1:1 奉 神旨意作基督耶穌使徒的保羅和兄弟提摩太，寫信給在哥林多 神的教會，並亞該亞遍處的眾聖徒。 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, and Timothy our brother,To the church of God in Corinth, together with all the saints throughout Achaia:
1:2 願恩惠、平安從 神我們的父和主耶穌基督歸與你們！ Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 1:3 願頌讚歸與我們的主耶穌基督的父 神，就是發慈悲的父，賜各樣安慰的 神。 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, 1:4 我們在一切患難中，他就安慰我們，叫我們能用 神所賜的安慰去安慰那遭各樣患難的人。 who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. 1:5 我們既多受基督的苦楚，就靠基督多得安慰。 For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into our lives, so also through Christ our comfort overflows. 1:6 我們受患難呢，是為叫你們得安慰，得拯救；我們得安慰呢，也是為叫你們得安慰；這安慰能叫你們忍受我們所受的那樣苦楚。 If we are distressed, it is for your comfort and salvation; if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you patient endurance of the same sufferings we suffer. 1:7 我們為你們所存的盼望是確定的，因為知道你們既是同受苦楚，也必同得安慰。 And our hope for you is firm, because we know that just as you share in our sufferings, so also you share in our comfort. 1:8 弟兄們，我們不要你們不曉得，我們從前在亞細亞遭遇苦難，被壓太重，力不能勝，甚至連活命的指望都絕了； We do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about the hardships we suffered in the province of Asia. We were under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure, so that we despaired even of life. 1:9 自己心裏也斷定是必死的，叫我們不靠自己，只靠叫死人復活的 神。 Indeed, in our hearts we felt the sentence of death. But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead. 1:10 他曾救我們脫離那極大的死亡，現在仍要救我們，並且我們指望他將來還要救我們。 0 He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us. On him we have set our hope that he will continue to deliver us, 1:11 你們以祈禱幫助我們，好叫許多人為我們謝恩，就是為我們因許多人所得的恩。 as you help us by your prayers. Then many will give thanks on our(\f1 1:11 Many manuscripts|i your|d) behalf for the gracious favor granted us in answer to the prayers of many. 1:12 我們所誇的是自己的良心，見證我們憑著 神的聖潔和誠實；在世為人不靠人的聰明，乃靠 神的恩惠，向你們更是這樣。 Now this is our boast: Our conscience testifies that we have conducted ourselves in the world, and especially in our relations with you, in the holiness and sincerity that are from God. We have done so not according to worldly wisdom but according to God's grace. 1:13 我們現在寫給你們的話，並不外乎你們所念的，所認識的，我也盼望你們到底還是要認識； For we do not write you anything you cannot read or understand. And I hope that, 1:14 正如你們已經有幾分認識我們，以我們誇口，好像我們在我們主耶穌的日子以你們誇口一樣。 as you have understood us in part, you will come to understand fully that you can boast of us just as we will boast of you in the day of the Lord Jesus. 1:15 我既然這樣深信，就早有意到你們那裏去，叫你們再得益處； Because I was confident of this, I planned to visit you first so that you might benefit twice. 