歌羅西書, 1章

^1:1 奉　神旨意，作基督耶穌使徒的保羅和兄弟提摩太 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, and Timothy our brother,
^1:2 寫信給歌羅西的聖徒，在基督裏有忠心的弟兄。願恩惠、平安從　神我們的父歸與你們！ To the holy and faithful(\f1 1:2 Or|i believing|d) brothers in Christ at Colosse: Grace and peace to you from God our Father.( \f2 1:2 Some manuscripts|i Father and the Lord Jesus Christ|d)
^1:3 我們感謝　神、我們主耶穌基督的父，常常為你們禱告； We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you,
^1:4 因聽見你們在基督耶穌裏的信心，並向眾聖徒的愛心， because we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love you have for all the saints--
^1:5 是為那給你們存在天上的盼望；這盼望就是你們從前在福音真理的道上所聽見的。 the faith and love that spring from the hope that is stored up for you in heaven and that you have already heard about in the word of truth, the gospel
^1:6 這福音傳到你們那裏，也傳到普天之下，並且結果，增長，如同在你們中間，自從你們聽見福音，真知道　神恩惠的日子一樣。 that has come to you. All over the world this gospel is bearing fruit and growing, just as it has been doing among you since the day you heard it and understood God's grace in all its truth.
^1:7 正如你們從我們所親愛、一同作僕人的以巴弗所學的。他為我們〔有古卷：你們〕作了基督忠心的執事， You learned it from Epaphras, our dear fellow servant, who is a faithful minister of Christ on our(\f3 1:7 Some manuscripts|i your|d) behalf,
^1:8 也把你們因聖靈所存的愛心告訴了我們。 and who also told us of your love in the Spirit.
^1:9 因此，我們自從聽見的日子，也就為你們不住地禱告祈求，願你們在一切屬靈的智慧悟性上，滿心知道　神的旨意； For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding.
^1:10 好叫你們行事為人對得起主，凡事蒙他喜悅，在一切善事上結果子，漸漸地多知道　神； 0 And we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God,
^1:11 照他榮耀的權能，得以在各樣的力上加力，好叫你們凡事歡歡喜喜地忍耐寬容； being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and joyfully
^1:12 又感謝父，叫我們能與眾聖徒在光明中同得基業。 giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you(\f4 1:12 Some manuscripts|i us|d) to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light.
^1:13 他救了我們脫離黑暗的權勢，把我們遷到他愛子的國裏； For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves,
^1:14 我們在愛子裏得蒙救贖，罪過得以赦免。 in whom we have redemption,( \f5 1:14 A few late manuscripts|i redemption through his blood|d) the forgiveness of sins.
^1:15 愛子是那不能看見之　神的像，是首生的，在一切被造的以先。 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.
^1:16 因為萬有都是靠他造的，無論是天上的，地上的；能看見的，不能看見的；或是有位的，主治的，執政的，掌權的；一概都是藉著他造的，又是為他造的。 For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him.
^1:17 他在萬有之先；萬有也靠他而立。 He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.
^1:18 他也是教會全體之首。他是元始，是從死裏首先復生的，使他可以在凡事上居首位。 And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy.
^1:19 因為父喜歡叫一切的豐盛在他裏面居住。 For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him,
^1:20 既然藉著他在十字加上所流的血成就了和平，便藉著他叫萬有─無論是地上的、天上的─都與自己和好了。 and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.
^1:21 你們從前與　神隔絕，因著惡行，心裏與他為敵。 Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because of(\f6 1:21 Or|i minds, as shown by|d) your evil behavior.
^1:22 但如今他藉著基督的肉身受死，叫你們與自己和好，都成了聖潔，沒有瑕疵，無可責備，把你們引到自己面前。 But now he has reconciled you by Christ's physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation--
^1:23 只要你們在所信的道上恆心，根基穩固，堅定不移，不至被引動失去〔原文是離開〕福音的盼望。這福音就是你們所聽過的，也是傳與普天下萬人聽的〔原文是凡受造的〕，我保羅也作了這福音的執事。 if you continue in your faith, established and firm, not moved from the hope held out in the gospel. This is the gospel that you heard and that has been proclaimed to every creature under heaven, and of which I, Paul, have become a servant.
^1:24 現在我為你們受苦，倒覺歡樂；並且為基督的身體，就是為教會，要在我肉身上補滿基督患難的缺欠。 Now I rejoice in what was suffered for you, and I fill up in my flesh what is still lacking in regard to Christ's afflictions, for the sake of his body, which is the church.
^1:25 我照　神為你們所賜我的職分作了教會的執事，要把　神的道理傳得全備， I have become its servant by the commission God gave me to present to you the word of God in its fullness--
^1:26 這道理就是歷世歷代所隱藏的奧祕；但如今向他的聖徒顯明了。 the mystery that has been kept hidden for ages and generations, but is now disclosed to the saints.
^1:27 　神願意叫他們知道，這奧祕在外邦人中有何等豐盛的榮耀，就是基督在你們心裏成了有榮耀的盼望。 To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
^1:28 我們傳揚他，是用諸般的智慧，勸戒各人，教導各人，要把各人在基督裏完完全全的引到　神面前。 We proclaim him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone perfect in Christ.
^1:29 我也為此勞苦，照著他在我裏面運用的大能盡心竭力。 To this end I labor, struggling with all his energy, which so powerfully works in me.

