1:1 奉 神旨意作基督耶穌使徒的保羅和兄弟提摩太，寫信給在哥林多 神的教會，並亞該亞遍處的眾聖徒。 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, and Timothy our brother,To the church of God in Corinth, together with all the saints throughout Achaia:
1:2 願恩惠、平安從 神我們的父和主耶穌基督歸與你們！ Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 1:3 願頌讚歸與我們的主耶穌基督的父 神，就是發慈悲的父，賜各樣安慰的 神。 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, 1:4 我們在一切患難中，他就安慰我們，叫我們能用 神所賜的安慰去安慰那遭各樣患難的人。 who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. 1:5 我們既多受基督的苦楚，就靠基督多得安慰。 For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into our lives, so also through Christ our comfort overflows. 1:6 我們受患難呢，是為叫你們得安慰，得拯救；我們得安慰呢，也是為叫你們得安慰；這安慰能叫你們忍受我們所受的那樣苦楚。 If we are distressed, it is for your comfort and salvation; if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you patient endurance of the same sufferings we suffer. 1:7 我們為你們所存的盼望是確定的，因為知道你們既是同受苦楚，也必同得安慰。 And our hope for you is firm, because we know that just as you share in our sufferings, so also you share in our comfort. 1:8 弟兄們，我們不要你們不曉得，我們從前在亞細亞遭遇苦難，被壓太重，力不能勝，甚至連活命的指望都絕了； We do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about the hardships we suffered in the province of Asia. We were under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure, so that we despaired even of life. 1:9 自己心裏也斷定是必死的，叫我們不靠自己，只靠叫死人復活的 神。 Indeed, in our hearts we felt the sentence of death. But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead. 1:10 他曾救我們脫離那極大的死亡，現在仍要救我們，並且我們指望他將來還要救我們。 0 He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us. On him we have set our hope that he will continue to deliver us, 1:11 你們以祈禱幫助我們，好叫許多人為我們謝恩，就是為我們因許多人所得的恩。 as you help us by your prayers. Then many will give thanks on our(\f1 1:11 Many manuscripts|i your|d) behalf for the gracious favor granted us in answer to the prayers of many. 1:12 我們所誇的是自己的良心，見證我們憑著 神的聖潔和誠實；在世為人不靠人的聰明，乃靠 神的恩惠，向你們更是這樣。 Now this is our boast: Our conscience testifies that we have conducted ourselves in the world, and especially in our relations with you, in the holiness and sincerity that are from God. We have done so not according to worldly wisdom but according to God's grace. 1:13 我們現在寫給你們的話，並不外乎你們所念的，所認識的，我也盼望你們到底還是要認識； For we do not write you anything you cannot read or understand. And I hope that, 1:14 正如你們已經有幾分認識我們，以我們誇口，好像我們在我們主耶穌的日子以你們誇口一樣。 as you have understood us in part, you will come to understand fully that you can boast of us just as we will boast of you in the day of the Lord Jesus. 1:15 我既然這樣深信，就早有意到你們那裏去，叫你們再得益處； Because I was confident of this, I planned to visit you first so that you might benefit twice. 1:16 也要從你們那裏經過，往馬其頓去，再從馬其頓回到你們那裏，叫你們給我送行往猶太去。 I planned to visit you on my way to Macedonia and to come back to you from Macedonia, and then to have you send me on my way to Judea. 1:17 我有此意，豈是反覆不定嗎？我所起的意，豈是從情慾起的，叫我忽是忽非嗎？ When I planned this, did I do it lightly? Or do I make my plans in a worldly manner so that in the same breath I say, <<Yes, yes>> and <<No, no>>? 1:18 我指著信實的 神說，我們向你們所傳的道，並沒有是而又非的。 But as surely as God is faithful, our message to you is not <<Yes>> and <<No.>> 1:19 因為我和西拉並提摩太，在你們中間所傳 神的兒子耶穌基督，總沒有是而又非的，在他只有一是。 For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by me and Silas(\f2 1:19 Greek|i Silvanus|d, a variant of|i Silas|d0 and Timothy, was not <<Yes>> and <<No,>> but in him it has always been <<Yes.>> 1:20 神的應許，不論有多少，在基督都是是的。所以藉著他也都是實在〔實在：原文是阿們〕的，叫 神因我們得榮耀。 For no matter how many promises God has made, they are <<Yes>> in Christ. And so through him the <<Amen>> is spoken by us to the glory of God. 1:21 那在基督裏堅固我們和你們，並且膏我們的就是 神。 Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, 1:22 他又用印印了我們，並賜聖靈在我們心裏作憑據〔原文是質〕。 set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come. 1:23 我呼籲 神給我的心作見證，我沒有往哥林多去是為要寬容你們。 I call God as my witness that it was in order to spare you that I did not return to Corinth. 1:24 我們並不是轄管你們的信心，乃是幫助你們的快樂，因為你們憑信才站立得住。 Not that we lord it over your faith, but we work with you for your joy, because it is by faith you stand firm. 十二月十五日 「當將你的事交託耶和華，並倚靠祂。」詩篇卅七章5節 「依靠」是信的基本形態，它出於舊約，用來表示初民時期的信心。「信心」一詞所表示的，以意志的活動較多。「信仰」一詞所表現的，以精神或理智的活動較多，但「信靠」卻發自心的根本。「信心」和「信仰」比較接近於一種業已相信的真理或期望。 「依靠」則含有更多的意義，它看到，感覺到，並且依靠著一個對象，依靠著那偉大，真實，永生的愛，但願我們在一再延誤之後，不顧一切困難，不顧一切逆境，不顧各種外表的情勢，甚至當我們不明路徑，不知因果的時候，也「依靠」。永遠「依靠祂，祂就必成全」。路途會開通，正義會來到，平安會降臨，烏雲會散開，永恆的正午之光終會照耀。 信心遭受著嚴酷的考驗， 你當對神安心倚靠； 莫讓憂懼或仇敵把你騷擾， 等待神， 安心倚靠。 以持久的信心對祂倚靠， 像巢裏的一隻幼鳥， 躲在祂的羽毛之下， 縮著翅膀， 安心倚靠。

