創世紀, 1章

^1:1 起初，神創造天地。 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
^1:2 地是空虛混沌，淵面黑暗；神的靈運行在水面上。 Now the earth was 1:2 Or possibly ((became)) formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.
^1:3 神說：要有光，就有了光。 And God said, <<Let there be light,>> and there was light.
^1:4 神看光是好的，就把光暗分開了。 God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness.
^1:5 神稱光為晝，稱暗為夜。有晚上，有早晨，這是頭一日。 God called the light <<day,>> and the darkness he called <<night.>> And there was evening, and there was morning--the first day.
^1:6 神說：諸水之間要有空氣，將水分為上下。 And God said, <<Let there be an expanse between the waters to separate water from water.>>
^1:7 神就造出空氣，將空氣以下的水、空氣以上的水分開了。事就這樣成了。 So God made the expanse and separated the water under the expanse from the water above it. And it was so.
^1:8 神稱空氣為天。有晚上，有早晨，是第二日。 God called the expanse <<sky.>> And there was evening, and there was morning--the second day.
^1:9 神說：天下的水要聚在一處，使旱地露出來。事就這樣成了。 And God said, <<Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear.>> And it was so.
^1:10 神稱旱地為地，稱水的聚處為海。神看著是好的。 God called the dry ground <<land,>> and the gathered waters he called <<seas.>> And God saw that it was good.
^1:11 神說：地要發生青草和結種子的菜蔬，並結果子的樹木，各從其類，果子都包著核。事就這樣成了。 Then God said, <<Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds.>> And it was so.
^1:12 於是地發生了青草和結種子的菜蔬，各從其類；並結果子的樹木，各從其類；果子都包著核。神看著是好的。 The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.
^1:13 有晚上，有早晨，是第三日。 And there was evening, and there was morning--the third day.
^1:14 神說：天上要有光體，可以分晝夜，作記號，定節令、日子、年歲， And God said, <<Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark seasons and days and years,
^1:15 並要發光在天空，普照在地上。事就這樣成了。 and let them be lights in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth.>> And it was so.
^1:16 於是神造了兩個大光，大的管晝，小的管夜，又造眾星， God made two great lights--the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars.
^1:17 就把這些光擺列在天空，普照在地上， God set them in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth,
^1:18 管理晝夜，分別明暗。神看著是好的。 to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. And God saw that it was good.
^1:19 有晚上，有早晨，是第四日。 And there was evening, and there was morning--the fourth day.
^1:20 神說：水要多多滋生有生命的物；要有雀鳥飛在地面以上，天空之中。 And God said, <<Let the water teem with living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the expanse of the sky.>>
^1:21 神就造出大魚和水中所滋生各樣有生命的動物，各從其類；又造出各樣飛鳥，各從其類。神看著是好的。 So God created the great creatures of the sea and every living and moving thing with which the water teems, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.
^1:22 神就賜福給這一切，說：滋生繁多，充滿海中的水；雀鳥也要多生在地上。 God blessed them and said, <<Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the water in the seas, and let the birds increase on the earth.>>
^1:23 有晚上，有早晨，是第五日。 And there was evening, and there was morning--the fifth day.
^1:24 神說：地要生出活物來，各從其類；牲畜、昆蟲、野獸，各從其類。事就這樣成了。 And God said, <<Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: livestock, creatures that move along the ground, and wild animals, each according to its kind.>> And it was so.
^1:25 於是神造出野獸，各從其類；牲畜，各從其類；地上一切昆蟲，各從其類。神看著是好的。 God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.
^1:26 神說：我們要照著我們的形像、按著我們的樣式造人，使他們管理海裏的魚、空中的鳥、地上的牲畜，和全地，地上所爬的一切昆蟲。 Then God said, <<Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, 1:26 Hebrew; Syriac ((all the wild animals)) and over all the creatures that move along the ground.>>
^1:27 神就照著自己的形像造人，乃是照著他的形像造男造女。 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.
^1:28 神就賜福給他們，又對他們說：要生養眾多，遍滿地面，治理這地，也要管理海裏的魚、空中的鳥，和地上各樣動的活物。 God blessed them and said to them, <<Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground.>>
^1:29 神說：看那，我將遍地上一切結種子的菜蔬和一切樹上所結有核的果子全賜給你們作食物。 Then God said, <<I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food.
^1:30 至於地上的走獸和空中的飛鳥，並各樣爬在地上有生命的物，我將青草賜給他們作食物。事就這樣成了。 And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air and all the creatures that move on the ground--everything that has the breath of life in it--I give every green plant for food.>> And it was so.
^1:31 神看著一切所造的都甚好。有晚上，有早晨，是第六日。 God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning--the sixth day.

