創世紀, 1章

1:1 起初,神創造天地。 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
1:2 地是空虛混沌,淵面黑暗;神的靈運行在水面上。 Now the earth was 1:2 Or possibly ((became)) formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.
1:3 神說:要有光,就有了光。 And God said, <<Let there be light,>> and there was light.
1:4 神看光是好的,就把光暗分開了。 God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness.
1:5 神稱光為晝,稱暗為夜。有晚上,有早晨,這是頭一日。 God called the light <<day,>> and the darkness he called <<night.>> And there was evening, and there was morning--the first day.
1:6 神說:諸水之間要有空氣,將水分為上下。 And God said, <<Let there be an expanse between the waters to separate water from water.>>
1:7 神就造出空氣,將空氣以下的水、空氣以上的水分開了。事就這樣成了。 So God made the expanse and separated the water under the expanse from the water above it. And it was so.
1:8 神稱空氣為天。有晚上,有早晨,是第二日。 God called the expanse <<sky.>> And there was evening, and there was morning--the second day.
1:9 神說:天下的水要聚在一處,使旱地露出來。事就這樣成了。 And God said, <<Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear.>> And it was so.
1:10 神稱旱地為地,稱水的聚處為海。神看著是好的。 God called the dry ground <<land,>> and the gathered waters he called <<seas.>> And God saw that it was good.
1:11 神說:地要發生青草和結種子的菜蔬,並結果子的樹木,各從其類,果子都包著核。事就這樣成了。 Then God said, <<Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds.>> And it was so.
1:12 於是地發生了青草和結種子的菜蔬,各從其類;並結果子的樹木,各從其類;果子都包著核。神看著是好的。 The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.
1:13 有晚上,有早晨,是第三日。 And there was evening, and there was morning--the third day.
1:14 神說:天上要有光體,可以分晝夜,作記號,定節令、日子、年歲, And God said, <<Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark seasons and days and years,
1:15 並要發光在天空,普照在地上。事就這樣成了。 and let them be lights in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth.>> And it was so.
1:16 於是神造了兩個大光,大的管晝,小的管夜,又造眾星, God made two great lights--the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars.
1:17 就把這些光擺列在天空,普照在地上, God set them in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth,
1:18 管理晝夜,分別明暗。神看著是好的。 to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. And God saw that it was good.
1:19 有晚上,有早晨,是第四日。 And there was evening, and there was morning--the fourth day.
1:20 神說:水要多多滋生有生命的物;要有雀鳥飛在地面以上,天空之中。 And God said, <<Let the water teem with living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the expanse of the sky.>>
1:21 神就造出大魚和水中所滋生各樣有生命的動物,各從其類;又造出各樣飛鳥,各從其類。神看著是好的。 So God created the great creatures of the sea and every living and moving thing with which the water teems, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.
1:22 神就賜福給這一切,說:滋生繁多,充滿海中的水;雀鳥也要多生在地上。 God blessed them and said, <<Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the water in the seas, and let the birds increase on the earth.>>
1:23 有晚上,有早晨,是第五日。 And there was evening, and there was morning--the fifth day.
1:24 神說:地要生出活物來,各從其類;牲畜、昆蟲、野獸,各從其類。事就這樣成了。 And God said, <<Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: livestock, creatures that move along the ground, and wild animals, each according to its kind.>> And it was so.
1:25 於是神造出野獸,各從其類;牲畜,各從其類;地上一切昆蟲,各從其類。神看著是好的。 God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.
1:26 神說:我們要照著我們的形像、按著我們的樣式造人,使他們管理海裏的魚、空中的鳥、地上的牲畜,和全地,地上所爬的一切昆蟲。 Then God said, <<Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, 1:26 Hebrew; Syriac ((all the wild animals)) and over all the creatures that move along the ground.>>
1:27 神就照著自己的形像造人,乃是照著他的形像造男造女。 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.
