歌林多前書, 1章

^1:1 奉　神旨意，蒙召作耶穌基督使徒的保羅，同兄弟所提尼， Paul, called to be an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, and our brother Sosthenes,
^1:2 寫信給在哥林多　神的教會，就是在基督耶穌裏成聖、蒙召作聖徒的，以及所有在各處求告我主耶穌基督之名的人。基督是他們的主，也是我們的主。 To the church of God in Corinth, to those sanctified in Christ Jesus and called to be holy, together with all those everywhere who call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ--their Lord and ours:
^1:3 願恩惠、平安從　神我們的父並主耶穌基督歸與你們。 Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
^1:4 我常為你們感謝我的　神，因　神在基督耶穌裏所賜給你們的恩惠； I always thank God for you because of his grace given you in Christ Jesus.
^1:5 又因你們在他裏面凡事富足，口才、知識都全備， For in him you have been enriched in every way--in all your speaking and in all your knowledge--
^1:6 正如我為基督作的見證，在你們心裏得以堅固， because our testimony about Christ was confirmed in you.
^1:7 以致你們在恩賜上沒有一樣不及人的，等候我們的主耶穌基督顯現。 Therefore you do not lack any spiritual gift as you eagerly wait for our Lord Jesus Christ to be revealed.
^1:8 他也必堅固你們到底，叫你們在我們主耶穌基督的日子無可責備。 He will keep you strong to the end, so that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.
^1:9 　神是信實的，你們原是被他所召，好與他兒子─我們的主耶穌基督一同得分。 God, who has called you into fellowship with his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, is faithful.
^1:10 弟兄們，我藉我們主耶穌基督的名勸你們都說一樣的話。你們中間也不可分黨，只要一心一意，彼此相合。 0 I appeal to you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another so that there may be no divisions among you and that you may be perfectly united in mind and thought.
^1:11 因為革來氏家裏的人曾對我提起弟兄們來，說你們中間有紛爭。 My brothers, some from Chloe's household have informed me that there are quarrels among you.
^1:12 我的意思就是你們各人說：「我是屬保羅的」；「我是屬亞波羅的」；「我是屬磯洗的」；「我是屬基督的」。 What I mean is this: One of you says, <>; another, <>; another, <>; still another, <>
^1:13 基督是分開的嗎？保羅為你們釘了十字架嗎？你們是奉保羅的名受了洗嗎？ Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Were you baptized into(\f2 1:13 Or|i in|d; also in verse 15) the name of Paul?
^1:14 我感謝　神，除了基利司布並該猶以外，我沒有給你們一個人施洗； I am thankful that I did not baptize any of you except Crispus and Gaius,
^1:15 免得有人說，你們是奉我的名受洗。 so no one can say that you were baptized into my name.
^1:16 我也給司提法那家施過洗，此外給別人施洗沒有，我卻記不清。 (Yes, I also baptized the household of Stephanas; beyond that, I don't remember if I baptized anyone else.)
^1:17 基督差遣我，原不是為施洗，乃是為傳福音，並不用智慧的言語，免得基督的十字架落了空。 For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel--not with words of human wisdom, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power.
^1:18 因為十字架的道理，在那滅亡的人為愚拙；在我們得救的人，卻為　神的大能。 For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
^1:19 就如經上所記：我要滅絕智慧人的智慧，廢棄聰明人的聰明。 For it is written: <> (\f3 1:19 Isaiah 29:14)
^1:20 智慧人在哪裏？文士在哪裏？這世上的辯士在哪裏？　神豈不是叫這世上的智慧變成愚拙嗎？ Where is the wise man? Where is the scholar? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?
^1:21 世人憑自己的智慧，既不認識　神，　神就樂意用人所當作愚拙的道理，拯救那些信的人；這就是　神的智慧了。 For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe.
^1:22 猶太人是要　神蹟，希臘人是求智慧， Jews demand miraculous signs and Greeks look for wisdom,
^1:23 我們卻是傳釘十字架的基督，在猶太人為絆腳石，在外邦人為愚拙； but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles,
^1:24 但在那蒙召的，無論是猶太人、希臘人，基督總為　神的能力，　神的智慧。 but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.
^1:25 因　神的愚拙總比人智慧，　神的軟弱總比人強壯。 For the foolishness of God is wiser than man's wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man's strength.
^1:26 弟兄們哪，可見你們蒙召的，按著肉體有智慧的不多，有能力的不多，有尊貴的也不多。 Brothers, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth.
^1:27 　神卻揀選了世上愚拙的，叫有智慧的羞愧；又揀選了世上軟弱的，叫那強壯的羞愧。 But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong.
^1:28 　神也揀選了世上卑賤的，被人厭惡的，以及那無有的，為要廢掉那有的。 He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things--and the things that are not--to nullify the things that are,
^1:29 使一切有血氣的，在　神面前一個也不能自誇。 so that no one may boast before him.
^1:30 但你們得在基督耶穌裏，是本乎　神，　神又使他成為我們的智慧、公義、聖潔、救贖。 It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God--that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption.
^1:31 如經上所記：『誇口的，當指著主誇口。』 Therefore, as it is written: <<Let him who boasts boast in the Lord.>>( \f4 1:31 Jer. 9:24)