七月廿六日「我們靠著聖靈，憑著信心，等候義的盼望。」加拉太書五章5節（直譯）有時候，光景似乎非常黑暗─—甚至要在黑暗中等候盼望。在盼望中等候已經彀難了，何況等候盼望呢？一線光明也沒有，卻仍不肯絕望；窗前儘是黑暗，卻仍開著窗等候星宿；心中有了空處，卻不許裝置污穢─這就是宇宙中最偉大的忍耐。這就是約伯在患難中、亞伯拉罕在往摩利亞去的路上、摩西在米甸的曠野、人子在客西馬尼的那種忍耐。「恆心忍耐，如同看見那不能看見主」（來十一27）─—這樣的忍耐，比任何一樣的忍耐都難；這就是等候盼望。主啊，你曾使等待我成為美德，你曾使忍耐成為神聖。你教訓我們接受父的意志，祗為了那是父的意志。你啟示我們，也許我們看不見什麼，祗看見面前的苦杯，仍舊不能讓它過去，你要我們相信，父的目光比我們看得更為遙遠。主啊，給我你的力量—─你客西馬尼的力量。給我等候盼望的力量─—叫我在沒有星宿的黑夜，仍有力量守望窗外；在最大的歡樂失去了的時候，仍有力量站住。在黑暗中仍能不屈不撓地說：「在父看來，光明依舊存在」。我祗要學會了等待希望，我的力量就達了高峰。　　　　　　　　　　─馬得勝有人在這個世界上，不論什麼時候，他心中永遠有一個感覺，認定那一般人所謂不可知的「天」，隨時隨地在那些可見物的後面。你要努力學習。

July 26 "Fer we through the Spirit by faith wait for the hope of righteousness." (Gal. 5:5, R. V.) 　ＴHERE are times when things look very dark to me so dark that I have to wait even for hope. It is bad enough to wait in hope. A long-deferred fulfillment carries its owm pain, but to wait for hope, to see no glimmer of a prospect and yet refuse to despair; to have nothing but night before the casement and yet to keep the casement open for possible stars; to have a vacant place in my heart and yet to allow that place to be filled by no inferior presence-that is the grandest patience in the universe. It is job in the tempest; it is Abraham on the road to Moriah; it is Moses in the desert of Midian; it is the Son of man in the Garden of Gethsemane. 　There is no patience so hard as that which endures, "as seeing him who is invisible;" it is the waiting for hope. 　Thou hast made waiting beautiful; Thou has made patience divine. Thou hast taught us that the Father's will may be received just because it is His will. Thou hast revealed to us that a soul may see nothing but sorrow in the cup and yet may refuse to let it go, convinced that the eye of the Father sees further than its own. 　Give me this Divine power of Tnine, the power of Gethsemane. Give me the power to wait for hope itself, to look out from the casement where there are no stars. Give me the power, when the very joy that was set before me is gone, to stand unconquered amid the night, and say, "To the eye of my Father it is perhaps shining still," I shall reach the climax of strength when I have learned to wait for hope. 　　　　　　　　　　─George Matheson. Strive to be one of those─so few─who walk the earth with ever─present consciousness─all mornings, middays, star─times─that the unknown which men call Heaven is "close behind the visible scene of things."