九月八日「我在困苦中，你曾使我寬廣。」詩篇四篇1節這是一個最偉大的見證。他的感謝不是因為從苦難得到釋放，乃是因為因苦難得到釋放：「我在困苦中，你曾使我寬廣。」他告訴我們：人生的困苦，就是人生寬廣的來源。經上記著約瑟在牢獄中「……被鐵捆拘。」（詩一○五18）約瑟所需要的正是鐵。他以前所看見的，只是黃金的燦爛；所享受的，只是少年的幻夢。人生的悲哀，是他所不能想像的。我們，像約瑟一樣，也都需要鐵來使我們寬廣。金不過是幻夢；鐵纔是經歷。啊！我的己哪！如果你要寬廣，你必須先去受苦。約瑟的牢獄，是約瑟登寶座的路徑。如果你自己沒有被鐵捆拘，你就不能取去你弟兄的鐵荷。神用悲哀的鐵鏈約束你，為要使你寬廣。（擴張）你生命的工具。這是你生命上的陰影，也是你光榮之夢的真正實現。不要抱怨陰影,它比你的夢想含有更大的啟示。不要以為監獄生活桎梏了你，你的桎梏就是翅翼，帶你飛到人群的懷抱裏。監獄的門可以通往乾坤萬有的中心。神以悲哀的鎖鍊捆縛你，寬廣（擴張）了你的人格。　　　　　　　　　　─馬得勝如果約瑟不做埃及的囚犯，絕不能做埃及的宰相。他腳上的鐵鏈，引進了他頸上的金鍊。　　　　　　　　　　─選

