以弗所書, 1章

1:1 奉 神旨意,作基督耶穌使徒的保羅,寫信給在以弗所的聖徒,就是在基督耶穌裏有忠心的人。 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, To the saints in Ephesus, (\f1 1:1 Some early manuscripts do not have|i in Ephesus|d.)the faithful(\f2 1:1 Or|i believers who are|d )in Christ Jesus:
1:2 願恩惠、平安從 神我們的父和主耶穌基督歸與你們! Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
1:3 願頌讚歸與我們主耶穌基督的父 神!他在基督裏曾賜給我們天上各樣屬靈的福氣: Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.
1:4 就如 神從創立世界以前,在基督裏揀選了我們,使我們在他面前成為聖潔,無有瑕疵; For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love
1:5 又因愛我們,就按著自己意旨所喜悅的,預定我們藉著耶穌基督得兒子的名分, he(\f3 1:5 Or|i sight in love. \V 5 |iHe|d) predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will--
1:6 使他榮耀的恩典得著稱讚;這恩典是他在愛子裏所賜給我們的。 to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves.
1:7 我們藉這愛子的血得蒙救贖,過犯得以赦免,乃是照他豐富的恩典。 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace
1:8 這恩典是 神用諸般智慧聰明,充充足足賞給我們的; that he lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding.
1:9 都是照他自己所預定的美意,叫我們知道他旨意的奧祕, And he(\f4 1:9 Or|i us. With all wisdom and understanding, \V 9 |ihe|d) made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ,
1:10 要照所安排的,在日期滿足的時候,使天上、地上、一切所有的都在基督裏面同歸於一。 0 to be put into effect when the times will have reached their fulfillment--to bring all things in heaven and on earth together under one head, even Christ.
1:11 我們也在他裏面得〔得:或譚成〕了基業;這原是那位隨己意行、做萬事的,照著他旨意所預定的, In him we were also chosen, (\f5 1:11 Or|i were made heirs|d) having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will,
1:12 叫他的榮耀從我們這首先在基督裏有盼望的人可以得著稱讚。 in order that we, who were the first to hope in Christ, might be for the praise of his glory.
1:13 你們既聽見真理的道,就是那叫你們得救的福音,也信了基督,既然信他,就受了所應許的聖靈為印記。 And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit,
1:14 這聖靈是我們得基業的憑據〔原文是質〕,直等到 神之民〔民:原文是產業〕被贖,使他的榮耀得著稱讚。 who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God's possession--to the praise of his glory.
1:15 因此,我既聽見你們信從主耶穌,親愛眾聖徒, For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints,
1:16 就為你們不住地感謝 神。禱告的時候,常提到你們, I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers.
1:17 求我們主耶穌基督的 神,榮耀的父,將那賜人智慧和啟示的靈賞給你們,使你們真知道他, I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit(\f6 1:17 Or|i a spirit|d) of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.
1:18 並且照明你們心中的眼睛,使你們知道他的恩召有何等指望,他在聖徒中得的基業有何等豐盛的榮耀; I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints,
1:19 並知道他向我們這信的人所顯的能力是何等浩大, and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is like the working of his mighty strength,
1:20 就是照他在基督身上所運行的大能大力,使他從死裏復活,叫他在天上坐在自己的右邊, which he exerted in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms,
1:21 遠超過一切執政的、掌權的、有能的、主治的,和一切有名的;不但是今世的,連來世的也都超過了。 far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every title that can be given, not only in the present age but also in the one to come.
1:22 又將萬有服在他的腳下,使他為教會作萬有之首。 And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church,
1:23 教會是他的身體,是那充滿萬有者所充滿的。 which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.

六月廿六日 「即便有不信的,這有何妨呢?難道他們的不信,就廢掉神的信麼?」羅馬書三章3節 我可以說:我一生所有的憂慮,都是由不信產生的。如果我時常相信—─我以往的一切都已蒙神赦免;現在的一切都帶著主的能力;將來的一切多麼光明,因為永世的真實,不會因我的冷淡而變更,不會因我的失敗而消滅─—我怎能不歡喜快樂呢?           ─司買丹 當我們帶著不信的噁心來懷疑神的應許的時候,頂希奇的,我們就得不著那應許了。這並不是說我們的信心該受神的答應,也不是說神的答應是能用信心賺得的;卻是因為神曾這樣命定;得應許的條件就是信心。賜恩者自有主權選定任何條件來換取祂的恩賜。           ─赫德 不信說:「怎樣會這樣?怎樣會那樣?」信心只用一個字去答覆他的千萬個「怎樣」,這個字就是——神!           ─馬金都 從來沒有一個人,只花極少的時間禱告,卻獲得極大的成功的。 有人說世上如果興起一個全然相信的人來世界的歷史就會隨著改變。 讀者,你願不願意起來做這個人呢?           ─馬克亞當 沒有信心的禱告,會造成無目標的慣例,卑陋的虛偽。如果你的全人還沒有同心合意地參加你的祈禱,我勸你還是再等一會兒再祈禱罷!真實的祈禱一發聲,天地都會同說阿們。耶穌基督的祈禱,就是這樣。           ─P.C.M. 沒有一件東西不能藉著祈禱求得,除非那件東西在神的旨意以外。