1:28 神就賜福給他們,又對他們說:要生養眾多,遍滿地面,治理這地,也要管理海裏的魚、空中的鳥,和地上各樣動的活物。 God blessed them and said to them, <<Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground.>>
1:29 神說:看那,我將遍地上一切結種子的菜蔬和一切樹上所結有核的果子全賜給你們作食物。 Then God said, <<I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food.
1:30 至於地上的走獸和空中的飛鳥,並各樣爬在地上有生命的物,我將青草賜給他們作食物。事就這樣成了。 And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air and all the creatures that move on the ground--everything that has the breath of life in it--I give every green plant for food.>> And it was so.
1:31 神看著一切所造的都甚好。有晚上,有早晨,是第六日。 God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning--the sixth day.

七月十一日 「過了些日子,溪水就乾了,因為雨沒有下在地上。」列王紀上十七章7節 一星期一星期地過去,以利亞帶著堅忍不撓的精神,守著那日漸乾涸的溪水;撒但常常誘惑他叫他發生疑懼,但是他始終不允許環境來插在他與神的中間。 我們有時常會藉環境來看神,正像在煙霧中看太陽覺得太陽的光輝減少了一樣;但是信心是將神放在環境和自己中間─用神的看法來看環境。 一天一天過去,那日漸乾涸的溪水祗剩下了一條銀色的細線了;銀色的細線不久又斷成了小小的池沼;池沼又漸漸乾涸。飛鳥逃去了;田間和林中的野獸也不再來取飲了;到了一天,溪水全然乾涸了。以利亞忍耐堅持到那時候,纔有「耶和華的話臨到他,說,你起身往撒勒法去。」(8、9節) 如果是我們,一定早已急壞了─早在東打算西打算地妄用自己的聰明了。當水流潺潺的聲音稍為減少了一些的時候,我們感謝讚美的歌聲就定規會停止了;我們會將歌頌神的樂器丟在柳樹枝上,自己卻在枯黃的草地上踏來踏去,焦慮得像失去了魂一般。或許,在溪水乾涸以前,我們早會想出些方法來求神祝福,然後出發往他處去了。 神常常按照祂自己的時候來解救我們,因為祂的慈愛是永遠常存的;我們如果肯先等候看明神的旨意,我們便不會流落到不及解救的地步;我們也不會帶著羞愧的淚眼走回頭路了。所以讀者啊,我們應當等候,耐心等候神的旨意向我們顯明!           ─梅爾
■ 英文荒漠甘泉(07月11日)
July 11 "It came to pass after a while, that the brook dried up, because there had been no rain in the land."(1 Kings 17:7)  WEEK after week, with unfaltering and steadfast spirit, Elijah watched that dwindling brook; often tempted to stagger through unbelief, but refusing to allow his circumstances to come between himself and God. Unbelief sees God through circumstances, as we sometimes see the sun shorn of his rays through smoky air; but faith puts God between itself and circumstances, and looks at them through Him. And so the dwindling brook became a silver thread; and the silver thread stood presently in pools at the foot of the largest boulders; and the pools shrank. The birds fled; the wild creatures of field and forest came no more to drink; the brook was dry. Only then to his patient and unwavering spirit, "the word of the Lord came, saying, Arise, get thee to Zarephath."  