1:16 也要從你們那裏經過，往馬其頓去，再從馬其頓回到你們那裏，叫你們給我送行往猶太去。 I planned to visit you on my way to Macedonia and to come back to you from Macedonia, and then to have you send me on my way to Judea. 1:17 我有此意，豈是反覆不定嗎？我所起的意，豈是從情慾起的，叫我忽是忽非嗎？ When I planned this, did I do it lightly? Or do I make my plans in a worldly manner so that in the same breath I say, <<Yes, yes>> and <<No, no>>? 1:18 我指著信實的 神說，我們向你們所傳的道，並沒有是而又非的。 But as surely as God is faithful, our message to you is not <<Yes>> and <<No.>> 1:19 因為我和西拉並提摩太，在你們中間所傳 神的兒子耶穌基督，總沒有是而又非的，在他只有一是。 For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by me and Silas(\f2 1:19 Greek|i Silvanus|d, a variant of|i Silas|d0 and Timothy, was not <<Yes>> and <<No,>> but in him it has always been <<Yes.>> 1:20 神的應許，不論有多少，在基督都是是的。所以藉著他也都是實在〔實在：原文是阿們〕的，叫 神因我們得榮耀。 For no matter how many promises God has made, they are <<Yes>> in Christ. And so through him the <<Amen>> is spoken by us to the glory of God. 1:21 那在基督裏堅固我們和你們，並且膏我們的就是 神。 Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, 1:22 他又用印印了我們，並賜聖靈在我們心裏作憑據〔原文是質〕。 set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come. 1:23 我呼籲 神給我的心作見證，我沒有往哥林多去是為要寬容你們。 I call God as my witness that it was in order to spare you that I did not return to Corinth. 1:24 我們並不是轄管你們的信心，乃是幫助你們的快樂，因為你們憑信才站立得住。 Not that we lord it over your faith, but we work with you for your joy, because it is by faith you stand firm. 二月廿一日 「你當默然倚靠耶和華，耐性等候祂。」詩篇卅七章7節 你有沒有禱告了又禱告，等候了又等候，而仍舊沒有效果呢？ 你看見沒有效果，覺得厭倦麼？你正想放棄麼？你或許要想你等候錯了。如果你這樣想，就會叫你離開正路——離開神所能遇見你的地方了。 「忍耐等候。」（羅八25）忍耐能挪去愁煩。若是主說祂要來，祂的應許就等於祂的同在。忍耐也能擦去你的眼淚。為甚麼難過沮喪呢？祂比你自己更知道你的需要，祂等候的目的，乃是要使你得到更榮耀、更豐富的祝福。忍耐也能挪去自己的工作。主所要求的工作乃是「信」（約六29），當你相信的時候，你就會知道一切都已經成功了。忍耐也能挪去一切的慾望，你切望得到你所要的慾望，也許遠勝過完成神的旨意。 忍耐也能挪去一切的軟弱。忍耐不是懶惰，也不是虛度光陰。你既知道神在預備更榮耀、更豐富的祝福給你，你自己也必須預備去接受。忍耐也能挪去一切的飄搖無定，「扶我站起來。」（但八18）神的根基是頂穩固的；我們有祂的忍耐在裏面，我們等候的時候也穩固了。忍耐有讚美和快樂。讚美的忍耐——「歡歡喜喜的忍耐」（西一11）——是最美麗的忍耐。「但願忍耐成功。」（雅一4，直譯）叫我們在等候中得到神豐富的恩典。 ─C.H.P 火焰燃燒在你胸中， 正是領受內心教訓的時候， 要把握得住， 不再怔忡， 捨此別無瞻顧， 忍耐必獲成功。 ─L.S.P.

February 21 "Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him."(Psalm 37:7.) ＨAVE you prayed and prayed and waited and waited, and still there is no manifestation? Are you tired of seeing nothing move? Are you just at the point of giving it all up? Perhaps you have not waited in the right way? This would take you out of the right place─the place where he can meet you. "With patience wait" (Rom. 8:25). Patience takes away worry. He said He would come, and His promise is equal to His presence. Patience takes away