1:1 奉 神旨意作基督耶穌使徒的保羅和兄弟提摩太，寫信給在哥林多 神的教會，並亞該亞遍處的眾聖徒。 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, and Timothy our brother,To the church of God in Corinth, together with all the saints throughout Achaia:
1:2 願恩惠、平安從 神我們的父和主耶穌基督歸與你們！ Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 1:3 願頌讚歸與我們的主耶穌基督的父 神，就是發慈悲的父，賜各樣安慰的 神。 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, 1:4 我們在一切患難中，他就安慰我們，叫我們能用 神所賜的安慰去安慰那遭各樣患難的人。 who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. 1:5 我們既多受基督的苦楚，就靠基督多得安慰。 For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into our lives, so also through Christ our comfort overflows. 1:6 我們受患難呢，是為叫你們得安慰，得拯救；我們得安慰呢，也是為叫你們得安慰；這安慰能叫你們忍受我們所受的那樣苦楚。 If we are distressed, it is for your comfort and salvation; if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you patient endurance of the same sufferings we suffer. 1:7 我們為你們所存的盼望是確定的，因為知道你們既是同受苦楚，也必同得安慰。 And our hope for you is firm, because we know that just as you share in our sufferings, so also you share in our comfort. 1:8 弟兄們，我們不要你們不曉得，我們從前在亞細亞遭遇苦難，被壓太重，力不能勝，甚至連活命的指望都絕了； We do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about the hardships we suffered in the province of Asia. We were under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure, so that we despaired even of life. 1:9 自己心裏也斷定是必死的，叫我們不靠自己，只靠叫死人復活的 神。 Indeed, in our hearts we felt the sentence of death. But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead. 1:10 他曾救我們脫離那極大的死亡，現在仍要救我們，並且我們指望他將來還要救我們。 0 He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us. On him we have set our hope that he will continue to deliver us, 1:11 你們以祈禱幫助我們，好叫許多人為我們謝恩，就是為我們因許多人所得的恩。 as you help us by your prayers. Then many will give thanks on our(\f1 1:11 Many manuscripts|i your|d) behalf for the gracious favor granted us in answer to the prayers of many. 1:12 我們所誇的是自己的良心，見證我們憑著 神的聖潔和誠實；在世為人不靠人的聰明，乃靠 神的恩惠，向你們更是這樣。 Now this is our boast: Our conscience testifies that we have conducted ourselves in the world, and especially in our relations with you, in the holiness and sincerity that are from God. We have done so not according to worldly wisdom but according to God's grace. 1:13 我們現在寫給你們的話，並不外乎你們所念的，所認識的，我也盼望你們到底還是要認識； For we do not write you anything you cannot read or understand. And I hope that, 1:14 正如你們已經有幾分認識我們，以我們誇口，好像我們在我們主耶穌的日子以你們誇口一樣。 as you have understood us in part, you will come to understand fully that you can boast of us just as we will boast of you in the day of the Lord Jesus. 1:15 我既然這樣深信，就早有意到你們那裏去，叫你們再得益處； Because I was confident of this, I planned to visit you first so that you might benefit twice. 1:16 也要從你們那裏經過，往馬其頓去，再從馬其頓回到你們那裏，叫你們給我送行往猶太去。 I planned to visit you on my way to Macedonia and to come back to you from Macedonia, and then to have you send me on my way to Judea. 