■ 永活之泉（07月26日）

七月廿六日　葡萄樹和枝子「我是葡萄樹，你們是枝子，常在我裏面，我也常在他裏面，這人就多結果子。」約翰福音十五章5節在這個比喻中，我們看到主應許祂的門徒，藉著聖靈的運行可得到的新生命，把有信心的生命如鏡子般地反映出來。（一）「沒有果子」、「結果子更多」、「多結果子」、「果子常存」（2，8，16三節）：有信心的生活只有一個目的，那就多結果子來榮耀神。（二）修理乾淨（2節）：藉著比兩刃利劍更快的道修理乾淨，是絕對必要的。（三）「在我裏面」：親密地，不斷地與主交通。（四）「我在你裏面」：藉著聖靈神聖的內住。（五）「離了我，你們就不能做什麼」：完全的無能力，深深地謙卑、恆久的依靠。（六）「我的話常在你們裏面」、「你們若遵守我的命令，就常在我的愛裏」、「你們若遵守我所吩咐的，就是我的門徒」：順服是絕對必要的。（七）「我的話常在你們裏面，凡你們所願意的就可以求」：無止境的信靠。（八）「祈求，就給你們成就」：滿有能力的禱告可產生功效。（九）「我愛你們正如父愛我一樣，你們要常常在我的愛裏」：有信心的生活在祂裏面，因祂也愛我。（十）「這些事我已經對你們說了，是要叫我的喜樂存在你們的心裏，並且叫你們的喜樂可以滿足」：喜樂的滿足和它的內住。（十一）「你們要彼此相愛，像我愛你們一樣，這就是我的命令。」：藉著基督愛的大能在我心中運行，使我們遵守這個新命令。（十二）「我分派你們去結果子，叫你們的果子常存，使你們奉我的名無論向父求什麼，祂就賜給你們」：全勝的基督之名。這是藉聖靈運行賜給我們基督生命必能發生的事，這種生命是軟弱的教會絕對需要的，但要有小孩般的確信和順服才可得著。

七月廿六日　清潔的打算「……是從心裡發出來的。」馬太福音十五章18—20節我們一信賴無知，便以無知為天真爛漫，信賴天真爛漫，便以天真爛漫為純潔。我們一聽見我們的主所說的那些逆耳之言，就畏縮的說：「但是我心中從不感覺這些可怕的事件。」我們憎惡耶穌基督所揭示的。除非耶穌基督是支配人心的至高權威，否則是不值得我們注意的。我是準備信賴祂的明察，抑或寧願信賴我的天真和無知呢？如果我以意識的天真當作測驗，我就要達到一種地步，帶著甦醒驚訝的神情知道耶穌所說的不錯，反而驚駭我裡面邪惡的可能性。無論何時我以天真為屏障，我就生活在愚人的樂園裡了。如果我從沒有做過下流人，就是因為膽怯和文化的保障，二者摻合的緣故；但當我赤誠來到神面前，我就覺得耶穌基督的診斷是絲毫不錯的。那唯一的預防，就是耶穌基督的救贖。如果我將自己完全交付祂，我就不必經驗我心中可怕的可能性了。純潔的底面很深，不是我自己所能夠探到的：但當聖靈進入的時候，祂將耶穌基督裡所表現的精神帶到我生活的中心來，那就是聖靈，是無玷污的純潔。

七月廿六日「我從前風聞有您，現在親眼看見您」約伯記四十二章5節我們必須認識我們性格中，真正的邪惡和敗壞，而且願意將老我交給神摧毀，就如亞伯拉罕願意將以撒甘心地放在祂的腳下。這對我們的本性來說，幾乎是件不可能的事。但是只要我們降服，做了正確的選擇之後，我們立刻會發現痛苦已經消失，老我也被治死了。把老我交託給神是一生中，只發生一次的決定性選擇。神不需要我們千百次地重複這個死亡的經驗，祂只要我們死心蹋地地順服祂。對我們來說，這將是我們生命中最寶貴的一件事，因為這能影響我們的計劃，幫助我們堅定意志、成為我們思想的中心。只要我們在這一件事上順服神，那麼其他的事也都解決了。反之，我們若是拒絕神，推託、妥協的靈就會影響我們一生中的每一方面。願我們接受神的幫助，使我們能在生命中的每一件事上按祂的旨意而行。