your weeping. Why feel sad and despondent? He knows your need better than you do, and His purpose in waiting is to bring more glory out of it all. Patience takes away self-works. The work He desires is that you "believe" (John 6:29), and when you believe, you may then know that all is well. Patience takes away all want. Your desire for the thing you wish is perhaps stronger than your desire for the will of God to be fulfilled in its arrival. Patience takes away all weakening. Instead of having the delaying time, a time of letting go, know that God is getting a larger supply ready and must get you ready too. Patience takes away all wobbling. "Make me stand upon my standing" (Daniel 8:18, margin). God's foundations are steady; and when His patience is within, we are steady while we wait. Patience gives worship. A praiseful patience sometimes "long-suffering with joyfulness" (Col. 1:11) is the best part of it all. "Let (all these phases of) patience have her perfect work" (James 1:4), while you wait, and you will find great enrichment. ─C. H. P. 二月廿一日 神的聖潔（舊約） 「你們要聖潔，因為我是聖潔的，我是叫你們成聖的耶和華。」利未記十一章45節，十九章2節，廿章7—8節，廿一章8、15、23節，廿二章9、16節。 在利未記裡，這些話反覆述說了有九次之多。以色列人學習認識聖潔是神最高最榮耀的性情，所以祂子民也必須有這些特性。凡誠心要正確地認識神，在隱密處與祂相交的人，必須追求聖潔，因為祂是聖潔的。那來到神面前的祭司，必須分別出來，過一個聖潔的生活。 先知以賽亞也說，我看見主坐在高高的寶座上，撒拉弗彼此呼喊說：「聖哉，聖哉，聖哉，萬軍之耶和華。」（賽六3）這是在極深的敬畏中俯伏敬拜的聲音。 那時我說：「禍哉，我滅亡了，因我眼見大君王萬軍之耶和華。」這是一個破碎痛悔的心所發出來的呼聲。然後，有一撒拉弗用從壇上取下來的紅炭，沾他的口，說：「看哪，這炭沾了你的嘴，你的罪孽便除掉，你的罪惡就赦免了。」這是恩典和全備救贖的聲音。 之後，神說：「我可以差遣誰呢？」那樂意的心回答說：「我在這裡，請差遣我！」帶著聖潔的敬畏停在這裡，求神啟示祂自己是聖者。「那至高至上，住在永遠，名為聖潔者的如此說：『我住在至高至聖的所在，也與心靈痛悔謙卑的人同居。』」（賽五十七15）要安靜在神偉大的榮耀和極深的謙卑中，敬拜祂、願意住在我們裡面，與我們同住。 神的兒女，如果你要在隱密處遇見天父，你就要在祂聖潔的榮耀裡，低頭俯伏敬拜祂。給祂時間來向你啟示祂自己。認識神是至聖的，是一個不可言喻的恩典。「你們要聖潔，因為我耶和華你們的神是聖潔的。」「聖哉，聖哉，聖哉，萬軍之耶和華。」「以聖潔為裝飾敬拜耶和華。」「願主，我們神的榮美歸於我們身上。」（詩九十17）

二月廿一日 你曾為祂的緣故，不顧一切麼？ 「她在我身上作的是一件美事。」馬可福音十四章6節 如果人類的愛不能使一個人超出自己本身，那就不是愛了。如果愛總是慎重，聰慧，總是敏於計算，從不令人驚心動魄，那也不全是愛了。那也許是情感，也許是情熱，但沒有愛的真質在裡面。 我曾不顧一切的去替神作事，不是因為那是我的本分，不是因為那件事有用，也不是因為於我愛祂以外別有所圖麼？我能把神認為有價值的事獻在神之前麼？或是我在祂無量的救贖裡玩忽歲月，而不乘時做一番事業呢？算為奇偉的，不是神聖偉大的事。卻是證明我是屬祂的那些最平凡的事算為奇偉。我曾使主耶穌的心裡發生伯大尼的馬利亞所引起的感想麼？ 有時神似乎是等候我們現出怎樣熱烈愛祂的標幟。熱烈的愛神比打算自己的純潔還有價值。自身的純潔是集中目標在我們自己的純潔上；我們極關心我們視聽言動的姿態，唯恐我們觸犯祂。如果我們一旦順服神，獲取了完全的愛，那一切就不算甚麼了。我們應當拋棄這種思想──「我有用處麼？」認定我們是沒有用的，那麼，我們或者近乎真理了。因為這絕不是有用無用的問題，卻是對於神自身價值的問題。我們擺脫一切而順服神，祂就隨時藉著我們工作起來。

二月廿一日 「……不要驚惶，因為我是你的神。」以賽亞書四十一章10節 當我們的懼怕時，神的安慰是何等溫柔啊！祂甜美地說：「因為我耶和華──你的神必攙扶你的右手，對你說：不要害怕！我必幫助你。」(賽四一13)祂不只說了一次，並且攙扶我們的右手，重複好幾回這個應許。 神聖的主藉著祂對加利利海邊的門徒所說的：「是我，不要怕。」(約六20)把許多鼓舞的話濃縮成一個永遠能安慰的信息。祂確是懼怕的解藥、苦惱的補救，因為祂乃是救恩的泉源。所以我們應該不再懼怕，定睛在祂的身上，繼續地住在祂裡面，並以祂為滿足。 讓我們緊緊地靠著祂，並且說：「所以，地雖改變，山雖搖動到海心，……我們也不害怕。」(詩四六2—3)
