1:1 奉 神旨意，蒙召作耶穌基督使徒的保羅，同兄弟所提尼， Paul, called to be an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, and our brother Sosthenes,
1:2 寫信給在哥林多 神的教會，就是在基督耶穌裏成聖、蒙召作聖徒的，以及所有在各處求告我主耶穌基督之名的人。基督是他們的主，也是我們的主。 To the church of God in Corinth, to those sanctified in Christ Jesus and called to be holy, together with all those everywhere who call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ--their Lord and ours: 1:3 願恩惠、平安從 神我們的父並主耶穌基督歸與你們。 Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 1:4 我常為你們感謝我的 神，因 神在基督耶穌裏所賜給你們的恩惠； I always thank God for you because of his grace given you in Christ Jesus. 1:5 又因你們在他裏面凡事富足，口才、知識都全備， For in him you have been enriched in every way--in all your speaking and in all your knowledge-- 1:6 正如我為基督作的見證，在你們心裏得以堅固， because our testimony about Christ was confirmed in you. 1:7 以致你們在恩賜上沒有一樣不及人的，等候我們的主耶穌基督顯現。 Therefore you do not lack any spiritual gift as you eagerly wait for our Lord Jesus Christ to be revealed. 1:8 他也必堅固你們到底，叫你們在我們主耶穌基督的日子無可責備。 He will keep you strong to the end, so that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. 1:9 神是信實的，你們原是被他所召，好與他兒子─我們的主耶穌基督一同得分。 God, who has called you into fellowship with his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, is faithful. 1:10 弟兄們，我藉我們主耶穌基督的名勸你們都說一樣的話。你們中間也不可分黨，只要一心一意，彼此相合。 0 I appeal to you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another so that there may be no divisions among you and that you may be perfectly united in mind and thought. 1:11 因為革來氏家裏的人曾對我提起弟兄們來，說你們中間有紛爭。 My brothers, some from Chloe's household have informed me that there are quarrels among you. 1:12 我的意思就是你們各人說：「我是屬保羅的」；「我是屬亞波羅的」；「我是屬磯洗的」；「我是屬基督的」。 What I mean is this: One of you says, <<I follow Paul>>; another, <<I follow Apollos>>; another, <<I follow Cephas(\f1 1:12 That is, Peter)>>; still another, <<I follow Christ.>> 1:13 基督是分開的嗎？保羅為你們釘了十字架嗎？你們是奉保羅的名受了洗嗎？ Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Were you baptized into(\f2 1:13 Or|i in|d; also in verse 15) the name of Paul? 1:14 我感謝 神，除了基利司布並該猶以外，我沒有給你們一個人施洗； I am thankful that I did not baptize any of you except Crispus and Gaius, 1:15 免得有人說，你們是奉我的名受洗。 so no one can say that you were baptized into my name. 1:16 我也給司提法那家施過洗，此外給別人施洗沒有，我卻記不清。 (Yes, I also baptized the household of Stephanas; beyond that, I don't remember if I baptized anyone else.) 1:17 基督差遣我，原不是為施洗，乃是為傳福音，並不用智慧的言語，免得基督的十字架落了空。 