1:1 奉 神旨意,蒙召作耶穌基督使徒的保羅,同兄弟所提尼, Paul, called to be an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, and our brother Sosthenes,
1:2 寫信給在哥林多 神的教會,就是在基督耶穌裏成聖、蒙召作聖徒的,以及所有在各處求告我主耶穌基督之名的人。基督是他們的主,也是我們的主。 To the church of God in Corinth, to those sanctified in Christ Jesus and called to be holy, together with all those everywhere who call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ--their Lord and ours: 1:3 願恩惠、平安從 神我們的父並主耶穌基督歸與你們。 Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 1:4 我常為你們感謝我的 神,因 神在基督耶穌裏所賜給你們的恩惠; I always thank God for you because of his grace given you in Christ Jesus. 1:5 又因你們在他裏面凡事富足,口才、知識都全備, For in him you have been enriched in every way--in all your speaking and in all your knowledge-- 1:6 正如我為基督作的見證,在你們心裏得以堅固, because our testimony about Christ was confirmed in you. 1:7 以致你們在恩賜上沒有一樣不及人的,等候我們的主耶穌基督顯現。 Therefore you do not lack any spiritual gift as you eagerly wait for our Lord Jesus Christ to be revealed. 1:8 他也必堅固你們到底,叫你們在我們主耶穌基督的日子無可責備。 He will keep you strong to the end, so that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. 1:9 神是信實的,你們原是被他所召,好與他兒子─我們的主耶穌基督一同得分。 God, who has called you into fellowship with his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, is faithful. 1:10 弟兄們,我藉我們主耶穌基督的名勸你們都說一樣的話。你們中間也不可分黨,只要一心一意,彼此相合。 0 I appeal to you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another so that there may be no divisions among you and that you may be perfectly united in mind and thought. 1:11 因為革來氏家裏的人曾對我提起弟兄們來,說你們中間有紛爭。 My brothers, some from Chloe's household have informed me that there are quarrels among you. 1:12 我的意思就是你們各人說:「我是屬保羅的」;「我是屬亞波羅的」;「我是屬磯洗的」;「我是屬基督的」。 What I mean is this: One of you says, <<I follow Paul>>; another, <<I follow Apollos>>; another, <<I follow Cephas(\f1 1:12 That is, Peter)>>; still another, <<I follow Christ.>> 1:13 基督是分開的嗎?保羅為你們釘了十字架嗎?你們是奉保羅的名受了洗嗎? Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Were you baptized into(\f2 1:13 Or|i in|d; also in verse 15) the name of Paul? 1:14 我感謝 神,除了基利司布並該猶以外,我沒有給你們一個人施洗; I am thankful that I did not baptize any of you except Crispus and Gaius, 1:15 免得有人說,你們是奉我的名受洗。 so no one can say that you were baptized into my name. 1:16 我也給司提法那家施過洗,此外給別人施洗沒有,我卻記不清。 (Yes, I also baptized the household of Stephanas; beyond that, I don't remember if I baptized anyone else.) 1:17 基督差遣我,原不是為施洗,乃是為傳福音,並不用智慧的言語,免得基督的十字架落了空。 For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel--not with words of human wisdom, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power. 1:18 因為十字架的道理,在那滅亡的人為愚拙;在我們得救的人,卻為 神的大能。 For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. 1:19 就如經上所記:我要滅絕智慧人的智慧,廢棄聰明人的聰明。 For it is written: <<I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate.>> (\f3 1:19 Isaiah 29:14) 1:20 智慧人在哪裏?文士在哪裏?這世上的辯士在哪裏? 神豈不是叫這世上的智慧變成愚拙嗎? Where is the wise man? Where is the scholar? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? 1:21 世人憑自己的智慧,既不認識 神, 神就樂意用人所當作愚拙的道理,拯救那些信的人;這就是 神的智慧了。 For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe. 1:22 猶太人是要 神蹟,希臘人是求智慧, Jews demand miraculous signs and Greeks look for wisdom, 1:23 我們卻是傳釘十字架的基督,在猶太人為絆腳石,在外邦人為愚拙; but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles, 1:24 但在那蒙召的,無論是猶太人、希臘人,基督總為 神的能力, 神的智慧。 but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. 1:25 因 神的愚拙總比人智慧, 神的軟弱總比人強壯。 For the foolishness of God is wiser than man's wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man's strength. 1:26 弟兄們哪,可見你們蒙召的,按著肉體有智慧的不多,有能力的不多,有尊貴的也不多。 Brothers, think of what you were when you were called. 七月廿日 「我們既然有一位……大祭司,就是神的兒子耶穌,便當持定所承認的道。……我們只管坦然無懼,來到施恩的寶座前,為要得憐恤,蒙恩惠作隨時的幫助。」希伯來書四章14、16節 我們禱告上最大的幫手就是主耶穌基督,祂是我們在父那裏的中保、我們的大祭司,祂現在主要的職務,就是替我們在父前說情、代求。祂從我們手裏把我們不完全的祈禱接過去,將其中的污穢潔淨了、錯誤更正了,然後用自己的名義,藉贖罪的功蹟和正直到父前去索取答應。 弟兄姊妹,你對於禱告已經灰心了嗎?快不要這樣。你的中保已經替你索到答應了,勝利已經在路上了。如果祂看見你已經放棄了祈求,這要使祂多麼憂愁多麼失望呢!祂已經為你進到神的內室,已經將你的名字用兩手遞了上去;報好信息的使者也在路上了,聖靈只在等待─要在你信靠的時候,將寶座前答應的回聲─—「已成了」─—輕聲報在你心裡。 ─宣信 在每一個蒙答應的禱告上,聖靈都曾花了極大的力量來幫助我們,可惜我們常常將祂的工作忽略了。祂啟發我們的意志,叫我們看見禱告的需要;祂軟化我們的心來同意;祂催促我們的願望;祂叫我們清楚看見神的能力、智慧和恩典來享受慰藉;祂鼓勵我們倚靠主的信實來排斥一切的疑懼。所以在一個蒙答應的禱告上,父、子、靈,都佔了極大的重要。 ─安格雅各

