1:1 奉 神旨意,蒙召作耶穌基督使徒的保羅,同兄弟所提尼, Paul, called to be an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, and our brother Sosthenes,
1:2 寫信給在哥林多 神的教會,就是在基督耶穌裏成聖、蒙召作聖徒的,以及所有在各處求告我主耶穌基督之名的人。基督是他們的主,也是我們的主。 To the church of God in Corinth, to those sanctified in Christ Jesus and called to be holy, together with all those everywhere who call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ--their Lord and ours: 1:3 願恩惠、平安從 神我們的父並主耶穌基督歸與你們。 Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 1:4 我常為你們感謝我的 神,因 神在基督耶穌裏所賜給你們的恩惠; I always thank God for you because of his grace given you in Christ Jesus. 1:5 又因你們在他裏面凡事富足,口才、知識都全備, For in him you have been enriched in every way--in all your speaking and in all your knowledge-- 1:6 正如我為基督作的見證,在你們心裏得以堅固, because our testimony about Christ was confirmed in you. 1:7 以致你們在恩賜上沒有一樣不及人的,等候我們的主耶穌基督顯現。 Therefore you do not lack any spiritual gift as you eagerly wait for our Lord Jesus Christ to be revealed. 1:8 他也必堅固你們到底,叫你們在我們主耶穌基督的日子無可責備。 He will keep you strong to the end, so that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. 1:9 神是信實的,你們原是被他所召,好與他兒子─我們的主耶穌基督一同得分。 God, who has called you into fellowship with his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, is faithful. 1:10 弟兄們,我藉我們主耶穌基督的名勸你們都說一樣的話。你們中間也不可分黨,只要一心一意,彼此相合。 0 I appeal to you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another so that there may be no divisions among you and that you may be perfectly united in mind and thought. 1:11 因為革來氏家裏的人曾對我提起弟兄們來,說你們中間有紛爭。 My brothers, some from Chloe's household have informed me that there are quarrels among you. 1:12 我的意思就是你們各人說:「我是屬保羅的」;「我是屬亞波羅的」;「我是屬磯洗的」;「我是屬基督的」。 What I mean is this: One of you says, <<I follow Paul>>; another, <<I follow Apollos>>; another, <<I follow Cephas(\f1 1:12 That is, Peter)>>; still another, <<I follow Christ.>> 1:13 基督是分開的嗎?保羅為你們釘了十字架嗎?你們是奉保羅的名受了洗嗎? Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Were you baptized into(\f2 1:13 Or|i in|d; also in verse 15) the name of Paul? 1:14 我感謝 神,除了基利司布並該猶以外,我沒有給你們一個人施洗; I am thankful that I did not baptize any of you except Crispus and Gaius, 1:15 免得有人說,你們是奉我的名受洗。 so no one can say that you were baptized into my name. 1:16 我也給司提法那家施過洗,此外給別人施洗沒有,我卻記不清。 (Yes, I also baptized the household of Stephanas; beyond that, I don't remember if I baptized anyone else.) 1:17 基督差遣我,原不是為施洗,乃是為傳福音,並不用智慧的言語,免得基督的十字架落了空。 For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel--not with words of human wisdom, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power. 1:18 因為十字架的道理,在那滅亡的人為愚拙;在我們得救的人,卻為 神的大能。 For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. 