提摩太前書, 1章

^1:1 奉我們救主　神和我們的盼望基督耶穌之命，作基督耶穌使徒的保羅 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the command of God our Savior and of Christ Jesus our hope,
^1:2 寫信給那因信主作我真兒子的提摩太。願恩惠、憐憫、平安從父　神和我們主基督耶穌歸與你！ To Timothy my true son in the faith: Grace, mercy and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.
^1:3 我往馬其頓去的時候，曾勸你仍住在以弗所，好囑咐那幾個人不可傳異教， As I urged you when I went into Macedonia, stay there in Ephesus so that you may command certain men not to teach false doctrines any longer
^1:4 也不可聽從荒渺無憑的話語和無窮的家譜；這等事只生辯論，並不發明　神在信上所立章程。 nor to devote themselves to myths and endless genealogies. These promote controversies rather than God's work--which is by faith.
^1:5 但命令的總歸就是愛；這愛是從清潔的心和無虧的良心，無偽的信心生出來的。 The goal of this command is love, which comes from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.
^1:6 有人偏離這些，反去講虛浮的話， Some have wandered away from these and turned to meaningless talk.
^1:7 想要作教法師，卻不明白自己所講說的所論定的。 They want to be teachers of the law, but they do not know what they are talking about or what they so confidently affirm.
^1:8 我們知道律法原是好的，只要人用得合宜； We know that the law is good if one uses it properly.
^1:9 因為律法不是為義人設立的，乃是為不法和不服的，不虔誠和犯罪的，不聖潔和戀世俗的，弒父母和殺人的， We also know that law(\f1 1:9 Or|i that the law|d) is made not for the righteous but for lawbreakers and rebels, the ungodly and sinful, the unholy and irreligious; for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers,
^1:10 行淫和親男色的，搶人口和說謊話的，並起假誓的，或是為別樣敵正道的事設立的。 0 for adulterers and perverts, for slave traders and liars and perjurers--and for whatever else is contrary to the sound doctrine
^1:11 這是照著可稱頌之　神交託我榮耀福音說的。 that conforms to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which he entrusted to me.
^1:12 我感謝那給我力量的我們主基督耶穌，因他以我有忠心，派我服事他。 I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me strength, that he considered me faithful, appointing me to his service.
^1:13 我從前是褻瀆　神的，逼迫人的，侮慢人的；然而我還蒙了憐憫，因我是不信不明白的時候而做的。 Even though I was once a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent man, I was shown mercy because I acted in ignorance and unbelief.
^1:14 並且我主的恩是格外豐盛，使我在基督耶穌裏有信心和愛心。 The grace of our Lord was poured out on me abundantly, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.
^1:15 「基督耶穌降世，為要拯救罪人。」這話是可信的，是十分可佩服的。在罪人中我是個罪魁。 Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners--of whom I am the worst.
^1:16 然而，我蒙了憐憫，是因耶穌基督要在我這罪魁身上顯明他一切的忍耐，給後來信他得永生的人作榜樣。 But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his unlimited patience as an example for those who would believe on him and receive eternal life.
^1:17 但願尊貴、榮耀歸與那不能朽壞、不能看見、永世的君王、獨一的　神，直到永永遠遠。阿們！ Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen.
^1:18 我兒提摩太啊，我照從前指著你的預言，將這命令交託你，叫你因此可以打那美好的仗。 Timothy, my son, I give you this instruction in keeping with the prophecies once made about you, so that by following them you may fight the good fight,
^1:19 常存信心和無虧的良心。有人丟棄良心，就在真道上如同船破壞了一般。 holding on to faith and a good conscience. Some have rejected these and so have shipwrecked their faith.
^1:20 其中有許米乃和亞力山大；我已經把他們交給撒但，使他們受責罰就不再謗瀆了。 Among them are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I have handed over to Satan to be taught not to blaspheme.

荒漠甘泉五合一

■ 中文荒漠甘泉（10月18日）

十月十八日「你要的確知道，你的後裔必寄居別人的地……那地的人要苦待他們四百年……後來他們必帶著許多財物，從那裡出來。」創世記十五章13、14節神給我們的祝福中間，有兩個是我們所最不歡迎的：一個是遲延，一個是苦難。神給亞伯蘭本身的一個誓約尚未實現，現在又給他的後裔一個同樣彷彿不可忍耐的誓約。但是無論如何，這些誓約雖然遲延，至終都得到了實現：以色列人出埃及的時候，果然「把埃及人的財物奪去了。」（出十二36）神常用遲延和苦難來試驗我們；但是在這一切中間卻站著神的誓約─—祂在基督裡與我們所立的新約。所以讓我們為著遲延和苦難來讚美祂罷，因為這是祂給我們的祝福。　　　　　　　　　　─崔倫保多年來你從苦痛中發生的禱告，　是不是至今還沒有得到回音？信心在消沈，希望在幻滅嗎？　你可是灰心得淚下沿襟？莫說天父未曾聽到你的祈禱，　總有一天，你期望的音信必然降臨。還沒有回音？莫說未蒙接受；　也許你的事還沒有全部完工。在你首次祈禱時就動手，　神作諸事向來有始有終。只要你繼續虔誠崇拜，　某時某地你必見祂榮光。還沒有回音？信心決不會徒勞，　它堅定安穩，如在磐石植根；在最響的霹靂之下不喪膽，　在狂風暴雨裏顯出堅貞，它知道萬能的神已聽見它祈禱，　高喊道：某時某地，這事必成。　　　　　　　　　　─布朗妮