July 20 "Seeing then that we have a great high priest...Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. Let us come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need."(Heb. 4:14,16.) OUR great Helper in prayer is the Lord Jesus Christ, our Advocate with the Father, our Great High Priest, whose chief ministry for us these centuries has been intercession and prayer. He it is who takes our imperfect petitions from our hands, cleanses then from their defects, corrects their faults, and then claims their answer from His Father on His own account and through His all-atoning merits and righteousness. Brother, are you fainting in prayer? Look up. Your blessed Advocate has already claimed your answer, and you would grieve and disappoint Him if you were to give up the conflict in the very moment when victory is on its way to meet you. He has gone in for you into the inner chamber, and already holds up your name upon the palms of His hands; and the messenger, which is to bring you your blessing, is now on his way, and the Spirit is only waiting your trust to whisper in your heart the echo of the answer from the throne, "It is done." ─A. B. Simpson. The Spirit has much to do with acceptable prayer, and His work in prayer is too much neglected. He enlightens the mind to see its wants, softens the heart to feel them, quickens our desires after suitable supplies, gives clear views of God's power, wisdom, and grace to relieve us, and stirs up that confidence in His truth which excludes all wavering. Prayer is, therefore, a wonderful thing. In every acceptable prayer the whole Trinity is concerned. ─J. Angell James.

七月廿日 離了我不能作什麼 「常在我裏面的,我也常在他裏面,這人就多結果子;因為離了我,你們就不能作什麼。」約翰福音十五章5節 凡在主耶穌裏面,能得多結果子的偉大應許。祂接著說:「離了我,你們就不能做什麼。」這是我們應該謙卑的理由!在我們的肉體之內有亞當遺傳下來,一無良善,傾向犯罪的本性;我們的肉體也與神為敵,我們在罪惡的權勢之下,無法討神喜悅。 我們應該悔改!不知有多少時候,我們基督徒想我們可以行善,我們想自己變得比較好些,但要記得主耶穌的話:「離了我,你們不能做什麼。」從今以後讓我們單單信賴主耶穌。這是我們應該感謝的理由!基督等著我們歸向祂,如此祂才能住在我們裏面,每天在我們裏面運行,這就是屬靈生命的祕訣,基督在我裏面運行,使我可以完成祂的工作。 這是我們應該喜樂和被激勵的理由:這類基督徒的生命對我們而言是遙不可及,但基督在我裏面運行,我就有這種生命,我只要絕對依靠祂,讓祂每天在我們裏面運行。要切記:「離了我,你們就不能做什麼。」也要記住:「常在我裏面的,就多結果子。」 主將親自看到祂在我裏面,我也在祂裏面。感謝神!這是永遠的靈在我裏面運行,作成的偉大工作。感謝神!基督生命在我裏面,聖靈在每個人的心靈裏運行,使主住在其中,他也住在主裏面。

七月廿日 仰賴神的同在 「但那等候耶和華的……行走卻不疲乏。」以賽亞書四十章31節 一步一步慢走,是不帶急迫之情的表現。「行走卻不疲乏」堅忍達到最高之點的表現。「行走」一語在聖經裡是表現品性的──「約翰看見耶穌來到他那裡,就說:『看哪!神的羔羊!』」在聖經裡從沒有抽像的事,總是活龍活現的。神不說──「造到屬靈的地步」。卻是說──「要在我面前行走」。 當我們無論在身體或情感上不健全的時候,我們老是需要刺激。在身體方面,勢必裝有聖靈;在情感方面,勢必亂用情感,毀棄道德;在靈性方面,如果我們堅持刺激之需要,騰雲而登天,勢必趨於靈性的毀滅。 神同在的真實性,絕不憑藉別的事物,卻是憑藉我們常常將主放在前面的決心。當我們否認祂同在的真實性的時候,我們的問題就來了。詩篇的作者道出了這種經驗──「因此,我們不要畏懼,雖是……」──每當我們以真實為根據的時候,那種經驗就是我們的;不是感覺與神同在,卻是真實與神同在──「唯,祂總是在這裡啊!」 在緊急時間,必要懇求指導,但卻不必常常這樣說──「主啊,指導我這裡,指導我那裡」。祂自然會這樣!如果我們平常的決定不是神的命令,祂必參與其間糾正它們;那時我們務要靜候祂當面的指導。

七月廿日 「……我們也去和祂同死罷。」約翰福音十一章16節 這句話是由低土馬心中深處發出,可說是一種魯莽的愛的舉動。當時門徒都勸主不要回到猶太去,因為他們知道那裡的人對於耶穌使拉撒路復活這件事十分憎恨,他們相信如果耶穌回去,可能會遇到一些危險。當低土馬看到他們無法說服耶穌時,也明白主決心回去面對祂的敵人後,出於他的絕望和忠心,他直覺地說:「我們也去和他同死罷。」他的話語像是出自一個忠心耿耿、願意隨時跟隨領導出生入死的士兵口中。 低土馬的話語比他想像的要有智慧得多了。雖然他和其他門徒沒有立刻分享主的命運,但是他深知恐怕他們都會與主同死,甚至在他們真正受迫害為主殉難之前就被謀害了。 認真嚴肅地說,這些話是主真正的門徒所應當說的。因為祂的死不僅是救恩的泉源,並且是我們生命的典範。 願我們帶著有智慧的信心,以及再度奉獻的心態,與低土馬一同說:「我們也去和他同死罷。」