■ 英文荒漠甘泉（09月08日）

September 8 "Thou hast enlarged me when I was is distress." (Psalm 4:1) 　ＴHIS is one of the grandest testimonies ever given by man to the moral government of God. It is not a man's thanksgiving that he has been set free from suffering. It is a thanksgiving that he has been set free through suffering: "Thou hast enlarged me when I was in distress." He declares the sorrows of life to have been themselves the source of life's enlargement. 　And have not you and I a thousand times felt this to be true? It is written of Joseph in the dungeon that "the iron entered into his soul." We all feel that what Joseph needed for his soul was just the iron. He had seen only the glitter of the gold. He had been rejoicing in youthful dreams; and dreaming hardens the heart. He who sheds tears over a romance will not be most apt to help reality; real sorrow will be too unpoetic for him. We need the iron to enlarge our nature. The gold is but a vision; the iron is an experience. The chain which unites me to humanity must be an iron chain. That touch of nature which makes the world akin is not joy, but sorrow; gold is partial, but iron is universal. 　My soul, if thou wouldst be enlarged into human sympathy, thou must be narrowed into limited of human suffering. Joseph's dungeon is the road to Joseph's throne. Thou canst not lift the iron load of thy brother if the iron hath not entered into thee. It is thy limit that is thine enlargement. It is the shadows of thy life that are than real fulfillment of thy dreams of glory. Murmur not at the shadows; they are better revelations than thy dreams. Say not that the shades of the prison-house have fettered thee; thy fetters are wings─wings of flight into the bosom of humanity. The door of thy prison-house is a door into the heart of the universe. 九月八日　天國唯一的亮光和靈是從天使和萬物之靈被造以前，從永遠一直到永遠，使得天使和萬物之靈可藉此與神合一和交通；當人支取光和靈的能力去接受救贖，就會有神裏面的新生、再造，就和首次被造的榮光一樣。從我們的主以天國近了，或降臨於人間比作福音的光景，因為這國沒有屬世的事物，被造的能力和從人間的事物，其中的人必須完全的捨己；只有創造天地萬物的神在其中運行，人間的國度藉著不斷的屬天啟示和光照與此國得以合一。何等美的新約聖經，雖然並無證明天國即為福音，除非藉聖靈所生，神的國就無法進入；除非為聖靈引導，神的國就無法繼續；除非是聖靈的果子，任何思想、渴望和行動都無法支取聖靈。「願您的國降臨，願您的旨意行在地上，如同行在天上」，神的國是在天上，豈不是也在那些彰顯神的人身上嗎？祂的旨意因聖靈生命和能力運行在屬祂之人身上，使之活出祂的旨意。我們都會背主禱文，但若要照著去做，就要屬靈繼續的啟示和光照。若其他的能力不被除掉，神的國從何降臨？若非聖靈引導我們遵行神的旨意，那祂的旨意又要如何被遵行？然而基督卻以極寶貴的應許：「我要永遠與你同在！」「與」可改成「在」——藉著信心，基督和父神內住在心中，哦！每位要得到基督內住的訣要──我要常與你同在——的人必須要學習像小孩單純的相信接受此真理。

九月八日　自己作決意毀滅這些事：「將各樣的計謀，各樣攔阻人認識神的那些自高之事，一概攻破了。」哥林多後書十章5節解脫罪孽，並不是解脫人性。人性裡所有的，例如成見，聖者是要藉著疏忽來毀滅的。此外還有些是要藉著暴力來毀滅的，例如藉著神的靈所分予的神力。有些事，我們不必攻擊，只要等候神的救恩，就能穩妥立住。但是每種原理或概念，如果建立起來，成為反對神知識的營壘，就要藉著神的權能，不是藉著肉體的奮鬥或妥協（十4），所能毀滅的。只有在神改變我們的性質，我們有了成聖經驗的時候，戰爭就開始了。戰爭不是攻擊罪；我們從來不能攻擊罪；耶穌基督是以救贖去對付罪。我們把自然的生命變成靈性的生命，衝突是不免的，也不是容易對付的，就是神也不以那為容易對付的事。這僅僅只有一組道德的選擇，才能成功的。神不是要我們在品性上成為聖潔；卻是赦免我們所不感覺的罪，叫我們成為聖潔，藉著一組道德的選擇，叫我們為義人。這些選擇不斷的反抗我們自然生命的侵襲，就是那些反對神知識的事。我們或是退卻，叫自己在天國裡無分，要不然，就當決心毀滅這些事，讓耶穌再領別的兒子到光榮中。

九月八日「吃我肉的人，也要因我活著。」約翰福音六章57節神兒女所需要的並不只是許多的教導，而是主耶穌生命的糧。好的麥不見得就是好的食物，因為未經磨、烤、消化、吸收，這麥就沒有任何作用。同樣的道理，純淨高深的真理也無法自動地使人聖潔、或滿足人靈魂的需要。新約中的信息，是主基督由祂口中所呼出的生命，並且擁有活潑的能力。所以，只要我們住在祂裡面，吸收祂的生命，我們就可以得到滋養、能力、安慰及醫治。神醫治的秘訣，不在單單相信一個教條、墨守一個儀式，更不是靠著邏輯的信心或毅力絕望地祈禱，而是藉著領受神的生命而來。這種生命的接觸除了有屬靈見識的人之外，其他人都無法瞭解。所以有時極小的真理比許多的教導，更能帶給我們幫助和祝福。