十一月八日「耶穌帶著彼得、約翰、雅各，上山去禱告。正禱告的時候，他的面貌就改變了，衣服潔白放光……他們看見耶穌榮光。」路加福音九章28、29、32節（直譯）「我如今若在你眼前蒙恩，求你將你的道指示我。」出埃及記卅三章13節耶穌帶著這三個門徒，暗暗的上了高山，和他們在那裡有一個極親密的交通。他們不見一人。只見耶穌在那裡；啊！他們在那裡真好！凡與主同在山上的人，天離他們不遠了。有多少人，在默想禱告的時候，看見天開了。有多少人，在密室裡與神交通的時候，感覺一陣洶湧的波濤突衝進來。這些都是預嘗天上的快樂。主耶穌在世的時候，常和祂的門徒到安靜的山上去談話。今天我們呢？我們的生活多麼急促—─從早到晚過著極其紛亂的生活。在這惡勢力之下，安靜默想、讀經祈禱，與主交通的機會多麼少啊！但以理在巴比倫的吼怒、迷信之下，仍不忽略他的密室生活。彼得的密室是在約帕的一個房頂上；馬丁路得的密室是在韋登伯（Wittenberg）的一間上房裡。　　　　　　　　　　─譯自已失去的默想的藝術信徒啊，來親近主！也許主今天要帶你上山頂去；不要想只有彼得、約翰、雅各，是配去的；彼得是一個最會闖禍的人，雅各和約翰是火氣最大的人，他們曾一再誤會他們的主和主的使命；所以沒有理由可以叫主不帶你去。不要自暴自棄地說：「啊，這些奇異的經歷是只有最少數的屬靈人能得到的！」也許你今天就能得到呢！　　　　　　　　　　─馬克乃爾

■ 英文荒漠甘泉（11月08日）

November 8 "He took Peter and John and James, and went up into a mountain to pray, and as he prayed, the fashion of his countenance was altered, and his raiment was white and glistering...they saw his glory." (Luke 9:29,32.) "If I have found grace in thy sight, show me thy glory." (Exod. 33:13) 　ＷHEN Jesus took these three disciples up into that high mountain apart, He brought them into close communion with Himself. They saw no man but Jesus only; and it was good to be there. Heaven is not far from those who tarry on the mount with their Lord. 　Who has not in moments of meditation and prayer caught a glimpse of opening gates? Who has not in the secret place of holy communion felt the rush of some white surging wave of emotion-a foretaste of the joy of the blessed? 　The Master had times and places for quiet converse with His disciples, once on the peak of Hermon, but oftener on the sacred slopes of Olivet. Every Christian should have his Olivet. Most of us, especially in the cities and towns, live at high pressure. From early morning until bedtime we are exposed to the whirl. Amid all this maelstrom how little chance for quiet thought, for God's Word, for prayer and heart fellowship! 　Dr. Joseph Parker once said: "If we do not get back to visions, peeps into heaven, consciousness of the higher glory and the larger life, we shall lose our religion; our altar will become a bare stone, unblessed by visitant from Heaven." Here is the world's need today-men who have seen their Lord. 　　　　　　　　　　－The Lost Art of Meditation. 　Come close to Him! He may take you today up into the mountain top, for where He took Peter with his blundering, and James and John, those sons of thunder who again and again so utterly misunderstood their Master and His mission, there is no reason why He should not take you. So don't shut yourself out of it and say, "Ah, these wonderful visions and revelations of the Lord are for choice spirits!? They may be for you! 　　　　　　　　　　－John Mcneill.