1:17 我有此意，豈是反覆不定嗎？我所起的意，豈是從情慾起的，叫我忽是忽非嗎？ When I planned this, did I do it lightly? Or do I make my plans in a worldly manner so that in the same breath I say, <<Yes, yes>> and <<No, no>>? 1:18 我指著信實的 神說，我們向你們所傳的道，並沒有是而又非的。 But as surely as God is faithful, our message to you is not <<Yes>> and <<No.>> 1:19 因為我和西拉並提摩太，在你們中間所傳 神的兒子耶穌基督，總沒有是而又非的，在他只有一是。 For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by me and Silas(\f2 1:19 Greek|i Silvanus|d, a variant of|i Silas|d0 and Timothy, was not <<Yes>> and <<No,>> but in him it has always been <<Yes.>> 1:20 神的應許，不論有多少，在基督都是是的。所以藉著他也都是實在〔實在：原文是阿們〕的，叫 神因我們得榮耀。 For no matter how many promises God has made, they are <<Yes>> in Christ. And so through him the <<Amen>> is spoken by us to the glory of God. 1:21 那在基督裏堅固我們和你們，並且膏我們的就是 神。 Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, 1:22 他又用印印了我們，並賜聖靈在我們心裏作憑據〔原文是質〕。 set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come. 1:23 我呼籲 神給我的心作見證，我沒有往哥林多去是為要寬容你們。 I call God as my witness that it was in order to spare you that I did not return to Corinth. 1:24 我們並不是轄管你們的信心，乃是幫助你們的快樂，因為你們憑信才站立得住。 Not that we lord it over your faith, but we work with you for your joy, because it is by faith you stand firm. 二月八日 單獨親近神 「耶穌自己禱告。」路加福音九章18節 「（祂）就獨自又退到山上去了。」約翰福音六章15節 人需要神，神造人是為了祂自己。要人在裡面單獨地得著祂的生命和喜樂。 人需要單獨的親近神。但是人因為有肉體和世界的情慾，便墮落到暫時並可見之事物的權勢底下。他的恢復就是重新回到父的家裡，活在父的同在、父的慈愛，和父的交通裡面。救恩就是帶領人愛慕，並喜悅與神同在。 人需要單獨的與神同在。沒有這個，神就得不著機會照到人的心裡，藉著祂聖潔的工作改變人的本性，並且神的豐滿也不能充滿到人的裡面。 人需要單獨的與神同在，將他自己降服在祂的聖潔、祂的生命、祂慈愛的能力面前。基督在地上的時候，也需要這個。若是祂沒有常常離開那些圍繞祂的事物，去單獨親近神，祂就不能在肉身中活出那一個「子」的生命。而這一個對於我們更是何等的需要呢！ 當我們的主給我們那祝福的命令，叫我們進入我們的內室，關上門，單獨禱告我們在暗中的父的時候，祂也給我們應許，父必要聽這樣的禱告，並且在人的面前，並在我們的生活中大大地報答我們。 單獨的親近神——這是真實禱告的秘訣，也是在禱告裡真實的能力；並且是真的、活的，與神面對面的相交和事奉的能力。若沒有每天單獨親近神，就沒有真的、深的與神談話；也沒有真的、深的聖潔；同時也不能穿上聖靈和能力，更沒有長久的平安和喜樂。除了多多長久的單獨親近神之外，就沒有進入聖潔之路。 每天早晨實習隱密處的禱告，是一個何等不可估量的權利呢！讓我們的心放在這上面尋找、尋見，並碰見神。我的心哪，要花時間來單獨親近神。以後你就要對那些以為五分鐘的禱告就夠了的人，覺得驚奇了。 「我的王，我的神阿，求您垂聽我呼求的聲音，因為我向您禱告。」（詩五2）

二月八日 及時和不斷的成聖 「願賜平安的神，親自使你們全然成聖。」帖撒羅尼迦前書五章23—24節 當我們祈求成聖的時候，是準備遵照這兩節聖經的標準麼？我們把「成聖」這名詞看得太輕了。我們準備為成聖付上任何代價嗎？成聖的代價，是要我們對於人世的興趣縮到最小，對於神的興趣擴到無限的大。成聖的意思，是聚精會神於神之一點。那便是說，把身心靈的各種精力專為神的旨意保存著。我們準備讓神在我們裡面施行祂所派遣的一切麼？神在我們裡面的工作告成以後，我們是否像耶穌那樣順服神呢？「因他們的緣故，我自己成聖。」我們之中有些人沒有得到成聖的經驗，原因是我們沒有從神的觀點來領悟成聖的意義。成聖的意義，是與耶穌合而為一，讓支配祂的品格來支配我們。我們要準備付上相當的代價，代價便是我們裡面一切不屬神的事情。 我們準備接受使徒保羅祈禱的指揮麼？我們準備說：「主啊，願您使我成聖，就如您藉著恩典使罪人所能達到的成聖一樣。」耶穌禱告說，惟願我們與祂合而為一，正如祂與父合而為一一樣。聖靈在人裡面唯一事工，是叫人與耶穌基督發生家族的相像，脫去一切與祂不像的成分。我們準備分別自己，讓聖靈在我們裡面操持一切麼？

二月八日 「並不是我們憑自己能承擔甚麼事，我們所能承擔的，乃是出於神」哥林多後書三章5節 「神能將多樣的恩惠，多多地加給你們，使你們凡事常常充足」哥林多後書九章8節 不足及充足是完全相反的兩個名詞，然而得知自己的不足、認識神的充足，卻是得勝基督徒的秘訣。 當我們發現且承認自己完全無助時，我們就可以從神那裡不斷地得到屬靈的糧食。舊約的時候，神使人看見自己的失敗；新約時，神將基督的豐富顯現給世人看。神能將各樣的恩惠加給我們，但我們必須先接受我們不足的事實。 簡言之，基督徒得以完全的重點，在於不斷地否定自我的義、繼續接受基督的義。當我們接納我們空無所有，以及敗壞的事實，才能使我們祈求祂的恩惠。然而，承認知道我們的不足，卻不抓住神多樣的恩惠，是極為可能的事。所以我們必須靠著信心，不得到完全的祝福絕不罷手。