For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel--not with words of human wisdom, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power. 1:18 因為十字架的道理，在那滅亡的人為愚拙；在我們得救的人，卻為 神的大能。 For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. 1:19 就如經上所記：我要滅絕智慧人的智慧，廢棄聰明人的聰明。 For it is written: <<I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate.>> (\f3 1:19 Isaiah 29:14) 1:20 智慧人在哪裏？文士在哪裏？這世上的辯士在哪裏？ 神豈不是叫這世上的智慧變成愚拙嗎？ Where is the wise man? Where is the scholar? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? 1:21 世人憑自己的智慧，既不認識 神， 神就樂意用人所當作愚拙的道理，拯救那些信的人；這就是 神的智慧了。 For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe. 1:22 猶太人是要 神蹟，希臘人是求智慧， Jews demand miraculous signs and Greeks look for wisdom, 1:23 我們卻是傳釘十字架的基督，在猶太人為絆腳石，在外邦人為愚拙； but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles, 1:24 但在那蒙召的，無論是猶太人、希臘人，基督總為 神的能力， 神的智慧。 but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. 1:25 因 神的愚拙總比人智慧， 神的軟弱總比人強壯。 For the foolishness of God is wiser than man's wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man's strength. 1:26 弟兄們哪，可見你們蒙召的，按著肉體有智慧的不多，有能力的不多，有尊貴的也不多。 Brothers, think of what you were when you were called. 二月廿一日 「你當默然倚靠耶和華，耐性等候祂。」詩篇卅七章7節 你有沒有禱告了又禱告，等候了又等候，而仍舊沒有效果呢？ 你看見沒有效果，覺得厭倦麼？你正想放棄麼？你或許要想你等候錯了。如果你這樣想，就會叫你離開正路——離開神所能遇見你的地方了。 「忍耐等候。」（羅八25）忍耐能挪去愁煩。若是主說祂要來，祂的應許就等於祂的同在。忍耐也能擦去你的眼淚。為甚麼難過沮喪呢？祂比你自己更知道你的需要，祂等候的目的，乃是要使你得到更榮耀、更豐富的祝福。忍耐也能挪去自己的工作。主所要求的工作乃是「信」（約六29），當你相信的時候，你就會知道一切都已經成功了。忍耐也能挪去一切的慾望，你切望得到你所要的慾望，也許遠勝過完成神的旨意。 忍耐也能挪去一切的軟弱。忍耐不是懶惰，也不是虛度光陰。你既知道神在預備更榮耀、更豐富的祝福給你，你自己也必須預備去接受。忍耐也能挪去一切的飄搖無定，「扶我站起來。」（但八18）神的根基是頂穩固的；我們有祂的忍耐在裏面，我們等候的時候也穩固了。忍耐有讚美和快樂。讚美的忍耐——「歡歡喜喜的忍耐」（西一11）——是最美麗的忍耐。「但願忍耐成功。」（雅一4，直譯）叫我們在等候中得到神豐富的恩典。 ─C.H.P 火焰燃燒在你胸中， 正是領受內心教訓的時候， 要把握得住， 不再怔忡， 捨此別無瞻顧， 忍耐必獲成功。 ─L.S.P.
■ 英文荒漠甘泉（02月21日）
February 21 "Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him."(Psalm 37:7.) ＨAVE you prayed and prayed and waited and waited, and still there is no manifestation? Are you tired of seeing nothing move? Are you just at the point of giving it all up? Perhaps you have not waited in the right way? This would take you out of the right place─the place where he can meet you. "With patience wait" (Rom. 8:25). Patience takes away worry. He said He would come, and His promise is equal to His presence. Patience takes away your weeping. Why feel sad and despondent? He knows your need better than you do, and His purpose in waiting is to bring more glory out of it