1:19 就如經上所記:我要滅絕智慧人的智慧,廢棄聰明人的聰明。 For it is written: <<I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate.>> (\f3 1:19 Isaiah 29:14) 1:20 智慧人在哪裏?文士在哪裏?這世上的辯士在哪裏? 神豈不是叫這世上的智慧變成愚拙嗎? Where is the wise man? Where is the scholar? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? 1:21 世人憑自己的智慧,既不認識 神, 神就樂意用人所當作愚拙的道理,拯救那些信的人;這就是 神的智慧了。 For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe. 1:22 猶太人是要 神蹟,希臘人是求智慧, Jews demand miraculous signs and Greeks look for wisdom, 1:23 我們卻是傳釘十字架的基督,在猶太人為絆腳石,在外邦人為愚拙; but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles, 1:24 但在那蒙召的,無論是猶太人、希臘人,基督總為 神的能力, 神的智慧。 but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. 1:25 因 神的愚拙總比人智慧, 神的軟弱總比人強壯。 For the foolishness of God is wiser than man's wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man's strength. 1:26 弟兄們哪,可見你們蒙召的,按著肉體有智慧的不多,有能力的不多,有尊貴的也不多。 Brothers, think of what you were when you were called. 二月廿八日 「你們應當……常常以頌讚為祭,獻給神。」希伯來書十三章15節 一個傳道人,在鄉村工作;某天晚上,無意之中走進了一所又暗又髒的小屋;他聽見屋隅發出微弱的聲音問說:「是誰?」他點了一根火柴,從火光中看見了地上的缺乏和痛苦,天上的喜樂和平安——一個黑色的老婦人,臥病在床。她患著風濕症,痛苦異常;可是她仍頂平安、頂喜樂。那時正是最冷的二月,她沒有燃料,也沒有糧食;沒有燈光,也沒有侍奉的人。她所有的,只是倚靠神的信心。人生的痛苦,在她身上都齊全了,一點也沒有甚麼可以叫她快樂的了,可是她仍舊能夠發出「哈利路亞」的讚美來,好似一無缺乏和病痛一般。 「無人知道我所經歷的困苦, 無人知道, 除了耶穌; 無人知道我所經歷的困苦—— 哈利路亞, 讚美主!」 「有時我高昇, 有時我下沈, 有時被棄於地, 受屈蒙塵, 有時榮光自四處照臨—— 哈利路亞, 讚美主!」 歌詞接下去:「無人知道我的工作,無人知道我的悲痛,」結尾還是重複那一句,「哈利路亞,讚美主!」 一直到最後二句: 「無人知道我的歡愉, 無人知道,祗有耶穌!」 她真是「四面受敵,卻不被困住;心裏作難,卻不至失望;遭逼迫,卻不被丟棄;打倒了,卻不至死亡。」(林後四8─9) 馬丁路得在他的病榻上頂痛苦的時候,仍不住的讚美和感謝,並傳這段信息:「這些痛苦和困難,很像排字的人所排的鉛版;現在看上去,字是反的,也讀不出甚麼意義來;可是等到鉛版印在紙上,我們就看得頂清楚,而且亦明瞭其中的意義了。今天我們所受的痛苦,果然解釋不通,但是到了那一天,我們就會明白的。」 保羅在狂風大浪的中間,出來站在船板上,安慰害怕的眾人「你們放心。」(徒廿七22) 保羅,馬丁路得和那位黑色的婦人,都是我們的好榜樣。 ─迦內德

February 28 "Let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually." (Heb. 13:15.) ACITY missionary, stumbling through the dirt of a dark entry, heard a voice say, "Who's there, Honey?" Striking a match, he caught a vision of earthly want and suffering, of saintly trust and peace, "cut in ebony"─calm, appealing eyes set amid the wrinkles of a pinched, black face that lay on a tattered bed. It was a bitter night in February, and she had no fire, no fuel, no light. She had had no supper, no dinner, no breakfast. She seemed to have nothing at all but rheumatism and faith in God. One could not be more completely exiled from all pleasantness of circumstances, yet the favorite song of this old creature ran: "Nobody knows de trouble I see, Nobody knows but Jesus; Nobody knows de trouble I see─ Sing Glory Hallelu! "Sometimes I'm up, sometimes I'm down, Sometimes I'm level on the groun' Sometimes the glory shines