Most of us would have gotten anxious and worn with planning long before that. We should have ceased our songs as soon as the streamlet caroled less musically over its rocky bed; and with harps swinging on the willows, we should have paced to and fro upon the withering grass, lost in pensive thought. And probably, long ere the brook was dry, we should have devised some plan, and asking God's blessing on it, would have started off elsewhere.  God often does extricate us, because His mercy endureth forever; but if we had only waited first to see the unfolding of His plans, we should never found ourselves landed in such an inextricable labyrinth; and we should never have been compelled to retrace our steps with so many tears of shame. ■ 永活之泉(07月11日)
七月十一日 房屋與其根基 「竭力進到完全的地步,不必再立根基,就如那懊悔死行,信靠神。」希伯來書六章1節 根基和對其上房屋的功效之間不同的比喻,是要告訴我們兩種生命的比喻,保羅把神的房屋之根基立在因信耶穌而稱為義的教訓上,這是一個失喪的罪人要得到永遠救恩的一個不二門路(參羅五2)。 根基以上的房屋是什麼?請讀羅馬書五章12—18節,使徒指出那裏把因信稱義、與神相和,僅僅是開始。接著他指出在亞當裏,我們的命運是死亡;在第二個亞當——基督——裏,我們接受豐盛的恩典,那就是靠著耶穌基督我能活著,這是根基上面生命的建築物。接著在第六章裏,他又提出:在基督裏我們向罪是死的,藉著洗禮我們進入基督的死,我們若在祂死的形式上與他聯合,也要在祂復活的形狀上與祂聯合,如果我們與基督同死,那我們必定向罪是死的,在耶穌裏向神是活的。 因著與主在死和復活上聯合,基督能使我們從罪的權勢下得以自由,藉著聖靈,基督將我們從罪的權勢裏完全釋放出來,這棟基督裏生命的大廈必須建造因信稱義的根基上。 我們對羅馬書六章領悟或實行的何等少!這話包括我們已經立的根基在內,不!我們得經歷更深的真理,我們必須經歷基督是我們的生命,在祂裏面與祂同釘十字架,在祂裏面與祂的死和復活的形狀聯合,這樣能使我們成聖,在聖靈裏過著神聖而喜樂的生活。
■ 中文屬天日子(07月11日)
七月十一日 屬靈的聖徒 「使我認識基督。」腓立比書三章10節 聖徒的自動,不是朝向實現自我的方向,乃是朝向認識耶穌基督的方向。屬靈的聖徒絕不相信環境是偶然的,也不把他的生命分為兩部,一部是世俗的或一部是聖潔的;他能沉入任何事物的內面,從它獲得認識耶穌基督的知識。對於祂具有無限服從之情。聖靈決意要我們從生命的各方面實現耶穌基督,祂再而三的叫我們轉向實現耶穌的觀點,直到我們致諸實行為止。實現自我必是崇拜工作為王,而聖徒在他的工作上乃是崇拜耶穌基督為王。無論吃喝,或洗門徒的腳,或其他的事,我們應該自動的實現耶穌基督。我們實際生活的各方面,是耶穌生活的副本。即在最小的事工上,我們的主也要實現祂與神的關係。「耶穌……且知道自己是從神出來的,又要歸到神那裡去……拿一條手巾……就洗門徒的腳。」(約十三3─5) 屬靈的聖徒的目的,是「使我認識基督」。今日我在所在的地方認識祂麼?如若不然,祂便對我失望了。我不是在這裡實現自己,卻是要認識耶穌。基督徒在工作上常表現某事應該做,和我必得做的態度,這是極平常的,也可以說是自動的實現;但那絕不是屬靈的聖徒所應有的態度。在任何環境裡屬靈的聖徒,是實現耶穌基督。

七月十一日 「……你們立志行事,都是神在你們心裡運行……」腓立比書二章13節 又是與耶穌同行的一天,讓我們從祂那裡追求這一天的計劃和方向。讓我們在這一天中行祂所賜給我們的最高旨意,為我們的願望、理想和所期待的向祂祈求。然後在這一天裡,神必會「充充足足的,成就一切超過我們所求所想的。」(弗三20)讓神做我們的嚮導和道路,讓我們默想時刻與我們同在的神,超過去默想祂的計劃和方法。畢竟我們乃是藉著不斷地倚靠祂,來一步步地尋求帶領。 讓祂成為我們今天的自信和力量。讓我們永不忘記:「我靠著那加給我力量的,凡事都能做」(腓四13)這個秘訣。讓住在我們裡面的耶穌完成一切的工作。讓我們時刻靠祂,「立志行事……成就祂的美意。」(腓二13)讓「賜生命聖靈的律」(羅八2)在基督裡使我們成聖。讓「耶穌的生……顯明在我們身上。」(林後四11)成為我們的健康、平安和喜樂。讓我們因基督所賜的恩典而事奉,不是單有死的行為。
