1:2 願恩惠、平安從 神我們的父和主耶穌基督歸與你們！ Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 1:3 願頌讚歸與我們主耶穌基督的父 神！他在基督裏曾賜給我們天上各樣屬靈的福氣： Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. 1:4 就如 神從創立世界以前，在基督裏揀選了我們，使我們在他面前成為聖潔，無有瑕疵； For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love 1:5 又因愛我們，就按著自己意旨所喜悅的，預定我們藉著耶穌基督得兒子的名分， he(\f3 1:5 Or|i sight in love. \V 5 |iHe|d) predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will-- 1:6 使他榮耀的恩典得著稱讚；這恩典是他在愛子裏所賜給我們的。 to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves. 1:7 我們藉這愛子的血得蒙救贖，過犯得以赦免，乃是照他豐富的恩典。 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace 1:8 這恩典是 神用諸般智慧聰明，充充足足賞給我們的； that he lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding. 1:9 都是照他自己所預定的美意，叫我們知道他旨意的奧祕， And he(\f4 1:9 Or|i us. With all wisdom and understanding, \V 9 |ihe|d) made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, 1:10 要照所安排的，在日期滿足的時候，使天上、地上、一切所有的都在基督裏面同歸於一。 0 to be put into effect when the times will have reached their fulfillment--to bring all things in heaven and on earth together under one head, even Christ. 1:11 我們也在他裏面得〔得：或譚成〕了基業；這原是那位隨己意行、做萬事的，照著他旨意所預定的， In him we were also chosen, (\f5 1:11 Or|i were made heirs|d) having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will, 1:12 叫他的榮耀從我們這首先在基督裏有盼望的人可以得著稱讚。 in order that we, who were the first to hope in Christ, might be for the praise of his glory. 1:13 你們既聽見真理的道，就是那叫你們得救的福音，也信了基督，既然信他，就受了所應許的聖靈為印記。 And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, 1:14 這聖靈是我們得基業的憑據〔原文是質〕，直等到 神之民〔民：原文是產業〕被贖，使他的榮耀得著稱讚。 who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God's possession--to the praise of his glory. 1:15 因此，我既聽見你們信從主耶穌，親愛眾聖徒， For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, 1:16 就為你們不住地感謝 神。禱告的時候，常提到你們， I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers. 1:17 求我們主耶穌基督的 神，榮耀的父，將那賜人智慧和啟示的靈賞給你們，使你們真知道他， I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit(\f6 1:17 Or|i a spirit|d) of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. 1:18 並且照明你們心中的眼睛，使你們知道他的恩召有何等指望，他在聖徒中得的基業有何等豐盛的榮耀； I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, 1:19 並知道他向我們這信的人所顯的能力是何等浩大， and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is like the working of his mighty strength, 1:20 就是照他在基督身上所運行的大能大力，使他從死裏復活，叫他在天上坐在自己的右邊， which he exerted in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, 1:21 遠超過一切執政的、掌權的、有能的、主治的，和一切有名的；不但是今世的，連來世的也都超過了。 far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every title that can be given, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. 1:22 又將萬有服在他的腳下，使他為教會作萬有之首。 And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, 1:23 教會是他的身體，是那充滿萬有者所充滿的。 which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way. 三月十五日 「你這蟲雅各……不要害怕……我要使你成為有快齒打糧的新器具。」以賽亞書四一章14、15節（直譯） 蟲與快齒的器具怎樣可以相比呢？蟲是多麼軟弱，給我們石頭或車輪一壓，就會壓得稀爛；快齒的器具是多麼堅強；甚至能「把山嶺打得粉碎，使岡陵如同糠秕。」（賽四一15）但是全能的神能使蟲成為有快齒的器具。神能使個人或民族，藉著祂的靈，從蟲的軟弱到快齒器具的剛強，在歷史上留著很深的痕跡。 所以我們這些蟲不要喪膽。全能的神能使我們在四圍患難的環境中變成剛強。靠著祂的力量，我們能叫我們的環境向我們屈服，向我們進貢。我們甚至能隨便抓住一個黑色的失望，把牠劈開來，從其中抽出恩典的寶石來。神也能給我們像鐵那般的意志，所有的難處都能迎刃而解，猶如堅土遇到鐵犁那樣鬆散。神既說：「我要使你……」祂豈會不如此行呢？ ─喬懷德 基督建造祂的國度，都是用地上破碎的東西建造的。人們所要的是強健的、成功的、勝利的、不碎的；但是神所要的乃是在地上不成功的、失敗的、傷心的、軟弱的。天上充滿著地上破碎的生命，沒有一根壓傷的蘆葦是基督所不能恢復的。祂能使一個被痛苦、憂愁所壓傷的生命，變成一架彈出讚美的音樂來的古琴。祂能把地上的失敗變成天上的榮耀。 ─密勒 跟從我，我要範鑄你們， 有力地傳佈我的福音， 成為流出慈恩的溝洫， 使你們成為有用之人。 跟從我， 我要範鑄你們， 脫胎換骨， 重新做人， 有信， 有愛， 忠實虔誠， 不愧為神的子民。

