靈所賜給我們的愛,專一集中而無限制地來愛祂嗎? 試問,還有那一位新郎像基督那樣地深深愛我們,並真誠地尋找我們,為要贏得我們的心呢?
