創世紀, 1章

^1:1 起初，神創造天地。 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
^1:2 地是空虛混沌，淵面黑暗；神的靈運行在水面上。 Now the earth was 1:2 Or possibly ((became)) formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.
^1:3 神說：要有光，就有了光。 And God said, <<Let there be light,>> and there was light.
^1:4 神看光是好的，就把光暗分開了。 God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness.
^1:5 神稱光為晝，稱暗為夜。有晚上，有早晨，這是頭一日。 God called the light <<day,>> and the darkness he called <<night.>> And there was evening, and there was morning--the first day.
^1:6 神說：諸水之間要有空氣，將水分為上下。 And God said, <<Let there be an expanse between the waters to separate water from water.>>
^1:7 神就造出空氣，將空氣以下的水、空氣以上的水分開了。事就這樣成了。 So God made the expanse and separated the water under the expanse from the water above it. And it was so.
^1:8 神稱空氣為天。有晚上，有早晨，是第二日。 God called the expanse <<sky.>> And there was evening, and there was morning--the second day.
^1:9 神說：天下的水要聚在一處，使旱地露出來。事就這樣成了。 And God said, <<Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear.>> And it was so.
^1:10 神稱旱地為地，稱水的聚處為海。神看著是好的。 God called the dry ground <<land,>> and the gathered waters he called <<seas.>> And God saw that it was good.
^1:11 神說：地要發生青草和結種子的菜蔬，並結果子的樹木，各從其類，果子都包著核。事就這樣成了。 Then God said, <<Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds.>> And it was so.
^1:12 於是地發生了青草和結種子的菜蔬，各從其類；並結果子的樹木，各從其類；果子都包著核。神看著是好的。 The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.
^1:13 有晚上，有早晨，是第三日。 And there was evening, and there was morning--the third day.
^1:14 神說：天上要有光體，可以分晝夜，作記號，定節令、日子、年歲， And God said, <<Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark seasons and days and years,
^1:15 並要發光在天空，普照在地上。事就這樣成了。 and let them be lights in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth.>> And it was so.
^1:16 於是神造了兩個大光，大的管晝，小的管夜，又造眾星， God made two great lights--the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars.
^1:17 就把這些光擺列在天空，普照在地上， God set them in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth,
^1:18 管理晝夜，分別明暗。神看著是好的。 to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. And God saw that it was good.
^1:19 有晚上，有早晨，是第四日。 And there was evening, and there was morning--the fourth day.
^1:20 神說：水要多多滋生有生命的物；要有雀鳥飛在地面以上，天空之中。 And God said, <<Let the water teem with living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the expanse of the sky.>>
^1:21 神就造出大魚和水中所滋生各樣有生命的動物，各從其類；又造出各樣飛鳥，各從其類。神看著是好的。 So God created the great creatures of the sea and every living and moving thing with which the water teems, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.
^1:22 神就賜福給這一切，說：滋生繁多，充滿海中的水；雀鳥也要多生在地上。 God blessed them and said, <<Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the water in the seas, and let the birds increase on the earth.>>
^1:23 有晚上，有早晨，是第五日。 And there was evening, and there was morning--the fifth day.
^1:24 神說：地要生出活物來，各從其類；牲畜、昆蟲、野獸，各從其類。事就這樣成了。 And God said, <<Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: livestock, creatures that move along the ground, and wild animals, each according to its kind.>> And it was so.
^1:25 於是神造出野獸，各從其類；牲畜，各從其類；地上一切昆蟲，各從其類。神看著是好的。 God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.
^1:26 神說：我們要照著我們的形像、按著我們的樣式造人，使他們管理海裏的魚、空中的鳥、地上的牲畜，和全地，地上所爬的一切昆蟲。 Then God said, <<Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, 1:26 Hebrew; Syriac ((all the wild animals)) and over all the creatures that move along the ground.>>
^1:27 神就照著自己的形像造人，乃是照著他的形像造男造女。 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.
^1:28 神就賜福給他們，又對他們說：要生養眾多，遍滿地面，治理這地，也要管理海裏的魚、空中的鳥，和地上各樣動的活物。 God blessed them and said to them, <<Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground.>>
^1:29 神說：看那，我將遍地上一切結種子的菜蔬和一切樹上所結有核的果子全賜給你們作食物。 Then God said, <<I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food.
^1:30 至於地上的走獸和空中的飛鳥，並各樣爬在地上有生命的物，我將青草賜給他們作食物。事就這樣成了。 And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air and all the creatures that move on the ground--everything that has the breath of life in it--I give every green plant for food.>> And it was so.
^1:31 神看著一切所造的都甚好。有晚上，有早晨，是第六日。 God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning--the sixth day.

五月六日「耶和華與敬畏祂的人親密。」詩篇廿五篇14節神有祂的祕密，敬畏祂的兒女們都可以知道的。神對付他們的手段，在外表看來，常是殘忍、可怕的。只有信心能看到深處，而說：「這是神的祕密。你只能看見外面；我卻能看見其中包含著的意義。」金剛鑽和翡翠都是藏在頂粗大的石中的，牠們的美麗和價值在外面一點都看不出來。荒野中的會幕，在外面並不能看出其麼價值來。豈知裡面儘是寶貴的東西，雖然外面僅罩著一層頂難看的海狗皮。親愛的，神也許送你一包頂寶貴的東西。不要難受，如果外面的裝潢頂難看。你可確實知道：裡面定規包著愛和智慧。如果我們用信心接受，我們就是在黑暗中，也可以看見：在裡面有神的祕密。　　　　　　　　　　─宣信直到織機聲息全無，　紡梭停止飛舞，神才攤開織造的圖案，　解釋其中的原故。為什麼靈巧的織工，　把黑色的線拿在手中，對於祂所設計的花式，　和金銀線同樣成功。凡是接受基督支配的人，他可以支配一切的環境。你覺得環境給你的壓力很大嗎？不要躲避。這是主在塑造你，正像窯匠塑造瓷器一樣。對你的支配，即將到來，並非阻止你前進，而是要你忍受訓練，因為祂不僅要把你製成美麗大方的器皿，且使你發揮天賦的功能。