March 15 "Fear not, thou worm Jacob....I will make thee a threshing instrument with teeth." (Isa. 41:14, 15.) ＣOULD any two things be in greater contrast than a worm and an instrument with teeth? The worm is delicate, bruised by a stone, crushed beneath the passing wheel; an instrument with teeth can break and not be broken; it can grave its mark upon the rock. And the mighty God can convert the one into the other. He can take a man or a nation, who has all the impotence of the worm, and by the invigoration of His own Spirit, He can endow with strength by which a noble mark is left upon the history of the time. And so the "worm" may take heart. The mighty God can make us stronger than our circumstances. He can bend them all to our good. In God's strengthwe can make them all pay tribute to our souls. We can even take hold of a black disappointment, break it open, and extract some jewel of grace. When God gives us wills like iron, we can drive through difficulties as the iron share cuts through the toughest soil. "I will make thee," and shall He not do it? ─Dr. Jowett. Christ is building His kingdom with earth's broken things. Men want only the strong, the successful, the victorious, the unbroken, in building their kingdoms; but God is the God of the unsuccessful, of those who have failed. Heaven is filling with earth's broken lives, and there is no bruised reed that Christ cannot take and restore to glorious blessedness and beauty. He can take the life crushed by pain or sorrow and make it into a harp whose music shall be all praise. he can lift earth's saddest failure up to heaven's glory. ─J. R. Miller. 三月十五日 保羅為代禱者 「我在父面前屈膝，……藉著祂的靈，叫你們心裡的力量剛強起來。」以弗所書三章14—16節 我們每逢想到保羅，就說他是偉大的傳道人、佈道家、大作家，及「格外勞苦」的大使徒；然而，我們卻不夠認識他是一位代禱者。他藉著祈求、尋求，並得著生活的能力，且能為他所服事的教會代求，帶下祝福。 我們看他上面寫給以弗所人的話，再想想他寫給帖撒羅尼迦人的話：「我們晝夜切切地祈求，以……補滿你們信心的不足；好使你們……心裡堅固，成為聖潔，無可責備。」（帖三10—13）在他寫給羅馬人書中說：「我怎樣不住的題到你們，在禱告之間。」（羅一9）寫給腓立比人書中說：「每逢為你們眾人祈求的時候，常是歡歡喜喜的祈求。」還有他寫給歌羅西人說：「我們為你們不住的禱告、祈求……」「我願意你們曉得，我為你們是何等盡心竭力。」（西一9；二1）保羅晝夜在神面前為他們呼籲，求聖靈的光與能力進入他們心內。他深信他的代求是大有功效的，照樣地，他也相信他們的代求會帶給他祝福。「我勸你們與我一同竭力，為我祈求神。」（羅十五30）「神現在仍要救我們……你們以祈禱幫助我們。」（林後一10—11）「也為我祈求，使我能放膽開口……」（弗六18—19；西四3；帖後三1）「藉著你們的禱告，終必叫我得救。」（腓一19） 神的僕人與百姓間的關係，完全基於同心合意恆切地禱告。他們之間的關係完全是屬天的、屬靈的、神聖的，只有靠恆切的禱告來維持。唯有當神的僕人與百姓能醒悟過來，知道聖靈的權能與祝福有賴於他們同心合意恆切的禱告時，教會才能真實地明白，甚麼是五旬節使徒時期的教會。 禱告： 永遠可稱頌的父啊，我們俯伏懇求您施恩，恢復教會懇求與代禱的靈——奉主的名。阿們。

三月十五日 膽怯的訓練 「跟從的人也害怕。」馬可福音十章32節 先時，我們雖然知道一些關於耶穌基督的事，樂於變賣一切所有，出於愛的去撇棄自己；但是現在卻有些恍惚。耶穌在前面，看來有些異樣。「耶穌在前頭走，門徒就希奇。」 耶穌的態度使門徒心冷，使全部靈性生活喘息不寧。祂的面容帶著鐵石的表情；而祂勇往直前的決心，尤令我感覺恐怖。祂不是導師，也不是同志；祂別有見解，我絕然不知道，徒增我的感慨與驚訝。先時我自信瞭解了祂，但是現在卻有不少的疑慮。我開始感覺耶穌基督和我之間有了阻隔，不像先前那麼熟識。祂在我前頭走，也不回頭；不知道往那裡去，祂奔赴的目標更是遙遠難知。 耶穌要探知人類所能經驗的一切罪惡與憂愁，那就是祂奇特的所在。當我們看見祂在這種情形中，不認知祂，也未瞭解祂生命的特點，更不知怎樣的追隨祂。祂在前面，像是一位奇特的領袖，與我們沒有同志的關係。 膽怯的訓練，在作門徒的訓練中，有根本的必要。最危險的是轉身依靠我們自己的小火（參賽五十10─11）。當喪膽的黑暗臨到時，耐心等待其過去，因為經過以後，我們就會覺 得追隨耶穌，有說不出的快樂。

三月十五日 「……你們要常在我的愛裡。」約翰福音十五章9節 我們能生活在很多不同的氣氛之下，有些人終日若有所思，他們的臉像個哲學家，他們也很有智慧。這些人生活在自己的感覺當中；他們對真理有主見、更有欣賞能力和審美觀念。有些人則活得像禽獸，他們生活在肉慾、眼睛的情慾之中；他們處在粗俗、下流、感官享受的氣氛之下。還有些人則生活在盡責任的壓力下，終日受良心斥責，使他們總是在恐懼的陰影之下，剝奪他們生命中的自由和生活裡的樂趣。不可否認的，這最後一種人的目的仍是誠實、正直、嚴謹的，他們的行為既不可忽視更不容置疑。 然而主基督要我們生活在愛的氣氛中。祂曾說：我愛你們，正如父愛我一樣，你們也要常在我的愛裡。在原文的版本中，祂的意思是要我們住或是生活在祂的愛裡。換言之，祂要我們永遠地活在祂的愛中，相信祂會一直愛我們，並且捉住祂的應許、享受祂的關心。這才真正是愛的生活。