December 15 "Trust also in him." (Psalm 37:5) ＴHE word trust is the heart word of faith. It is the Old Testament word, the word given to the early and infant stage of faith. The word faith expresses more the act of the will, the word belief the act of the mind or intellect, but trust is the language of the heart. The other has reference more to a truth believed or a thing expected. Trust implies more than this, it sees and feels, and leans upon a person, a great, true, living heart of love. So let us "trust also in him," through all the delays, in spite of all the difficulties, in the face of all the denials, notwithstanding all the seemings, even when we cannot understand the way, and know not the issue; still "trust also in him, and he will bring it to pass." The way will open, the right issue will come, the end will be peace, the cloud will be lifted, and the light of an eternal noonday shall shine at last. "Trust and rest when all around thee Puts thy faith to sorest test; Let no fear or foe confound thee, Wait for God and trust and rest. "Trust and rest with heart abiding, Like a birding in its nest, Underneath His feathers hiding, Fold thy wings and trust and rest."

十二月十五日 仁愛的心 「聖靈所結的果子，就是仁愛。」加拉太書五章22節 「神賜給我們……是……仁愛的心。」提摩太后書一章7節 我們所結仁愛聖靈的果子，不僅在於有關或相信因著神的愛所賜給我們的救贖，實際上比此深很多。仁愛的本質原來就是神藉聖靈已將仁愛澆灌在我們心中，我們不只可體驗或感覺；仁愛的靈也會引導我們前進，掌管並感動我們。這種帶來屬天生命的能力於心靈之中，藉此，人能體會神是良善；聖靈所賜的愛是幫助我們毫無困難地遵守誡命，而「我們遵守神的誡命，這就是愛祂了，並且祂的誡命不是難守的。」（約壹五3） 根據神的應許，祂將誡命寫在我們心中，而誡命的總歸就是愛；這將管理人的生命完全地獻給神，並且控制他的思想和行為。這神聖的愛在人心中好像神顯能力的處所，藉著遵守愛的律法，使我們永遠活在神的愛中。這聖潔的愛也包括與父神交通，和基督合一併愛弟兄。 我如何能單單藉著信心體驗這真理呢？當年瞎子和瘸子自知無法自救，但單憑信心來到主面前就得醫治。當我們眼睛一開，我們就會體驗神藉著已經澆灌下的聖靈，使我們遵守祂的命令去愛弟兄。讓我們在神面前俯伏敬拜那掌管我們心思的愛，直到我們能藉著信心，堅定地說：「神確實將仁愛的靈放在我們心中，藉著聖靈的能力，我能也願意愛神並教會中的肢體。」

十二月十五日 蒙神的喜悅 「你當竭力，在神面前得蒙喜悅，作無愧的工人，按著正意分解真理的道。」提摩太后書二章15節 你如果在甚麼問題上不能有所貢獻，就當竭力直到你能貢獻為止。如果你不欲有所貢獻，就有人在他的生活中愈見貧困。努力向自己表現神的真理，神必用那種表現轉給別人。忍受神壓搾葡萄的酒搾，努力使你的表現實驗化，時候必到，那種表現會變成酒，增強別人的力量。但如果你懶散的說──「我不要努力向自己表現這事，我可以借助別人的經驗，」那裡表現不但於你無益，也於人無益。試向自己覆述你實際所感覺的神的真理。給神一個機會，藉著你轉給別人。 你應把你的心養成容易接受事情。我們的地位不是我們自己的，只有經過痛苦，才能使它成為我們的。一個告訴你所不知道的作者，不一定能叫你得益處，只有那一個把你心中所說不出來，而說出來的作者，才能叫你受益。

十二月十五日 「我心裡發昏的時候，我要從地極求告您，求您領我到那比我更高的磐石。」詩篇六十一篇2節 在信心的能力下，一切的困難、危險都將消失。藉著信心，耶利哥城在以色列人繞了七次後倒下來。可見在穩定得勝的信心之下，最穩固的堡壘，以及人都將招架不住。 聖經告訴我們但以理因為信神，靠著信心得以使獅子閉口，得到了釋放。救但以理的不是他正直的生活態度，或是勇敢的節操，乃是他對耶和華的信心。這樣的信心使得諸多神的兒女在日常生命中能逃離死亡，勇敢面對災難的恐嚇。每一個困難再小，也有其操練我們的價值；每一個危機再大，得勝的歡呼必在前頭。 讓我們拿著信心的盾牌，以信心束腰，來證明考驗信心的所有機會都是好的。那麼即使我們行過地獄，仍然有吸引人的生命，並且知道當我們做完在世的事工後，將會有永恆的生命為我們存留。