all. Patience takes away self-works. The work He desires is that you "believe" (John 6:29), and when you believe, you may then know that all is well. Patience takes away all want. Your desire for the thing you wish is perhaps stronger than your desire for the will of God to be fulfilled in its arrival. Patience takes away all weakening. Instead of having the delaying time, a time of letting go, know that God is getting a larger supply ready and must get you ready too. Patience takes away all wobbling. "Make me stand upon my standing" (Daniel 8:18, margin). God's foundations are steady; and when His patience is within, we are steady while we wait. Patience gives worship. A praiseful patience sometimes "long-suffering with joyfulness" (Col. 1:11) is the best part of it all. "Let (all these phases of) patience have her perfect work" (James 1:4), while you wait, and you will find great enrichment. ─C. H. P. 二月廿一日 神的聖潔（舊約） 「你們要聖潔，因為我是聖潔的，我是叫你們成聖的耶和華。」利未記十一章45節，十九章2節，廿章7—8節，廿一章8、15、23節，廿二章9、16節。 在利未記裡，這些話反覆述說了有九次之多。以色列人學習認識聖潔是神最高最榮耀的性情，所以祂子民也必須有這些特性。凡誠心要正確地認識神，在隱密處與祂相交的人，必須追求聖潔，因為祂是聖潔的。那來到神面前的祭司，必須分別出來，過一個聖潔的生活。 先知以賽亞也說，我看見主坐在高高的寶座上，撒拉弗彼此呼喊說：「聖哉，聖哉，聖哉，萬軍之耶和華。」（賽六3）這是在極深的敬畏中俯伏敬拜的聲音。 那時我說：「禍哉，我滅亡了，因我眼見大君王萬軍之耶和華。」這是一個破碎痛悔的心所發出來的呼聲。然後，有一撒拉弗用從壇上取下來的紅炭，沾他的口，說：「看哪，這炭沾了你的嘴，你的罪孽便除掉，你的罪惡就赦免了。」這是恩典和全備救贖的聲音。 之後，神說：「我可以差遣誰呢？」那樂意的心回答說：「我在這裡，請差遣我！」帶著聖潔的敬畏停在這裡，求神啟示祂自己是聖者。「那至高至上，住在永遠，名為聖潔者的如此說：『我住在至高至聖的所在，也與心靈痛悔謙卑的人同居。』」（賽五十七15）要安靜在神偉大的榮耀和極深的謙卑中，敬拜祂、願意住在我們裡面，與我們同住。 神的兒女，如果你要在隱密處遇見天父，你就要在祂聖潔的榮耀裡，低頭俯伏敬拜祂。給祂時間來向你啟示祂自己。認識神是至聖的，是一個不可言喻的恩典。「你們要聖潔，因為我耶和華你們的神是聖潔的。」「聖哉，聖哉，聖哉，萬軍之耶和華。」「以聖潔為裝飾敬拜耶和華。」「願主，我們神的榮美歸於我們身上。」（詩九十17）

二月廿一日 你曾為祂的緣故，不顧一切麼？ 「她在我身上作的是一件美事。」馬可福音十四章6節 如果人類的愛不能使一個人超出自己本身，那就不是愛了。如果愛總是慎重，聰慧，總是敏於計算，從不令人驚心動魄，那也不全是愛了。那也許是情感，也許是情熱，但沒有愛的真質在裡面。 我曾不顧一切的去替神作事，不是因為那是我的本分，不是因為那件事有用，也不是因為於我愛祂以外別有所圖麼？我能把神認為有價值的事獻在神之前麼？或是我在祂無量的救贖裡玩忽歲月，而不乘時做一番事業呢？算為奇偉的，不是神聖偉大的事。卻是證明我是屬祂的那些最平凡的事算為奇偉。我曾使主耶穌的心裡發生伯大尼的馬利亞所引起的感想麼？ 有時神似乎是等候我們現出怎樣熱烈愛祂的標幟。熱烈的愛神比打算自己的純潔還有價值。自身的純潔是集中目標在我們自己的純潔上；我們極關心我們視聽言動的姿態，唯恐我們觸犯祂。如果我們一旦順服神，獲取了完全的愛，那一切就不算甚麼了。我們應當拋棄這種思想──「我有用處麼？」認定我們是沒有用的，那麼，我們或者近乎真理了。因為這絕不是有用無用的問題，卻是對於神自身價值的問題。我們擺脫一切而順服神，祂就隨時藉著我們工作起來。

二月廿一日 「……不要驚惶，因為我是你的神。」以賽亞書四十一章10節 當我們的懼怕時，神的安慰是何等溫柔啊！祂甜美地說：「因為我耶和華──你的神必攙扶你的右手，對你說：不要害怕！我必幫助你。」(賽四一13)祂不只說了一次，並且攙扶我們的右手，重複好幾回這個應許。 神聖的主藉著祂對加利利海邊的門徒所說的：「是我，不要怕。」(約六20)把許多鼓舞的話濃縮成一個永遠能安慰的信息。祂確是懼怕的解藥、苦惱的補救，因為祂乃是救恩的泉源。所以我們應該不再懼怕，定睛在祂的身上，繼續地住在祂裡面，並以祂為滿足。 讓我們緊緊地靠著祂，並且說：「所以，地雖改變，山雖搖動到海心，……我們也不害怕。」(詩四六2—3)