June 26 "For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect?"(Rom. 3:3.)  I THINK that I can trace every scrap of sorrow in my life to simple unbelief. How could I be anything but quite happy if I believed always that all the past is forgiven, and all the present furnished with power, and all the future bright with hope because of the same abiding facts which do not change with my mood, do not stumble because I totter and stagger at the promise through unbelief, but stand firm and clear with their peaks of pearl cleaving the air of Eternity, and the bases of their hills rooted unfathomably in the Rock of God. Mont Blanc does not become a phantom or a mist because a climber grows dizzy on its side.           ─James Smetham.  Is it any wonder that, when we stagger at any promise of God through unbelief, we do not receive it? Not that faith merits an answer, or in any way earns it, or works it out; but God has made believing a condition of receiving, and the Giver has a sovereign right to choose His own terms of gift.           ─Rev. Samuel Hart.  Unbelief says, "How can such and such things be?" It is full of "hows"; but faith has one great answer to the ten thousand "hows," and that answer is─GOD!           ─C. H. M. Prayer with faith brings Omnipotence to back our petitions. Better not pray unless and until your whole being responds to the efficacy of your supplication. 六月廿六日 你愛我嗎? 「彼得因為耶穌第三次對他說『你愛我嗎』,就憂愁。」約翰福音廿一章17節 在主復活以後,因著彼得曾否認主,主要使他明白其愛心是何等薄弱。其實,對我們而言也是如此,主一再地問:「你愛我嗎?」直到我們從心中誠實回答說:「主啊!您知道我愛您。」並且承認我們明白在心中和生活上,並沒彰顯祂的愛。 思想什麼才是真實相愛的記號?一個長期忠於交誼和彼此相愛的人,必會使人們看到他和朋友的友誼關係;而我們若愛基督,則可由我們樂於擁有基督內在的性情。愛使我們會去取悅於對方,我們會儘量使所愛的人快樂;同樣,對主旨意的順服可以看出我們愛心的程度,「人若愛我,就必遵守我的道……你們若遵守我的命令,就常在我的愛裏。」愛本來就是儘可能使對方高興。 愛能使雙方完全地合而為一,這是靈裡的合一。當我們試著回答「你愛我嗎?」這個問題時,讓我們省察我們與主是否有相似的性情;假如在那方面有欠缺,我們必須到愛我們的主面前謙卑的承認,並且從施恩寶座前支取能力,全心去愛祂。 當我們讀到彼得的回答:「主啊!您知道我愛您。」主就賜他能力去餵養祂的羊和小羊。既然主耶穌愛我們,找到我們,祂的愛便會激勵我們去領人歸向祂、服事祂。

六月廿六日 永遠是現在 「我們……也勸你們,不可徒受祂的恩典。」哥林多後書六章1節 你昨日所蒙的恩,是昨日的,不是今日的。恩典是神滿溢的寵愛;也可以照你所預料的取得。「在許多忍耐,患難,窮乏,困苦中」──那就是測驗忍耐的所在。你在這些方面辜負了神的恩典呢?還是說──「啊,我不計算這次呢?」這不是祈禱請求神幫助的問題;是現在承受神恩典的事實。我們以禱告為作工的準備,這種態度在聖經上絕然找不出的。禱告是承受神恩典的練習。不要說──「我忍受這,直到我能脫離它,得到充足的時間禱告為止」。現在祈禱;在需要的那一頃刻,接受神的恩典吧!禱告是最實際的事,不是由崇拜反映出來的行動。我們在禱告上能得學習接近神的恩典。「鞭打,監禁,擾亂,勞動」──在這些事裡,能彰顯接近神的恩典,不但你自己驚奇,別人也驚奇。現在就接近,不是最近的將來接近。靈性字彙上只有「現在」這個字。讓環境領你到任何地方去,總得趁著時機依靠神的恩典。依靠神恩典的大證據,你遭不公道待遇或輕視的時候只表現神的恩典,不表現別的態度。 「一無所有……」,絕對不要保留甚麼。將你最好的捨去,永遠做個貧窮的人。切不要以手段與憂慮去保留神所賜給的恩惠,是要在貧窮(指謙虛)中獲得勝利。

六月廿六日 「祂看見許多的人,就憐憫他們……」馬太福音九章36節 我們的主「能體恤我們的軟弱。」(來四15)體恤這個詞含意很深,它表示我們的困難就是基督的,我們的軟弱也是祂的。這種感受並非是一種同情的傷感,乃是指祂正與我們一同經歷苦痛的憐憫。 正因主願意與我們一同經歷苦痛,因此祂能安慰疲乏睏倦的人。事實上,這也正是這位大祭司一切行為的動機,使神能藉著祂作為我們無盡安慰的來源。所以讓我們更加認識與我們合而為一的主,並且把一切重擔都交託給祂,因祂的心充滿了愛和憐憫。 如果我們能體會一個受極大痛苦的孩子,他的神經是如何地與疼痛的部份連接著,那麼我們或許能明白我們的傷痛是如何地與基督的心連在一起。就像母親能體恤嬰兒的痛苦,好朋友能憐憫他人的悲哀一樣;我們坐在寶座上的救主,雖然在天上有無比的喜樂,但仍然能在祂的靈裡,甚至肉體上經歷我們所受的痛苦。經上說:「我們既然有一位已經升入高天尊榮的大祭司……所以我們只管坦然無懼地來到施恩的寶座前……。」(來四14—16)因此,讓我們隨時來到這位已升入高天尊榮的大祭司面前。