■ 英文荒漠甘泉（10月18日）

October 18 "Know of a surety that thy seed shall be sojourners in a land that is not theirs;...they shall afflict them four hundred years;... and afterward they shall come out with great substance."(Gen. 15:13-14) 　ＡN assured part of God's pledged blessing to us in delay and suffering. A delay in Abram's own lifetime that seemed to put God's pledge beyond fulfillment was followed by seemingly unendurable delay of Abram's descendants. But it was only a delay: they "came out with great substance." The pledge was redeemed. 　God is going to test me with delays; and with the delays will come suffering, but through it all stands God's pledge: His new covenant with me in Christ, and His inviolable promise of every lesser blessing that I need. The delay and the suffering are part of the promised blessing; let me praise Him for them today; and let me wait on the Lord and be of good courage and He will strengthen my Heart. 　　　　　　　　　　－G. G. ■ 永活之泉（10月18日）

十月十八日　神的羔羊「神的羔羊是以父神所賜永遠的慈愛和溫柔為其心志，而自己以復活將溫柔和慈愛賜給已墮落的人類；當我們思想到這位升到高天的羔羊，仍離我們如此的近，從天降在我們中間卻仍舊在天，是有何等的安慰。」哦！我能與神和好是何等的美！一旦治死老我是何其喜樂！聖化的生活，又是何其有福！唯有您能使我除掉罪惡，無論往何處去都帶領管理我；您能除去老我，領我歸向神，您有天地最大的權柄能力，除有您的啟示我無法放任我的思想，及其語文的能力，或其他為自己安排的事，而這種生活的記號就是心靈得安息。污穢而勞苦的老我得自由，自然的活出溫柔、謙卑、忍耐與神的靈和好，喜樂的等待新郎，除了參與羔羊娶妻的婚宴別無所盼。這個婚宴象徵神人有永遠的合一，換句話說就是愛的靈在我們心靈中產生，我們可得到神所賜的平安和喜樂，而吹滅未得平安喜樂前有的東西。使你持守具有溫柔、謙卑、忍耐和與神和好的方法，就是你必須讓自己的老我實在地治死，而得到更大的榮光，在每件事上都使自己完全的死，並降服在羔羊溫柔的靈之下。「神的羔羊有能力使我們脫離墮落的光，具有祂溫柔而謙卑的德性。」讓我們傾聽羔羊的呼喚：「你們要學我的樣式，我心柔和謙卑。」神是何等高舉祂的謙卑，讓我們脫去老舊的生活，傚法祂謙卑柔和的心，我們的心自然可得享安息。

■ 中文屬天日子（10月18日）

十月十八日　宣教師靈修的鎖鑰「因他們是為主的名出外。」約翰三書7節我們的主告訴我們對於祂的愛，將如何表現出來。「你愛我麼？」「你能餧養我的羊。」──把你自己與我在別人裡面的興趣同化起來，不是把我與你在別人裡面的興趣同化起來。哥林多前書十三章4—8節道出了這種愛的性質，這就是神的愛自身的表現。我愛耶穌的測驗，是實際的，其餘的都是情感的胡言。忠於耶穌基督，是聖靈在我裡面所作成的救贖工作。這聖靈將神的愛，散開在我心裡，而那愛藉著我與別人接贖時發生有效的工作。從理性方面看，雖然可以否認祂，說祂像朝霧一樣無力，然而我依舊忠於祂的名。宣教師靈修的鎖鑰，是除了我們的主以外，不與任何人發生連結。我們的主在外表上，雖是沒有離開事物，在平常事物中往往來來；祂的內心卻是朝向神。我們表面所離避的事，反而內部有很重要連的結。宣教師的忠誠，是保持他的心靈朝向主耶穌基督的本性。我們的主所差出從事祂的事業的男女，是平常的資材，不過加上從聖靈所得來的，對於祂的忠心。

■ 中文上海嗎哪（10月18日）

十月十八日「並且被造的，沒有一樣在祂面前不顯然的；原來萬物在那與我們有關係的主眼前，都是赤露敞開的。」希伯來書四章13節「赤露敞開」這幾個字，使我們很容易聯想到在競技場上的運動員。雖然他竭力爭戰，但最後卻敗在對手的腳下。他不僅手上失去了武器，更是處於完全無助的狀態下。他躺在地上，既不能再攻擊，甚至手都提不起來。他的情況真可謂赤露敞開，既無武器，又無能力。那時他只有在對手的腳下求情了。神要我們來到祂面前也是赤露敞開的，因為那時我們會停止自己的掙扎、奮鬥、改進，而完全無助地向神求恩典。這其實也是罪人惟一的希望，因為惟有在我們來到祂腳前求恩典時，耶穌才能舉起我們，賜給我們所期待的完備救恩。願意有更深更高屬靈生命的基督徒，必須得先承認自己是無價值、無助的。並且願意在耶穌腳前赤露敞開地躺下。