■ 永活之泉（11月08日）

十一月八日　聖靈「你們要受聖靈的洗。」「聖靈降臨在你們身上，你們就必得著能力。」使徒行傳一章5、8節教會第三個特性——有聖靈的能力。自從亞當犯罪之後，就失去神曾吹入他裏面的靈。神的靈曾儘量和人在一起，並且以大能運行在其中，但在人裏面卻找不到永遠的居所。只有當基督降世，藉死敗壞死的權勢，又因復活有賜人的新生命在祂裏面；神的靈可在人心中掌權，並使他內住在基督和神裏面。除此以外，沒有別的能力會使門徒和我們勝過罪惡並得以自由；聖靈是聖潔的靈，在舊約時代稱為神的靈，但如今在基督的十字架上彰顯神的聖潔，基督又使我們成聖，使我們能像祂一樣聖潔，神聖潔的靈也能內住在人裏面，並使他們成為神聖潔的殿宇。祂是聖子的靈，在世上祂引導聖子進入曠野開始受撒但的試探，並到拿撒勒的會堂宣告祂已應驗先知的話（賽六一1；路四18），在十字架上基督順服自己。現在聖靈在我們裏面啟示基督，開始成為我們的生命，然後成為能力，使之完全順服並有能力傳道。奇妙的奧秘！神的靈是我們的生命，基督的靈是我們的亮光和能力；當我們能像初代門徒被聖靈引導，就會有能力從事有功效的禱告，因為義人的禱告大有功效。

■ 中文屬天日子（11月08日）

十一月八日　祈禱的能力無有配敵「我們本不曉得當怎樣禱告，只是聖靈親自用說不出來的歎息，替我們禱告。」羅馬書八章26節我們可感覺因聖靈的祈禱而有精力；我們知道如何在聖靈裡祈禱；但是我們不常感覺聖靈親自用我們說不出來的話在我們裡面祈禱。當我們從神得著重生，而有神的靈住在我們裡面，祂將我們說不出來的說出來。在你裡面的靈，「祂照著神的旨意替聖徒祈求。」神鑒察你的心，不是要曉得你的意識得到的祈求是甚麼，卻是要找出聖靈的祈禱是甚麼。神的靈需要信者的本性為殿，在裡面獻上祂的代求。「你們的身子就是聖靈的殿。」當耶穌潔淨聖殿的時候，祂不許人拿著器具從殿裡經過。神的靈不許你們用自己的身體成就自己的方便，耶穌忍心的將殿裡買賣的東西拋出去，而且說──「我的殿必作禱告的殿，你們倒使它成為賊窩了。」（路十九46）我們認知我們的身體是聖靈的殿麼？如其如此，我們必得當心替祂保守清潔。我們必要記起我們覺醒的生活，雖說只是我們人格的一小部份，卻要把它看為聖靈的殿。祂必照顧我們所不知道的，未覺察的部份；但是我們必要留意守護那意識得到的部份；因為那是我們的責任。

十一月八日「因為賜生命聖靈的律，在基督耶穌裡釋放了我……」羅馬書八章2節罪及疾病有一種自然的律，如果我們陷在環境的情境中，我們就會敗在那惡者的權勢下。但是在基督耶穌裡，屬靈及肉體的生命中也有一個律；藉著這個律，我們能超越、抵擋、勝過令我們敗壞的律。然而要達到這個目標，需要屬靈的力量、決心，以及信心的操練。在一個僅僅靠機械力量的工廠，要能產生動力，就必須使每一個影響主軸的皮帶、小零件，都妥貼地連接。因為惟有每個零件都銜接好，機器才能運作。同理，在我們與主同行的生活中，也有一個屬靈的律。這律對我們作選擇、相信神、住在神裡面、堅固自己有絕對之關係。更是聖靈使我們成為聖潔，或是得醫治所不可或缺的。以下的短詩對這個律有很簡短的描述：有一句話能使靈魂得拯救，那就是：「我相信神。」能使病人得醫治、受苦的得安慰，那就是：「我相信神。」