aroun'─ Sing Glory Hallelu!" And so it went on: "Nobody knows de work I does, Nobody knows de griefs I has," the constant refrain being the "Glory Hallelu!" until the last verse rose: "Nobody knows de joys I has, Nobody knows but Jesus!" "Troubled on every side, yet not distressed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed." It takes great Bible words to tell the cheer of that old negro auntie. Remember Luther on his sick-bed. Between his groans he managed to preach on his wise: "These pains and trouble here are like the type which the printers set; as they look now, we have to read them backwards, and they seem to have no sense or meaning in them; but up yonder, when the Lord God prints us off in the life to come, we shall find they make brave reading." Only we do not need to wait till then. Remember Paul walking the hurricane deck amid a boiling sea, bidding the frightened crew "Be of good cheer." ■ 永活之泉(02月28日)
二月廿八日 三而一的神 「照父神的先見被揀選,藉著聖靈得成聖潔,以致順服耶穌基督,又蒙祂血所灑的人」彼得前書一章2節 在這裡,我們看見這偉大的三而一之神的真理是我們屬靈生命的根基。這本書特別講到對父神的敬拜,和花時間的需要;每天必須有夠多的時間,在神榮耀的特性裡敬拜祂。但是我們也必須記得,在所有與神的交通裡,聖子和聖靈的同在與能力是絕對需要的。 神在內室中為我們所開啟的,是何等的境界。我們需要花時間來認識,只有主耶穌活潑親密的同在和工作的時候,我們才能與父有交通。也需要花時間來充足的認識,當我每一次親近神的時候,我是何等的需要主耶穌;當祂動工的時候,我當如何相信祂是為我,且在我裡面工作,並且祂的愛是何等地聖潔而親切;在這愛裡,我能與祂同在,並有完全的交通。但是,要學習這功課,是需要花時間的;為著這個,神要大大地祝福報答你! 藉著聖靈全能的力量作工在我們內心深處,祂能將聖子啟示在我們裡面。惟有藉著祂,使我有能力,知道當禱告甚麼並如何禱告;最要緊的是,怎樣奉主耶穌的名來得著禱告已蒙悅納的確證。 親愛的基督徒啊,你有沒有多次覺得,一個人只用五分鐘的工夫來親近神,便能得著神榮耀的感應是一個笑話?現在你對於藉著聖靈在基督裡真實的敬拜神的觀念,是否比以前覺得更需要多花時間來與神聯合,以致能保守你的心懷意念,一直在祂的平安和同在裡呢?惟獨停留在神面前的隱密處,你才得著恩典,能以住在基督裡,整天都受祂靈的引導。 讓我們停下來思想:「照父神的先見被揀選,藉著聖靈得成聖潔,以致順服耶穌基督,又蒙祂血所灑的人。」這些資料都可以幫助默想和敬拜。「你說:你們當尋求我的面。那時我心向你說:耶和華啊,您的面我正要尋求。」(詩廿七8)

二月廿八日 現在你們信麼? 「因此,我們信……耶穌說,現在你們信麼?」約翰福音十六章30—31節 「現在我們信。」耶穌說:「你們信麼?看哪!時候將到,……留下我獨自一人。」有許多基督的工人,因本分的感覺,或因本性之所好,覺得有參加這種工作的必要,不靠耶穌基督的助力。這種工作的起因,在於我們沒有耶穌復活的生命。仰仗自己宗教的悟性之靈,已是與神斷絕了親密的關係。固然沒有罪,也沒有附帶的懲罰;但是當這個人一旦覺得他怎樣攔阻了瞭解耶穌基督,發生愁苦困難的時候,他會含羞帶愧地回轉頭來。我們必須更深切地倚仗耶穌,在一切的事上求合神的意志;但是我們倒是靠我們的常識去決定一切而求神祝福我們。祂不能,這不在祂的範圍,這是與祂的計劃斷絕了關係。如果我們因本分的感覺做事,我們就樹起與耶穌基督競爭的旗幟來了;我們變為「超人」,而且說,「在這件事上,我們這麼做就這麼做,」這樣,我們就把我們本分的感覺放到王位上去,代替耶穌復活的生命。我們受的教訓,不是行在良心的光中或本分感覺的光中,卻是要在光明中行,如同神在光明中。當我們因本分的感覺而工作,我們能以理論來做後盾;當我們因順從主而工作,那就沒有論辯的可能;那也是一位聖者易於被人認為,不可以常理論的緣故了。

二月廿八日 「……你們落在百般試煉中,都要以為大喜樂。」雅各書一章2節 我們不是時時都感到喜樂,但是我們應該「以為大喜樂」。「以為」是聖經中很關鍵的辭。當保羅談到老我的死亡,他要聖徒「當看自己是死的。」(羅六11)雖然我們不覺得自己是死的,而且在我們部份的老我復活時,覺得極為難過;但是我們應該以為自己是死的,既不害怕老我,又不順服它。 換言之,我們應該把試煉看為一種祝福。而且決心喜樂起來,說:「神阿,我心堅定,我心堅定,我要唱詩,我要歌頌。」(詩五七7)這種靠信心而喜樂的情況會很快地變成一種習慣,而且不斷地帶給我們靈裡的歡欣,使我自然流露讚美的話語。 「雖然無花果樹不發旺,葡萄樹不結果,橄欖樹也不效力,田地不出糧食,圈中絕了羊,棚內也沒有牛,然而,我要因耶和華歡欣,因救我的神喜樂。」(哈三17—18) 平安、完全的平安, 即使有苦難如波浪起伏, 在耶穌的懷裡只有寧靜。 平安、完全的平安。即使我們對未來一無所知, 我們認識耶穌,那坐在寶座上的主。