May 6 "The secret of the Lord is with them that fear him."(Psa. 25:14.) 　ＴHERE are secrets of Providence which God's dear children may learn. His dealings with them often seem, to the outward eye, dark and terrible. Faith looks deeper and says, "This is God's secret. You look only on the outside; I can look deeper and see the hidden meaning." 　Sometimes diamonds are done up in rough packages, so that their value cannot be seen. When the Tabernacle was built in the wilderness there was nothing rich in its outside appearance. The costly things were all within, and its outward covering of rough badger skin gave no hint of the valuable things which it contained. 　God may send you, dear friends, some costly packages. Do not worry if they are done up in rough wrappings. You may be sure there are treasures of love, and kindness, and wisdom hidden within. If we take what He sends, and trust Him for the goodness in it, even in the dark, we shall learn the meaning of the secrets of Providence. 　　　　　　　　　　─A. B. Simpson. Does the circumstance press hard against you? Do not push it away. It is the Potter's hand. Your mastery will come, not by arresting its progress, but by enduring its discipline, for it is not only shaping you into a vessel of beauty and honor, but it is making your resources available.

■ 永活之泉（05月06日）

五月六日　代求「互相代求。」雅各書五章16節代求是有何等大的價值，也是禱告絕對必要的一環，因神的成全能增強我們的信心和愛心，也把福份和救恩與他人分享。讓我們來學習這一個功課：不僅為自己禱告，更以代求為主題，我們就從那些和我常在一起的親友開始，因為我們不是他們的障礙，而且可幫助他們，並代表他們以屬靈的智慧、無私、仁慈、捨己的態度去禱告。為那些尚未接受耶穌為救主的人禱告，把那些神擺在你心中的人發記下來，並為有交談的機會禱告，你已屬於基督，祂需要你為周圍的人提名代求；聖靈也會幫助你以愛心去看顧那些失喪的靈魂，也為貧窮的人和無心關心者代求。要為弟兄姊妹及福音事工代求，你可使用一個宣教日曆，因為其上有每天禱告的題目，並且衷心的為宣教士、傳福音者、教師和眾信徒向神禱告。你是否認為這將花費太多時間？只要想想這將交通你的禱告給予另一個靈魂有不可思議的幫助，而且要留心聖靈更長遠的引導；假如你早上沒有這麼多時間，可利用其他時間，要培養這種觀念：「我是為服事而蒙恩得救。」你可以因此嘗到傚法耶穌在世生活——使別人從我身上看出神的愛——極大的喜樂。

五月六日　因著福音而自由「基督釋放了我們，叫我們得以自由，所以要站立得穩。」加拉太書五章1節一個屬靈的人，絕不會來向你說──「相信這，相信那」；所要說的必是使你的生命適合耶穌的標準。不是要我們相信聖經，但要我們相信聖經所啟示的那一位（參約五39─40）。我們蒙召，是要表明良心之自由，不是表明見解的自由。如果我們有基督的自由，就能引領別人達到這種自由──瞭解耶穌基督支配的自由。要常常拿耶穌的標準來衡量你的生命。垂下你的頸，來負祂的軛，其他的軛都不可負；小心，不要加耶穌所不曾加的軛在別人身上。無論何人所見的不和我們一樣，都是錯的，那絕不是神的見解；這種錯誤的思想，神費了很久的氣力方能叫我們脫離。只有一種自由，就是耶穌在我們良心上工作的自由，能使我們行所當行的事。要忍耐，要記得神怎樣對待你──當忍耐當溫和；去把神的真理完全說出來。讓它自己感動人，不必為它辯護。耶穌說：「去使萬民作我的門徒，」──沒有說叫人相信你們各人的意見。

五月六日「你們……向神在基督耶穌裡，卻當看自己是活的」羅馬書六章11節死亡的發生不過片刻，然而生命卻是永恆的。因此，讓我們像復活之子而活，從祂榮耀的生命中找到更豐盛的生命。藉著這豐盛的生命抵擋老我的抬頭、罪的侵入，並用美善勝過邪惡。惟有如此，我們的存在才不會是自我憂鬱、或是一連串壓制的掙扎。反之，我們的存在會像基督生命泉源一樣，自然地勝過一切。在一次宗教性的聚會中，一位牧師講了一篇精彩且有關復活生命的信息。另一個傳道人則站起來，長篇大論地談釘死自我的需要，但每個人聽完都有一種冰涼的感覺，而我們卻不明白為什麼會有這樣的感受。當他結束談話之後，一位姊妹將兩篇信息做了個總結，她說：「第一位講員帶我們離開了墳墓，但是第二位卻又再次把我們放回墳裡。」讓我們不再走回墳墓，因為我們乃是從墳裡釋放出來的。讓我們像基督一樣活著，正如啟示錄一章18節所說：「又是那存活的，我曾死過，現在又活了，直活到永永遠遠，並且拿著死亡和陰間的鑰匙。」讓我們不再接近墳墓，把通向死亡的門鎖上，將那扇門的鑰匙交給復活的基督。
